We've been talking for a very long time here at Pure Xbox about Replaced — a narrative-driven 2.5D platformer that we've been eager to play for years — and now it's finally got a release date of March 12th, 2026!

For those who haven't heard of it before, Replaced will see you attempt to "expose the sinister secrets of Phoenix Corporation as R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body" amidst a "dark cyberpunk thriller" that features striking visuals and a "moody, synth-driven soundtrack". The gameplay appears to be mostly platforming-based, but in a cinematic style that lends itself to "fast-paced action".

"REPLACED is a 2.5D cinematic action platformer wrapped in an intense cyberpunk thriller narrative. Run, climb, and fight through crumbling districts, industrial wastelands, and neon-lit alleys with fluid movement and fast, responsive combat. Chain precise melee strikes with satisfying ranged attacks to take down enemies in high-intensity encounters while keeping the flow of exploration."

It's been a long time now, but we actually interviewed the team behind Replaced back in 2021 about it:

Interestingly, Replaced will only be launching for Xbox and PC on March 12th of 2026, which means it's going to be an Xbox console exclusive at release. It's also a day one Xbox Game Pass title on XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

We'll leave you with more details about the game down below (along with some screenshots), and don't forget we've got a big guide to Xbox Game Pass in 2026 with all the games and a few confirmed release dates already!
