@Kaloudz Higher courts tend to reject cases that are dismissed before even heard by lower courts. There are rare occasions, but most are dismissed outright.

@NEStalgia I know what they did. But don't act like that isn't something they knew going in. I think they were surprised by 360 going down BC path and felt forced to shove a PS2 inside it. But it shows that they never planned to be BC after PS2 and wanted to regurgitate old games for more profits ever since the PS3 era.

@StrawberryWave Brings more parity to the competition instead of just Sony stomping all over everyone. Competition is good for the consumer.

@themightyant So you are saying that they weren't BC since PS2 until Xbox forced their hand finally. That "original model" on PS3 was quickly shoved out when they realized they could repackage the same games for more money. No excuse as to why they ended BC on PS3 other than that. Most PS3s in circulation are NOT BC and it isn't even close.

Hope they pull the offer after the sale goes through and Microsoft releases CoD on everything but PlayStation. It's really what they deserve, and Microsoft can say they gave them multiple offers and they turned them down, which is true.

There wasn't even a shooter nominated for Game of the Year this last year. The year before's Game of the Year (Deathloop) is on Game Pass.

@Nintendo4Sonic Cuz Game Pass is awesome that's why. Most people don't replay the same game multiple times, so physical ownership doesn't mean much when you can save a ton of money with Game Pass. You are still free to pay more money and own the disc if you want. I like knowing what's coming down the pipe for Game Pass and most others do as well. Be dumb not to mention it when it's happening.

@grumpypotato No, they really aren't. KS is (supposed to be) for indie devs that are self-publishing and need the money upfront. Big difference vs a large publisher incentivizing pre-orders. However, KS is complete garbage when it comes to monitoring that the project follows through, and they won't give you a penny if the project creators are scammers. I got burned big time on KS and will never use it again. Absolutely zero protections and KS won't even refund their cut from the funding. So, they are scammers too.

In some ways, this could also sound like it'll be shadow dropping on Game Pass. Here's hoping.

Like when someone says they are buying a "budget item", that is short speech for saying they are buying a "low budget item". The term "budget" does not always mean cheap. When a corporation announces it's annual "budget", it doesn't announce it's annual "cheap".

Safe to say this game is Undead on Arrival... Someone should've actually watched this The Day Before and told them not to release it.

AAA budget means: "an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time" for "a huge game being made for years".

@BRT15 I played on Game Pass. Yeah, I'd be more salty had I paid full price.

@BRT15 It wasn't crap, but it didn't quite live up to Left 4 Dead's level. Was fun for a little bit, then lost interest as it got fairly repetitive... Turtle Rock can't seem to get over that hump and find a long-lasting hook to their games as they venture on their own.

I'll wait for it to arrive on Game Pass like it's predecessor did. I enjoyed Deliver Us the Moon, but I got enough of a backlog to where I can wait for Mars.

@uptownsoul Compulsion games is not Naught Dog. Same number of studios is a meaningless comparison when different studios produce different levels of games. Not every studio makes AAA budget games and not all should. I shouldn't have to be explaining this...

@uptownsoul Yes, but not at the same level. There are multiple ways for them to try to get at the same level. They could go a different path, but this is one path.

@theGoodChap I can agree with you there. It is getting pretty crazy overall with gaming. Lot of rugs being pulled out from under established IPs and fanbases on both sides. I will say that I do believe most of Activision's games will remain cross-platform. Some of them are too big of a cash cow to pull exclusive. But, you'll get the whole "buy it on PS5 or get it on Game Pass" comparison.

@jordan1992 this isn't sports. Business doesn't function with equal cap space and draft picks. If companies want to dump more capital into "buying itself to the top" they can. They are risking more capital by doing so. And the fact that this doesn't even put them over Sony, negates that point. This merely makes them a legitimate competitor again with the dominate Sony. If Xbox then proceeds to buy EA and Ubisoft, then I'd be getting concerned about that.

@uptownsoul why is every company required to follow the same blueprint? They aren't. The fact that all these Sony fans are constantly on here freaking out about Xbox becoming actually formidable again just shows how entitled you all are to having the dominate console and Sony reflects that same attitude.
