@S1ayeR74 You are confusing your global market with your cloud market. Fail
S1ayeR74 11:47am
@Trmn8r Well you fail as the CMA stated 'global market' in its report. And I seriously doubt you work for the CMA.
Trmn8r50m ago
@S1ayeR74 The CMA said 70% of CLOUD MARKET SHARE
I've literally said CLOUD the entire time. You are the one saying just GLOBAL MARKET. There is a BIG difference between cloud market and overall gaming market. If you meant cloud when you misspoke, you had like 4 chances to clarify. But you didn't because you thought it was overall market then or are just too proud to admit a clear mistake. Now you are gaslighting after proving yourself wrong. Yes, I am referring to "Global Cloud Market" when I say "Cloud Market", as if that clarification is needed. But saying Global Market =/= Global Cloud Market, especially when you argue against me calling it Cloud Market without ever saying Global Cloud Market yourself. I can't English it any harder than that.
@S1ayeR74 The CMA said 70% of CLOUD MARKET SHARE. How can you seriously think that Xbox has 70% of the general market share? You can't honestly tell me that Xbox is winning the console war with 70% of market share. Please, tell me you believe that honestly. "I believe that Xbox is winning the console war right now with 70% of the gaming market." Please say it so I can laugh at it.
@Kevw2006 Well, if those people do exist, they probably shouldn't be trusted to handle a game console, much less, plug it into a power outlet properly.
@S1ayeR74 Lol you think Xbox owns 70% of the global gaming market? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA I guess Xbox is totally dominating the console war. That's news to me ROFL!!!!
@S1ayeR74 You are confusing your global market with your cloud market. Fail
@Moonglow You can't reason with these disingenuous people who just make things up.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I think most readers are intelligent enough to know that. Like 0.0% of people who read this will think it's only on Game Pass and not available retail.
@Kevw2006 Except what you say hasn't been the case with the devs Microsoft has bought. They are almost all churning out new IPs, including Bethesda. Sony all but owns Square at this point.
@StrawberryWave You called out my intentional example of a false equivalency to prove a false equivalency. Take some time to think about that while you're playing Kena.
@ShadowofTwilight30 So threatened by the 3rd place console are we? Companies are allowed to sell to whatever country they want. If a country blocks their ability to attempt a closer competition parity, they have every right to respond accordingly. They won't, too much money to be had. But they'd be totally justified if they did. But no worry that Sony dominates the market, just that Xbox might get closer to poor Sony.
@Sam_TSM Workers are affected by this not going through too. You unaware of all the problems Activision has had with their employees lately? We were talking about the hypothetical of if UK wants to block Xbox's ability to compete, Microsoft isn't required to sell to UK. Fair is fair.
@StrawberryWave Lol, how much money is in the cloud market vs the general gaming market. Great false equivalency. Xbox and Nintendo chooses to not participate in the VR market, guess we better reverse Sony's purchase of Insomniac then...
@S1ayeR74 Phil isn't an attorney. If anything, Microsoft cans their attorneys for failing to land the deal in court.
And those 10 year deals mean nothing if Microsoft doesn't own CoD. What are you talking about HQ being worried about those deals?
@themightyant And Sony, (whom has cloud tech, but willfully) refuses to join the cloud market, and also has the general gaming market share of top developers isn't capable of making a competitor for CoD in 10 years? It's just such a weak argument.
@StrawberryWave All services that relatively nobody uses. So, because Xbox has cloud streaming they aren't allowed to buy companies anymore? What a ridiculous argument.
@Kevw2006 If only other companies with a larger share of the market and DEVELOPERS could come up with a CoD competitor in 10 years when cloud streaming a twitch shooter "might" be feasible.
@Sam_TSM Nah UK deserves it if they can the deal over such an absurd nothingburger as cloud streaming Call of Duty. CMA is flat out telling Microsoft to play more dirty like Sony. You get what you ask for.
@StrawberryWave It's because Sony and Nintendo literally don't offer any real cloud service! They willfully refuse to offer it. Such a mountain out of a molehill argument. Most people don't even use it, and who on earth is going to play CoD multiplayer over the cloud?! Such a false equivalency.
Sony always gets what it wants. They get this delayed in courts for years through stupid arguments that morons, who know nothing of how videogame markets work buy into. Meanwhile, Microsoft has their money tied up and Sony can continue to dominate the market. It's the Sony way to play dirty, always has been...
@themightyant
Literally a mountain vs molehill comparison to equate general market share with cloud market share. How many people are going to stream CoD multiplayer over the cloud? That's just absurd!
Who are Microsoft going to concede to when Sony won't implement cloud? They can't make concessions to something that doesn't exist. Sony doesn't want to really use cloud and neither does Nintendo. Horrible basis for the ruling when the 2 main competitors willfully reject cloud offerings.
Nobody is streaming CoD over the cloud! Most people barely use it altogether. But punish Xbox because the majority shareholder (Sony) is completely capable and has a cloud offering, but chooses not to implement it more into their system? What an insane ruling.
Nobody is cloud streaming CoD! Much less, really cloud streaming in general. Punishing Microsoft because Sony chooses not to expand their cloud streaming offerings, is insanity.
I mean, it's pretty much a given at this point that Sony will buy Square it seems once they are done crying about the Activision/Blizzard purchase and that goes through. So otherwise, Oxenfree 2 and some no-name game nobody cares about.
@FatalBubbles No, you just talk about how I'm just so insanely biased for sharing information from Digital Foundry while you send me a youtube video from PlayStation Portal. Called confession by deflection. But feel free to continue wasting time with me.
@FatalBubbles So you say the list from Digital Foundry is 2022 so its old then you proceed to send a youtube video from PlayStationPortal (hardly unbiased), where 90% of the games are from 2020! Oh boy...
@Dezzy70 And yet a significant majority of cross-platform games perform better on Xbox than PS. This being an exception. So, if your point is accurate, Xbox could perform at an even higher level than PS than it already does.
@Dezzy70 PS has a better SSD, but Xbox has better CPU and Graphics card. Performance comparisons have show Xbox to be the better hardware overall. There's a reason Sony had to factory overclock the CPU to try to keep up.
@Sakai @GamingFan4Lyf Sakai is proving my point. Xbox is the better hardware. That isn't fanboy that's just simply facts. It's more powerful and the results of a majority of comparisons have proven that. It's still on devs to utilize it properly and there are outliers. But as Sakai pointed out, it favors Xbox over PS and it's not close.
