Re: Xbox To Provide Update On Starfield's Frame Rate Ahead Of September Launch

Kezelpaso

@GeeEssEff It's just not realistic to 'give the transcript' - I'd basically be dropping a Phil essay onto the site 😄.
Look, we're just trying to cover as much Xbox-related news as we can, especially when Phil gives us all lots to talk about. Some people want to hear about Starfield, some about Redfall, and some about the general state of Xbox - just trying to cover our bases.

Re: Redfall Final Preview Shows Huge Differences Between Solo And Co-Op Play

@clvr "My time did confirm that when Redfall is out on May 2 I'll want to have multiple instances going; a solo playthrough so I can explore corners and read notes to my heart's content, and at least one instance of a co-op game so I can learn more about all the characters"
The other quote is 2 vs 4 because I wanted to show that there are differences there too. The video discusses all modes of play!

Re: Hardware Review: Thrustmaster Forza Horizon 5 ESWAP XR Pro Xbox Controller - A Unique Option For Racing Fans

Kezelpaso

@JayJ My overall impression of the controller was good to be honest. The face buttons/dpad are those like super clicky ones similar to a Switch joycon (I think for low latency purposes here), and the sticks and vibration were as standard really - just as good as a normal Xbox pad (it does contain rumble triggers too).

The big downside is the wired aspect yeah. If you'd make use of the wheel module, or maybe you prefer a PlayStation button layout (you can just swap the modules around), I'd recommend it. Otherwise, an Xbox Elite or something like the SCUF Impact would be my choice (I use the impact and it's amazing, but expensive as well).

Re: Working With Xbox Was 'Positive Experience', Says Team Behind Hi-Fi RUSH

@Moonglow To me, building things up in that way would show that MS has some sort of vision for future content on Xbox. Buying studios is clearly an option but surely just going out and buying whole studios/publishers isn't always the answer?

It seems to be the only way Xbox can get things off the ground though, at least at the minute.

Re: Atomic Heart Dev Reveals Xbox Series S Performance Targets, And It's Good News

Kezelpaso

@Dezzy70 Around launch I had those sorts of feelings too, but how this gen has unfolded so far has made MS's Series S move look even smarter in retrospect, imo.
Stock shortages, inflation & a lengthy cross-gen period has allowed Series S to slot into the market really nicely. Loads of people wouldn't have been able to move to next-gen without it!
It's turning out to be a great console for many.

Re: Talking Point: What Happened To Xbox's 'Resolution Boost' Program?

Kezelpaso

@Gr81 This is not the same thing. There may well be some wizardry behind upscaling OG Xbox & 360 Games for the newer systems, but this 'Res Boost' feature looked set to work just like 'FPS Boost'.
In that case there would have been a curated list of games that got higher resolutions, but it never happened, as evidenced by their demo game with Gears Ultimate Edition.
