Poll: What Are Your First Impressions Of Black Ops 7 On Xbox Game Pass?

I'll do what I do with every COD every year: wait for a couple of updates to be released, play the campaign, and then uninstall it.

8/10 for me I've mostly just played the campaign and I'm having fun with it so far I might be in the minority but it's really fun with other players and I've only been playing with randoms!
If anyone is looking to play it solo I wouldn't I could imagine it being a slog that way!
I'm not into the new zombies map at all and I haven't played enough multiplayer to have an opinion yet!
Definitely not as good as black ops 6 though for me on any level except probably resolution and graphics!

Don't usually pick up cod, but have jumped into this one and played some Zombies and Dead Ops, it's not bad but I can't see playing it for months on end.

It's good-to-great. I get that many people with shake their hands because of direction of campaign, but I found it genuinely fun, especially endgame.
Of course there are few gripes like story that isn't coherent and some design constraints (teammates talking to you even if they are not there, because two players disconnected or lack of in-mission saves).

MP is way better than BO6 at launch with better maps and few interesting ideas (Overclocks on scorestreaks and equipment).

I played only one Zombies round so I can't give my opinion on that just yet.

So while it isn't the best COD, it's miles away from MW3 for example.

I’m wondering if I don’t like this Cod or I’m over the franchise altogether but I just can’t get onboard with MP this year. Maybe I relied on SBMM more than I thought I did and have been shielded from the teenage sweats but I am getting absolutely rinsed here. I appreciate I can’t call a game bad because of my own skill issues but there have been countless times where I have shot first and riddled someone with bullets for them to 2 shot kill me in response. I will try hardcore before my GPU runs out to see if I enjoy that more but this will likely go down as my least played Cod in the series.

I'm still undecided on whether to play the campaign. I never touch the multiplayer anyway, so it really is either campaign or nothing. Before the game released I didn't like what I saw of the campaign, which was way too trippy for my liking, and then I read Ben's excellent review and it was a pretty solid nope for me. However, a few other Pure commentators gave me their opinions too, and I have gone from a definitely not, to a maybe, though truth be told right now I have so much to get through I can see this game slipping me by without too much regret on my part...

8/10 for me - completed the Campaign (Solo) and quite enjoyed several matches of End-game, Played a few matches of MP and its better than BO6 and even Zombies is a bit more expansive than BO6's launch. So not only does it feel like a bigger game than BO6 with more options. modes, ways to play etc, the gun-play and movement are both superb and solid.

The Only real negatives from my perspective is the Narrative which is not grounded in any way but it does serve the game-play and context. The other is arguably the lack of any real innovation. Both Zombies and MP feel a LOT like BO6 - albeit slightly refined/developed etc and whilst the Campaign is 'experimental' compared to traditional Linear SP campaigns, you won't remember it narratively!!

Agree - I'm currently waiting for them to add the offline campaign — because I think it will make them realize how badly they screwed things up.

Played for a couple of days over the weekend. Every other game had some bit of stuttering. Can't be bothered uninstalling and reinstalling. Went back to Cold War.

COD kind of over saturated the fps market, without a half decent campaign what the point of a yearly cycle, just patch the multiplayer from time to time. While we play battlefield 6

The worst CoD to date, bar none. They should have just omitted the campaign altogether. Would have improved my outlook of the game.

The campaign is at best trash. I dont like mp, so Im sure that part is probably great.

Really weak in the campaign are the boss fights. They just can't do it. Otherwise, it's a typical shooter story. Find this, get that, take out one and take over something else. The worst part is that you don't even expect more anymore.

Worst and only COD campaign that I will not finish. I tried to play it and there are too many reasons to list why I hate the game. I would be here all day. Microsoft has found another franchise to absolutely decimate. Honestly, they are the red headed step-child. Just go away quietly and we will all be fine with our memories.

After replaying CoD BO1 and BO2, I tried the campaign of CoD BO7. It was terrible. The world and characters they had built up until now have collapsed, and it has turned into a game where you fight strange aliens. Just like with Halo and Gears, for some reason the masculine, war-themed characters are being increasingly neglected.

@Chip-Douglas The Cable Guy was the second VHS tape I picked up at a garage sale last year.(I started re-collecting for my beloved VCR again last year)One of my all-time favourite Jim Carrey movies right there.

@Link41x Thats sweet I watched the Michael Keaton and jack Nicholson batman on vhs a few weeks back it's so nostalgic the sound and picture off them while watching on vhs takes me back to my childhood!
But yeah the cable guy is a great movie alright Carrey at his best!
