Starwars outlaws for me.
Actually maybe the B should have been A.

Played the demo not for me.
I prefer Assassin creed shadows over this and over Ghost of Yotei.
Different folks different strokes.

8/10 for me overall, many 10s of hours.
60FPS on series x, also saved the game for me.
However it is one the worst games for graphical shimmer and really should have been worked on that point, the only down side for me.
Considering ACS has a lot more foliage etc and hardly any shimmer at 60FPS it’s shows the developer should have tried harder.

I will probably wait for reviews.
As I like action like RE8 a lot.
RE9 seems to be 50/50 which is sort of ok.

I’m still working through ACS and FC Primal
And High on life 2 release in two weeks.

Was worried at first but now I’ve seen some more action moments and even the girl has a gun but limited it seems more action oriented than I first thought.

Looking at the previews this will be a 90 plus I think.

This could be my first purchase this year.

It’s pro time this weekend with GOY and ACS which confuses my little brain bouncing off each one controls wise.
Anyway my birthday today so out later.

Xbox cloud gaming 5% I’ve just noticed it.
Goes to show how out of touch Microsoft are with the business.

Reading all the posts and I’m not super good on PC things nowadays.
Microsoft are going to try and sell us.
A PC that cannot be upgraded
Will have a Xbox app window for backwards compatibility with series console games etc.

Is that just really a terrible PC.

I mean you could buy a PC and gamepass and have the PC version of the games that we have now. Also you can upgrade your PC.

Cloud can be played anywhere etc.

If you want a console to play Xbox studio games get a PS5 or PS5 Pro.

So what the hell are Microsoft trying to sell us with this very restricted PCHYBRID Device.
It’s a totally waste of time and money for Microsoft. Why don’t they just leave the hardware market and spend the money they save on development of their many studios and games they own.

All the reasons why I love console world.

Microsoft’s potential new PChybrid device really hinges on simplicity and ease of use.
Yes you should be able to run PC games as of course there will be no Xbox console version.
But they really need to have the settings and messing around gone and have the games set to run optimally on the device, as the device specification is a set known, even though it’s PC.
But god only knows how that will works with Steam etc.

On the Rog there are always app updates and driver updates etc and of course tinkering. If the new device is like that most won’t bother and just go PS.

Obviously I’m just an old hand of course and love the console world.

Let’s just hope they actually do release this next generation Xbox PCHYBRID thing and they get windows gaming running top notch.

The issue for me and some others on here is the uncertainty, why don’t they just tell us what this potential new device really is and what it is going to do for us. This is one reason why some are leaving Xbox.
Not knowing what Xbox are really doing and of course trust issues.

Have owned every Xbox console day one.
As for console or PC it is all about personal preference really and I think the console gang will stay consoles with Sony and Nintendo they won’t shift away in any numbers.
The Xbox gang, some will go to the other two consoles especially PS as they get PS and Xbox games, some may shift to Nintendo but that is a lot different.
And some will go PChybrid thing from Microsoft. The existing PC race will stay with PC.
So it will be hardware wise a very very niche market for Microsoft’s PChybrid.
Time Will tell and sales will tell us in the future, but I would bet thousands the PChybrid will be a niche low number sales wise.
As for day one Xbox studios games on the recent show case we know only one game was not day one FH6 and that is still coming within 6 months.
The rest are all day one PS and also Halo and gears. Don’t ever think this will go away, this is it day one PS all Xbox studios games moving forward.

It’s simple businesses will go where the return on investment is and the reduced risk is.
And as we know Xbox consoles are not the best place to go anymore.

I wanted Xbox consoles to have a mid generation refresh, I wanted them to sell trillions, I wanted the exclusives for Xbox consoles.

All true, but Microsoft themselves have added another play option the PS5 or the best console option PS5 Pro.

I think maybe Microsoft may offer another next gen option but it will be like the Rog and maybe made by someone else.
It’s will sell a few but nothing like even the series consoles and miles away from Sony and Nintendo.
And that ends the Xbox as a console and the Microsoft push to be publisher only and continued cloud gaming, that I can’t stand in its current poor quality form.

For years on this website I preached on about Xbox needs to PR, Brand recognition and momentum in the general public domain, else it will slowly be the death of our beloved brand.

And here it continues, such a shame.

I don’t really game at 120hz normally just 60FPS games like Ghost of Yotei.
The way I see it with the Pro is we have probably at least until Nov 2028 2 years and 10 months away for next generation and now Xbox studios are full PS5 and Pro enhanced I get the best of both worlds and the best version of the game.
I have got used to the dualsense now as well.

Welcome aboard the Pro train, you won’t regret it. Especially if you have a top TV.

I’m realising Pro is the way to go if you want top end.
You get all the games from all the studios even Xbox studios day one, not FH6 a little later and even Xbox studios are into the Pro, with Indy and more so FH5 having good Pro enhancements.

It’s getting to the stage now where it just makes sense to go Pro or PS5 I guess.

Part of me thinks if Xbox could click their fingers and every series s and x console would disappear. All existing Game pass subscriptions convert to PC then they would.

But let’s think about this next generation PChybrid, it is what they are actually going to do but in a staged way and not to upset to many folk and keep us rolling in the game pass money and the odd console purchased for now until they are ready to release the PChybrid device.

So many unanswered questions that currently along with day one on PS5 and Pro enhanced are getting many to leave the Xbox platform.

For me don’t need much info not specifications.
I just want to know what it is and does.
Are we playing series x games on cloud only or native downloads to the new device.
Are we not getting Xbox games as such but PC versions downloadable.
Do we have tinker those PC game versions for best output.
Are we getting windows PC games only or Steam etc.

So many unanswered questions, what is the future shape taking for the next generation Xbox device.

Instead they leave us hanging on a thread and publishing mainly now day one to PS5, which PS5 is ok, it’s more what is this new Xbox device.

I’m going Fable this year but Gears early 2027.

I’ve been all digital for years games, music and movies

You may have a point but have you seen some of the games.
You take a last generation top end AAA and today’s ones hardly look any different or play any better.
Something is definitely not right.

I mean when I play ACS on Pro you do see and feel you have more power, once the PSSR update was done, prior the Pro was like series x version almost.
The extra ray tracing at 60FPS and no real shimmer or pixel flicker/crawl in complex bushes and trees at midrange when panning, don’t get me wrong the series x holds up well and second best but there is a gap.

Well they definitely should take advantage of every platform’s strengths, so of course PC then Pro then series x. That’s what publishers do.

With Microsoft I have a horrible feeling I’m about to be dumped.
And you are absolutely correct, they need to say what they are doing.
We know they are keeping us hanging on a thread until they decide.
It would be could if they came out with it, because I don’t trust them at all.
Not like when Nintendo say we are getting a switch 2 or Sony a PS6.

I think Xbox is going through a transition and maybe they don’t know what to do, next generation or not.

The cloud rubbish to me, worry’s me as well.

I don’t seem to have a single problem with quick resume, but I’m not playing online games. The division 2 for example doesn’t gel well with quick resume.

Gears 5 to gears e day seems longer than normal.
Also Halo Infinite until we get the next new Halo.
FH5 to FH6 is about 4.5 years. When it used to be two years alternating each year with Forza.

It’s definitely working from home and the younger generations different approach to work life ratio. Lower working hours.
I started work at 41 hours now it is 37 hours per week, same company.

Yep remember queuing in Tesco midnight launch.
Was funny as Tesco staff created two queues.
One for PS3 and one for xbox360. In them days it was equal for both consoles.

Anyway I was young and got carried away with GTA but didn’t think much of it after playing for a good while and stopped about half way through.

Sort of the most complete and best version.

But there is one feature my Series x has that takes the Pro.
QUICK RESUME, the best added feature this generation with the SSD.

I jump from Sonic cross world to ACS to far cry primal today in seconds, exactly where I left off.
ACS has such a long start up time from scratch so quick resume just takes it out going from another game.

I played GTA 5 for a while but the driving cars was not great and probably only did half the game and stopped
Definitely overrated like COD and FIFA the must game to be cool sort of thing.

So far with third party games in general with image quality, sharpness and less pixel crawl and shimmering like ACS and Avatar I’ve tested and found this.
PS5 Pro, ACS once the PSSR patch was released.

PS5

I found comparing the series x to the PS5 Pro is a better thing to do.

The Beaver just mentioned on another thread about games that are better on the Pro from Xbox studios.
I know Indy and FH5 especially was.
So I would expect the new Xbox studios games to be Pro enhanced in some way.

Then you have maybe faster loading times and the controller speaker and haptics and trigger stuff on just on PS5 as well.

Well FH5 was best on Pro basically quality mode at 60FPS etc.

Not sure about other game like Indy etc, I think higher base resolution than series x native 4K.
I don’t think any Xbox studio games has yet used PSSR, so they just upgrade without PSSR.

My guess all Xbox studios games going forward will be best on Pro in some way.
That’s not including maybe faster loading times and the speaker and haptics etc on the controller.

Well it best not be 30fps that would be a shame and definitely won’t go down well with me, with the PS5 crowd especially on the Pro.

For me 30fps would just be devastating, as I said earlier look at ACS and GOY both very graphical at 60FPS even with some console heavy power using ray tracing.

I just assumed fable would be 60FPS, really hope it’s not 30fps that would be great shame and also this long into this generation it should really be 60FPS.
I mean ACS and GOY are 60FPS.

It’s amazing how one game franchise GTA is so feared nowadays and I guess from a business point and sales I can see why.

As for awards, if GTA6 get GOTY I’m sure Fable could be second and also win RPG game of the year.

I’m all good, got plenty to play and got FH6 ready on my dash board to full download when it arrives.

It’s was just prediction fun trying to guess release dates.
Like my Halo shadow drop in Junes Xbox showcase.
I never get it right, but one day I will 😂
