Sony has this week revealed the top 20 best-selling PS5 games digitally throughout 2025, and Microsoft has a large presence on the list — with Black Ops 7, Black Ops 6, Forza Horizon 5, Oblivion Remastered and more making the cut. Forza Horizon 5 is perhaps the most impressive performer here; the four year old racer outsold Ghost of Yotei last year in Europe.
The Suckerpunch-developed adventure was Sony's flagship exclusive for 2025, but it only came in 11th spot in Europe. Forza Horizon 5 cracked the top-five at number four in the region, and while the Xbox title didn't repeat the same feat in the US, we still think this is very good going for Microsoft and Playground Games.

Looking at the rest of the list, we'd imagine Black Ops 7 hasn't performed quite as well as Xbox and Activision would have hoped given that it misses the top five in both regions, but the rest of Microsoft's entries appear to be positive returns for the company.
Back to FH5 for a moment here; it's looking like that series has great momentum heading into Forza Horizon 6 this year. Rumour has it that the upcoming entry will launch on Xbox and PC in May, meaning it could very well sneak into 2026 on PS5 if Microsoft opts for a six-month exclusivity window. Whenever FH6 does drop on PS5, you can better your bottom dollar that it'll sell pretty darn well on the Sony platform.
