Awards season continues! BAFTA has revealed its official Longlists for the BAFTA Games Awards 2026 today, which includes one Xbox title in the "Best Game" category - that being Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
These Longlists have been compiled by over 1,700 BAFTA members (made up of "experienced games professionals working in the industry") for games that were released between November 16th, 2024 and November 14th, 2025 - hence why Indiana Jones managed to sneak into the "Best Game" list.
The actual nominees for each of these categories haven't been determined yet though, with those set to be unveiled on March 12th of next year. BAFTA members will vote on the "Best Game" and "British Game" categories, while specialist BAFTA juries will vote on all the remaining categories.
And finally, the winners will be announced at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards on April 17th, 2026.

BAFTA today announces the longlists for the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards. 64 games have been selected by more than 1,700 BAFTA members, who are experienced games professionals working in the industry. The BAFTA Games Awards are the industry’s most prestigious Awards, founded in 2004 to celebrate creative excellence in video games and the people who make them, as voted by their peers.
Taking a closer look at the "Best Game" list, Indiana Jones has got some extremely strong competition from the likes of Split Fiction and Hollow Knight: Silksong, while Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is surely the front runner as things stand.
Indy is included in more than one category though, while other Xbox first-party titles are also part of the Longlists such as South of Midnight, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Sea Of Thieves and Age of Empires 2.
