The thing for me with Microsoft is the total lack of trust now. I’ve really tried but now nothing they say I believe and anything they do is now not surprising. If they closed Xbox tomorrow it would not surprise me bit.

Actually they would surprise me if they actually came out and told us really what they are doing in the very near next generation future.
Tell us what it is what it does or does not do.
Level with us.
Nintendo have switch 2 console full native downloaded gaming
Sony will have PS6 console full native downloaded gaming and with PS5 games native to download.

Microsoft, mmmm well, not sure, maybe a console downloading full native games and series x games. Maybe not, maybe a hybrid, maybe cloud gaming.
Absolutely disgrace to the loyal Xbox gang.

I get what you mean and I don’t mind too much with music myself.
But when it comes to my eyes, they like to be dazzled and see improvements.

To me cloud gaming is like going back to 480p tv when I have 1080p and 4K the same with Dolby atmos etc. all of the better quality draws you into the game more or movie more.

Yep prefer the Xbox controller layout way more than the dualsense controller.

The sticks angled to each other and the trigger feel and movement is better.

Same with the consoles, prefer the series x form factor and of course that brilliant quick resume.

Just a bloody shame Microsoft have managed to mess up series x sales and Xbox consoles future.

Nope Microsoft have messed me around to much now. With all their goings on of the last 2 years and more so recently.

And I really don’t know where I stand with them and the future, so much talk about that rubbish cloud gaming.
I want a next generation Xbox console that downloads games to play natively with all bells and 4K whistles etc.
I’m beginning to believe we won’t get that and have to stream our series x Xbox games and then possibly and maybe have native PC games and would have to buy them again for PC, and here’s the big one unless you have game pass ultimate of course.
What a mess of a company.

Yep I’ve been saying that for about 3 years with Xbox consoles and gamepass.
I used to say sell an Xbox console then maybe sell a gamepass subscription.

But there you go, no rhyme or reason at Microsoft HQ.

They thought COD on game pass day one would totally accelerate game pass sales.
And maybe even Xbox console sales a little.

And guess what and we all knew this, everybody mainly stuck to their platform of choice and paid for it, ie PlayStation or PC.

Microsoft have some really really really dump analysts and forecasters working for them that are so out of touch with the gaming industry.

I mean Xbox consoles had just over 50% of the game pass subscriptions over millions of other devices. And guess what they let the Xbox console die and so did the game pass subscriptions.

I always want a Xbox console hardware in the market place.
As for that rubbish that is cloud gaming, they can stick that where the sun don’t shine.

Full on download native games for a home console. With full on graphics and sound etc.
nothing less will do.

Well they knocked the hell out of their console sales and succeed there.
So now they are bored and want to knock the hell out of game pass, success again in the near future when people’s subs run out.

Will wait and see as have GPU until March 2027.
However they will really a magical next generation machine and some truly epic AAA games to keep at the new higher cost.

They seem to think quantity and pushing cloud gaming is the answer.
I shall sit back if they continue on that route and watch them fail so badly.

All depends what games they are, ok Xbox studios won’t count for to many.
So will we get day one games like silent hill f, AC Shadows, sonic racers, RE9.

Microsoft needs to remember its quality that counts not quantity.

I definitely won’t be renewing, it would take a miracle.
Mine runs until March 2027.
So 2 main things.
What is the next Xbox and I want to be downloading full game native play, not this crap streaming.
Second they need to up their games by their studios, they need top quality AAA, BOTW, SMG2 level of game maybe once a year.
Not just good to really good games.

I laugh at all the big three plead poverty and go on about costs and start increasing prices or skimping.

Then every quarter tell us how well they are doing with this and that. Sometimes record profits for some of them.

Also they make really good to good games Xbox studios
But it’s not like we get at least one 93 plus meta game true AAAA a year as well.
Like. TOTK or super Mario Galaxy. Up there with the legends.

I’m currently fully paid until March 2027.
Then god only knows how much game pass ultimate will be.
Maybe and probably the time to leave then and of course depending on Xbox next console hybrid thing.

I work for a private owned family firm that invest so much back into their company, tech wise.
It’s absolutely brilliant.

Will be interesting to see how long the B6 and COD campaigns are this year and how good, as there is competition for this.

I will play COD campaign GPU.
Then see how long B6 campaign is before paying any money or just wait for EA play on GPU release.

All ready for this FH6 2026 on GPU.

Quick get one now before the price goes up next month by £100 and then corporate greed can blame tariff’s. 🤣

I think we are safe with clockwork there is lots of real gameplay.
For me Fable is the one I’m concerned about.

GPU with series x the best value in gaming.

Well it’s still releasing before my GPU expires in March 2027, so that’s good for me.
I’m theory 2026 should the best GPU year ever for big Xbox first party titles.

Strange it’s not day one on PS5.
I guess it’s to keep game pass ultimate in a sort of gets it first selling point.
Or maybe yet again Xbox are changing tactics, either way the usual Xbox not having an over arching strategy, more it depends on the game and weather 🤣

Was never going to be anything special really and didn’t expect anything.
FH6 was nice to see, maybe gameplay next time.

More interested today now to see how Ghost of Yotei reviews at 2pm UK time.

Watched the show it was ok, but not much for me, maybe I’m getting older but was still not like the old PS4 Sony, and that’s coming from a Pro owner.
Now my attention turns to my series x and GPU, with Outerworlds 2, NG4 and COD.

I’ve gone way past caring about Xbox now.

Won’t be picking this up after reading and watching some reviews.
For me it needed to start better and have more enemies and weapon options and longer for the money.
I’m more of resistant evil village gamer.

Hopefully I’m still alive when this releases, I’m getting on a bit now.

I’m a big only campaign player for both.
So will play COD campaign on GPU
And see if the BF6 campaign is worth paying for. Or wait maybe up to a year for BF6 to appear in EA Play with GPU, will be patched to perfection by then 🤣

Me thinks someone realises COD has some competition this year BF6.

GPU has been pretty good this year and we have, Outerworlds 2 and NG4 to come yet.

When I look at third party I just the feel the quality of these AAA games that have spent 5 years plus in development, a lot of them haven’t hit the 90 meta plus and stuck around low to mid 80s. So not hot the mark.
ACS, BL 4 and SHf as examples. I really feel I have not missed out on much.
I mean who releases a game that gets a lower Framerate as you keep playing 😖

Great reviews until the last 3. I read Push Square before any others.
Not sure about this one.
Also next month there is Yooka reply.
Also GPU Outerworlds 2 and NG4.

I’m very surprised only 4 enemies not including bosses.
A 15 hour game could have at least 8 enemy types. Seems a bit lacking there.

I don’t me stated on Ford 🤣
I used to be UK Ford loyalist until they but tiny engines in the Ford focus UK.
So last year they lost my £33k and I got a new Honda Civic Sport.
And in the UK Ford have become almost nothing now and probably the rest of Europe, I say that with a heavy heart.
God rest the old UK Ford heart and soul.

Will be interesting if Sony follow with price increases.
They can get away with it more now.

I’m sure the world and all these companies are mugging us off.
Food increases and electrical items etc.
Then roll in the quarterly reports and they all making record profits.

Mmmmmm, I have not got any of the main 3s processes and operations after the first two years of this current generation.
However Microsofts has been the most up and down and strange and secretive.

Yep totally agree just imagine some of the big games we have had without ray tracing.
We would have a higher native resolution, more level of detail, better draw distances and better and more stable frame rates.

What is ray tracing, a thing in gaming to keep people buying more powerful hardware.
Mainly in the PC world, but consoles as well, next generation.

The most sold units Switch and maybe switch 2. So underpowered and no ray tracing. in say MK8, BOTW etc and they will and have sold more than any game really.
Even GTA 5, no ray tracing there.

Correct me if I’m wrong but one reason they are getting these great results is we don’t have the big burden of ray tracing on consoles.
Absolutely the right decision if correct.

Going on meta scores is it just me or this long into the PS4, Xbox one and switch era.

We were getting far better scoring games sort of 89 plus to mid 90s
Nowadays it all seems mid to low 80s.

Just downloading sonic racing.

Not great, probably will be the same using quick resume.
They need to fix this.

Well at least somethings must be going right and moving forwards, with NG4 releasing soon and on GPU.

Not for me I have a series x and also great write up.
You should be in charge of Microsoft’s console PR, if it actually existed.

Will wait for reviews etc to make sure it’s worthy, then might purchase.

Also not having ray tracing on consoles will help massively allow extra LOD and very good FPS.
To me ray tracing has hindered this console generation for the worse.
