Update #4 []:

The latest batch is part of a "second wave" that will ship in February:

Update #3 []: We've noticed more stock appearing on the Xbox shop (it's showing as available at the time of writing). Postage is also available outside the US despite what was suggested earlier today, although the price of this can be extortionate in some cases - £94.91 here in England plus taxes and duties.

As mentioned, it's worth checking the website regularly if stock dries up again.

Update #2 []:

The store page quietly went live this afternoon (evening here in the UK), and almost immediately went out of stock. It seems email notifications weren't sent out to those who registered their interest either.

Keep an eye on the Xbox Game Studios Shop website in case more supplies are made available.

Update #1 []:

Details have emerged for the Prototype Lancer Replica, and it will cost you $299.99. We're also gutted to report that the Gears of War: E-Day collector's item will only be available in North America. Damn!

We've yet to see a store page, but pre-orders are supposed to be live right now, so we'll leave you with some extra details and pictures of the iconic chainsaw lancer.

"This prototype version of the Lancer features a bayonet, before the familiar chainsaw was added. Engineers created precision molds directly from in-game assets to ensure every bolt, vent, and weld was accurate, with custom, hand-painted “E-Day” weathering effects. This full-scale reproduction of the iconic weapon weighs six pounds, measuring at 36” long by 14” tall and 8” wide, and comes with a custom display stand."

  • 1:1 Prototype Lancer Replica from Gears of War: E-Day
  • Only available in North America
  • Costs $299.99

Original Story: Gears of War: E-Day is coming exclusively to Xbox this October, and it's already an absolute blast to play, especially the new Horde Siege mode. That said, if you're into prized possessions and collectibles, there's a 1:1 replica of E-Day's 'Prototype Lancer' on the way, and it looks sick!

Details are few and far between at the moment, with pre-orders set to go live at some point today. If you'd like to know when they do, head to the Xbox Game Studios Shop and sign up for the notification. Of course, we'll update this article with pricing and where you can nab one for your collection.

Previous Lancer replicas, such as Gears 5's Crimson Omen lancer, which tempted me something proper back in the day, cost around $150. So, we're expecting E-Day's take on the iconic rifle to sit somewhere in that price range, but who knows these days.

Gears of War: E-Day's chainsaw lancer prototype is a makeshift upgrade the COG came up with at the beginning of the Locust War. Bayonets simply weren't cutting the cheese anymore, so this is what you get when you combine a store-bought chainsaw with standard issue COG weaponry.

To wrap things up, we thought we'd mention that there's currently an Instagram sweepstakes to win a Gears of War: E-Day Gibson electric guitar. Yeah, the marketing for E-Day is mental! If you'd like to enter for your chance to win, head over to the announcement post and follow the entry rules.
