@Coletrain I have my suspicions that they could just be remaking the bungie campaigns while making a halo MP project at the same time... No information on that, just conjecture.
The reception to Infinite's campaign wasn't exactly glowing across the board, and where do you go after that?

@ElPadre666 very good from my first few hours. 60FPS, no major drops. There are no modes on console from what I see, just the default setup.

@SingleStooge we cover these at the end of every month when Xbox Wire posts them. They're more an overview of everything that's been worked on / added over the past month rather than a new patch - often some features have been available for a little bit already.

@themightyant You'd think so, right?! Unless GTA 6 had the majority of its core in place before the use of AI became so proliferated...
Either way, it does feel like his response is very 'we make GTA so we don't have to worry about saving time & money' sort of thing. Plenty of other devs and pubs don't have that luxury.

@dreadful @Stamnoso trust me, it's confusing for us as well. The best place to check which tier each game is coming to is when Xbox drops its Game Pass roundups every fortnight or so.

Iv had no issues connecting to the web and playing games, but store features haven't been working at all for me.

@Feffster Yep, games are loading for me but the dashboard is borked and the store page shows nothing.

@themightyant Yep, and PC Game Pass of course. We're still figuring out the best way to cover XGP updates now after all the changes - it's probably best we start detailing the tiers as well then, right?

@Fiendish-Beaver I highly doubt it'll be like Gears Reloaded. That simply exists because Ultimate Edition existed and it was a cheap and easy way to get PS5 players into the fold...
Halo: Combat Evolved hasn't had a proper remaster job since the Xbox 360 version so it'll need a much bigger update. All the rumours so far seem to suggest it'll be more of a remake, so, I wouldn't expect it to be free for existing owners either.
Will they go full RE Remake? Who knows, but I'm very curious to see it!

@Feffster My apologies, it's working via the Xbox mobile app (which is how I usually install games), but I didn't try searching directly on console!
For some reason searching on console seems bugged with this game, but if you install via the app you can get it downloaded right now (and let's hope it works fine on launch and doesn't ask for some magical Game Pass upgrade 😅)

@themightyant Yeah, that's how SBMM should work in theory. The issue with COD's implementation is it was more a yo-yo where you went from sweat lobbies that were too difficult, to noobs where you'd do well; back and forth.
I'd much rather skill not really be considered and just get a more random experience, it's just more fun that way IMO.

@AccessibleDaydream Our audience is more into the variety of Game Pass and such than stuff like COD. I'm a sucker that still plays it every year but we typically don't get that much engagement 😅

@Gabrie The CPUs are much, much weaker in last-gen consoles.
It does feel like we're not seeing that in practice as you say, but that's maybe because much of the industry is still in this cross-gen, possibly think about Nintendo development environment?
One day it'd be nice to see current-gen properly taken advantage of 😅

@Tdx To be fair, it's a pretty massive month in general. If you choose any month to up your sub price, one with Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2 and Double Fine's next game all launching day one is probably the one to do it.

@themightyant I agree on Gears, but I still think this was probably the right move.
TC's Gears games are solid and we all know how hard it seems to be for Xbox to spin up new IP...

@Kaloudz No it doesn't get day one releases. But, Microsoft has cleared things up and said basically aside from COD, all of their first party games will go on Premium within a year of release.
And personally, I think that's a better option than paying double the price 🤷

@LeonR They haven't fully clarified that. MS has basically said that everything other than COD moves to Premium within a year, and have left the door open for COD.
It could be just after a year, it could be whenever they feel like it. My guess would be the latter.

By the way, this article isn't me justifying Xbox's GPU price hike...
I'm merely saying that with that in mind, Premium is looking like an attractive option, and the tier has been tightened up a good chunk since it was introduced as Standard - loads of games added, clarity on when Xbox exclusives go in the library etc.

Regardless, I agree, GPU is out of my price bracket now. The extras just aren't worth it for what I use the service for - as I've said elsewhere on PX, I think premium looks the best option now.

@SoKarma I notice Grounded 1 is in the 2022 section and it actually came out in 2020 for early access, so maybe Grounded 2 will be added when it goes 1.0?
Probably should be on there anyway, mind.

@Coletrain Yeah, it's disappointing but unfortunately it's not a new thing. It's just that recently there's been a string of high profile games that have suffered from it.
I hope you all enjoyed the review anyway and won't mind if we have to turn to PC or PS5 at times to get the process started 🙏
