EA and Battlefield Studios have lifted the lid on Battlefield 6 Season 1, with plenty of additional content being added to the game over the coming weeks. The team is doing things a little differently with three separate updates making up Season 1 - with the first of those updates arriving on October 28th.
Yep, that first Season 1 update — known as Rogue Ops — brings the Blackwell Fields map to Battlefield 6, alongside new mode Strikepoint and some fresh weapons for the BF6 sandbox. Here's a description of your latest Battlefield 6 map, Blackwell Fields:
"Coming in Rogue Ops, Blackwell Fields is a massive oil field in the California chaparral. The All-Out Warfare map is set in a desert landscape that catches fire easily as helicopters, planes, and tanks fight over the vast area. Blackwell Fields provides a lot of open space, with rolling hills and low brush that are great for snipers to set up camp. Vehicles also have plenty of room to maneuver on their way to different objectives. But with oil wells, construction equipment, and shipping containers dotting the landscape, there are plenty of places for infantry to dig in and get into some intense fights."

Season 1's second update — known as California Resistance — also adds a new map (Eastwood), a new mode known as Sabotage and some more fresh weapons - with this update set to arrive on November 18th. Again, we'll chuck a summary on the Eastwood map down below:
"With Pax Armata attacking new targets, NATO soldiers find themselves fighting cells in the suburbs of Los Angeles in the California Resistance update. Eastwood is one such Southern California town, where the fighting takes place in the streets and through the houses. Eastwood’s suburban landscape offers a lot of locations for intense skirmishes, with battles fought in and out of living rooms and through drained pools and back yards as tanks shred high-end homes. A wide-open golf course means you’ll need to take care not to get sighted by enemy troops as you move, but there’s still a whole lot of variety in this map."

The team hasn't gone into as much detail on what Season 1's third update will bring to Battlefield 6 - but we already know that it's called Winter Offensive, and will be headlined by a Christmas-themed limited-time map variant called Ice Lock Empire State. There's plenty still to come to BF6 in 2025 then, starting with the Rogue Ops update next week!
