"Totally optional for players" seems wrong to me. The developers making a game should have a vision for their game and that's what the players should play.

I finished Planet of Lana 2 yesterday. I love the first and thought this would be more of the same and therefore not seem as good. But it was a proper sequel, building on the first in every way. I adored it, and want an announcement that there will be a third game please.

I'm interested in both of these. I don't need loads of new games on Game Pass if the couple each month interest me. I'm happy with these.

I'm a few hours into Planet of Lana 2 and I am so, SO glad it's living up to my high expectations. It's beautiful, fun, and the soundtrack is amazing again. I can't wait until I'm able to stream it. I listened to the music from the first game a lot when that came out.

I don't want any spoilers for this, so won't risk reading reviews. But just looking at those scores makes me very happy.

Mixtape was announced far too long ago for an indie. Or game in general. I really hate games being revealed so far before they're out.

I'm really looking forward to playing it when it's finally out.

I'm really looking forward to this, and will most likely be playing day one. I'm more than happy about this delay if it means that day one game is more polished

I didn't realise this was out in March! It's so soon. I've been looking forward to it for what seems like forever. I really hope it lives up to expectations.

I absolutely loved Planet of Lana. I think I played that about the time I joined Pure Xbox (hence my profile picture). The sequel will be played day 1 on Game Pass for me.

I'm not a fan of horror games as such, but if you're saying it's more like 4 than others I may give it a go.

I've just finished Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. I really enjoyed it. Excellent soundtrack too.

Story - excellent.
Acting - excellent.
Animation - excellent (I loved the stop motion style).
Soundtrack - excellent (I listened to it a lot after having finished the game, and I might give it another listen now).

Definitely one of my favourite games of the year.

Tempted by Alan Wake 2, especially with the upgrade heavily discounted too. I was hoping this might come to Game Pass soon, but I doubt that would be the deluxe version if it did. I'll think on it over the weekend.

Announcing a game 5 years before release is absolutely ridiculous. There are far too many variables and things that can happen to cancel a game in that amount of time.

I thought this game was brilliant. The music, animation and acting really escalated it. I recommend it.

I'm glad more people will hopefully get to enjoy it.

I'm thinking of going back in to explore this a bit, but it's been so long since I played that I just don't think I'll remember the controls, and will totally be off when it comes to timing my parries and dodges

It's nice to see South of Midnight for artistic achievement. I enjoyed it a lot and loved the art style. I'd like it to get some recognition.

I've been intrigued by this game for a while. It looks like it could be brilliant. I don't know much about what it's about, but I have a feeling that'll be the best way to approach it. Really looking forward to trying this out on Game Pass.

If it wasn't for Game Pass I wouldn't have played this. I have never clicked with turn-based combat, and even if reviews all said it was more accessible and a different sort of fighting (which they did) I wouldn't have believed it.

I didn't get close to 100% finishing it, but made it to the end of the main story, and absolutely loved it. It deserves all the accolades it gets.

I'm very pleased E33 and DK did well here. My two favourite games in quite a while.

I thought this looked great and have downloaded it. Played for 3 minutes and remembered my nerves don't like survival horror 😀

If it gets a few positive reviews I may try it properly.

@Medic_alert I agree. Both of these games absolutely deserve art nominations (and more in my opinion, but at least for art).

What's the date cut-off for releases? Just wondering if Keeper was released too late so I can figure out just how annoyed I am... Keeper was one of the most beautiful looking games I've ever played.

I started the campaign but only played for about 20mins. The other players beat me to unlocking the doors and it felt very passive. It also felt very buggy with ammo and other things floating off the ground.

I want to play the campaign solo and pause and stop when I like. Until I can do that I'm not going back to it.

I only play the CoD games (via Game Pass) to get some entertainment from the campaign. The fact it sounds harder single player and I can't pause it is ridiculous.

That removes the huge benefit of the awesome Quick Resume.

I had downloaded this to play, but I may not bother when there are so many games on Game Pass I want to try.

@Scummbuddy I think the shorts are also going on Disney+ so there's no need to play for that.

I'd hoped there would actually be some game with the Simpsons and not just in Springfield. Oh well.

I downloaded Fortnite yesterday to try this. Is it just a battle royale in Springfield? I thought there might be some more Simpsons stuff, but I couldn't see it and as someone who's never played Fortnite before I found all the menus very confusing.

I've just finished chapter 12 I'm Ninja Gaiden 4. Still enjoying it but it's getting repetitive. I will finish the story.

Also playing Mario Galaxy on Switch 2.

And I finished a game called Ghost Town on my Meta Quest 3S. That was genuinely brilliant.

Having played and loved Keeper last week I've moved on to Ninja Gaiden 4. I've done 7 chapters and I'm already finding it getting a bit repetitive. But I am enjoying it for the most part.

Also playing Mario Galaxy on my Switch 2.

I finished this today. It took about 6 hours. I can understand the reviews that comment on the lack of ease of "game". But it's an astonishing work of art, and the Lighthouse and Twig are incredible characters.

I absolutely adored it.

I'm going to spend a little time with Keeper. I've read nothing about it, no reviews or previews. I'm going in blind other than having seen a couple of trailers months ago. And I'm so looking forward to it.

Whilst I didn't 100% complete the game, it wasn't because I got bored with it. An absolute masterpiece.

I think the Elite 3 should wait until the next console. I got an Elite 2 shortly after getting my series X, and as this was my first Xbox I hadn't realised it wasn't designed with the Series consoles in mind.

It's only a little thing but I don't like there not being a share / screen capture button like on the standard controller. The Elite 3 shouldn't release before the next console if it'll be missing any button or feature that has.

Really disappointed. Nothing much appeals to me unfortunately. FH6 will be brilliant, but that wasn't even a proper reveal.

Did Microsoft not really hype this show up?

Keeper is the one that most interests me. I may try Outer Worlds. I've never played the first one but can see myself giving 2 a try.

@Vordus This was the sort of thing that made me quite on the first game. I may try this as it's on Game Pass but I can see me doing the same. I'm just not sure it's my sort of game.

The first game just didn't click for me. I may still give this a try on Game Pass. But I'm just glad that the developers are finally getting this into the hands of fans.

I didn't think the sequel was too bad, but it wasn't great and far from Aardman's usual standards.

If this finds its way to Game Pass and hasn't reviewed terribly I may check it out.

I can see why this isn't a game for everyone. But I thought it was excellent. Yes, it's not all that gamey at times but I really enjoyed my time with it. I am tempted to play it again, and I may do...but there's a lot of other games and things that compete for time.

Am I remembering wrong or was it not confirmed for 2025 at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2? Surely it'll come out on all platforms at the same time.

I downloaded Robocop on Game Pass earlier in the week, and not sure it's my sort of game. Then downloaded Wuchang but haven't started it yet as I'm not really sure why I've downloaded it...souls likes aren't my thing either.

So with my limited time I'll likely just play a bit more Donkey Kong. A couple of issues aside I'm really enjoying it and it's just a whole lot of simple fun.

I may give this a try over the weekend. I downloaded My Friendly Neighborhood but after just half an hour or so I don't think it's for me. I might give it a bit more time, but could just move on to another game.

That seems like quite a good price to me. Mobile Xbox gaming isn't really my sort of thing, but if there's a similar UK price it could be tempting.

I don't think this should have been announced when it was. Announcing a game so many years in advance is ridiculous.
