@Banjo- I have it on the list mate looking forward to the next resident evil franchise sale I'll pick up most of the older ones then.

I'll definitely pick this up over the summer hopefully a bit cheaper by then I haven't really played much of this series but I own a few of the games so I'm going to play though the best part of the older titles first.
I have re3 remake done I'm about half way through re4 remake after that it's onto re2 remake and I'll pick more up after that.

I'll give cyberpunk a go for sure!

@themightyant Well of course the hardcore people and guys who need to have the most powerful console will be waiting on it bit I think the average gamer with other responsibilities isn't going to be dying to fly out and drop up to a grand on new console.
I'd agree with you about the masses adopting the console of it was playstation if a new Xbox drops it needs to sell because if it didn't a month in people would be saying the console is dead already and nobody wants to spend a grand on a console that is being reported as already dead.
I mean Xbox being dead or anything negative about the brand is the biggest news in gaming even push square everyday needs an Xbox bashing story because that gets the most hits

@themightyant They are going to either have to take a loss if it's a single console with a big price or make a series s type version.
People aren't dying for next gen just yet especially a 1000 pound next gen console.
I'd they release a single console over a grand it will flop hard no doubt

I went from VCR Xbox one to series s up to series X from last gen to this gen I wouldn't mind doing a similar path for next gen if possible!

@Sindayl Yes they did in a massive way looks 4k to me I only recently completed the game before the patch was announced and it's night and day the difference.

It shouldn't be over a grand in my opinion I mean the position playstation are in with a massive install base could get away with it but Xbox are in no position!
I know consoles have always been expensive at launch but a grand is too much they need to take a loss if enough people buy it they would easily make that money back by the virtue of having more people spending money buying games

@Banjo- I haven't used my disc drive on my series X ever so I wouldn't miss not having it to be honest but they still should make it so you can purchase one separately from the console for people who do still buy physical.
Hopefully they change the logo I'm not a big fan but the name is ok definitely better than series s/x or Xbox one haha.
I wonder if we will get another series s type console next gen or if it's just the single version we will get??
I think the pricing will obviously make or break how the console launches I won't be paying over a grand for it no way!
They must have a couple games aswell in the works to launch with the console it will be interesting what first party titles there is day one on the console

@ilyn Yeah I really don't know what they are going to do with gamepass but they do need to do something and change it somehow.
I'm subbed to ultimate ages I still get it cheap because I'm in the EU but if I didn't I wouldn't sub to it to be honest.
Good games are still being dropped onto the service but I'm kinda more into playing my backlog lately and i kinda just miss playing what I just buy instead of being constantly bombarded with drops on ultimate!

@Fiendish-Beaver I'd agree to be honest I think maybe they should get rid of day one first party titles or at least not every one going day one to the service.
Maybe first party games could come 6 months down the line or something.
I mean if that is somewhere they want to improve the sales on the Xbox console.
But then again that could be seen as a slap in the face to some people who stayed on gamepass ultimate if they took them away aswell?
Definitely they should get rid of the need for gamepass to play online next gen if they are going to change anything there's no way spin that negatively haha

@Gemini53 Yeah I've had some bad experiences over there aswell it's a bit more relaxed here you don't come back to 5 notifications of people having a go if you say something not necessarily popular.
And yeah I watched them too I particularly like black adder I remember being very small and seeing the end credits of the Victorian one where he's dancing around the fountain it's one of those proper early memories.
Red dwarf was very good aswell I loved Rimmer and how dry he is haha

@Fiendish-Beaver 7039 reward points was the actual amount I just checked there ha!

Phil did his best for Xbox and improved a lot of things for the console and definitely improved the gaming experience on Xbox.
We are in a better place for him being in the job on Xbox he was handed a mess in fairness!
Xbox Microsoft is not his problem now enjoy your golden handshake!

Im still on ultimate I think it's great the start to the year has been very strong in my opinion!
I do get it cheap though due to some beautiful EU laws I'm only paying 15 quid a month for my ultimate once I stay subscribed and for the time being I'm sure the price will go up at some point in the future.

It's crazy that the gaming community is nearly all in agreement that they would love a Simpsons hit and run remake sequel whatever even the original version on backwards compatibility like this article says and the chances of any of this happening is slim to none!
Surely something could be sorted as it would print money but it's just left to rot!
I find that madness!

I'll eventually play cyberpunk give it a go and see what all the fuss is about after I finish playing through the resident evil games on my backlog!

I'll be playing resident 3&4 remake this weekend never completed resident evil 3 so I'm really enjoying it so far I've played the older version of 4 so I'll go back to that after I've completed 3.
Then it's onto resident evil 2 remake haha 😂
I'll probably have a few games of eafc 25 aswell started a career mode with spurs and ironically it's going very well ha

@Fiendish-Beaver Well for me it's euro so it's a bit less than that about 8000 every thousand is about a euro for now anyways haha.
Maybe it's to do with the region you are in I've always gotten reward points back for purchases for the last while but that 8000 was the most I got back by far I was surprised myself haha

I literally just do the console rewards and and my reward points always seem to go up quickly I couldn't be bothered with all that bing stuff for reward points

We know it's going to be Powerful and different store fronts it could easily become very popular but it all comes down to the pricing if it's low enough Xbox could be back ina serious way

@Fiendish-Beaver They could add on those incentives for next gen aswell and the added benefit of achievements for the hunters and the just ease of use.
The Xbox store wouldn't die in it's current form I got 8 quid of reward points for buying high on life 2 thats decent to me anyways.

@Gemini53 They are good games but you are right you get what you get with a Forza horizon game all that changes is slightly better visuals sometimes and a different location obviously the odd few newer cars.
I don't need to see anything about this game because I've technically already played it before if you get me.
Similar to yearly sports franchises theres no huge changes

It would be like opening a 5 star hotel ina third world country for the locals only it won't sell no shadow of a doubt unless this is a console sent out to kill Xbox as a brand it won't be near £1500 if that's the case my lord!

@Fiendish-Beaver They will fail spectacularly if it's it's going to be over 1000 quid that's just a rock solid fact that handheld is a Asus handheld with an Xbox sticker so I don't think Microsoft are in charge of the pricing!
Not to be vulgar but I'd rather poop in my hands and clap than go near a Xbox or any console that is at a disgusting price point like that and it can't be successful at that price now way in hell!

If Sony made the next playstation at 1500 it would fail or even a grand!
Nobody would upgrade the average gamer won't pay that no way!
I know some diehards would stump up the cash but people are not idiots to pay that money if next gen is going to be priced anywhere where you say I don't see console gaming lasting much longer if that's the case!

@Gabrie There loads of reasons why people would still buy off the Xbox store and get the bespoke console version with benefits like reward points for purchase like happens now achievements the ease and use of your Xbox profile.
I wouldn't just buy everything off steam to save a few quid!!
Especially after spending however much the console is why bother if you're buying an Xbox console you way that Xbox experience

@UnlimitedSevens Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head there my friend the Xbox side of the console could become basically gamepass and anything third party would be on the pc side.
Hopefully we are both wrong and it's not too expensive and does decently enough to get proper 3rd party support if not life moves on but I'd love them to hit this one out the park

@UnlimitedSevens Yeah its literally not value for money from Microsoft and they can't even back it up with a guaranteed user base the console or whatever it will be could be dead two years after paying loads due to no userbase at least playstation I basically guaranteed a big user base!
Also if the ps5 pro pssr upscaler is half as good as digital foundry make out lately thats another choice!
I'm diehard Xbox but I will have to move if they plan on trying to exploit my loyalty to the brand.
I just hope they see that road would just lose customers a price point that big would definitely make the next Xbox less popular that this gen versions

@UnlimitedSevens Hopefully they aren't as disconnected to think that would work I could buy it day one i wouldn't at that point or anywhere near it I'd sooner buy a ps5 and just stay in this gen.
With the crap going on in the middle east to cost of living will go up it unrealistic for anything around that price.
I could afford it but I have a partner two young kids rent bills I'd never want to be that selfish to spend that amount of money on something solely for me never.
If that's the case its the ps5 for me or ps6 if it's not to expensive and I'm Xbox only.
A price like that would be a slap in the face for a loyal customer like myself and insulting tbh
