@EVIL-C Good it should be a standard giving older generation games a boost in resolution and FPS if there was how weird would be ina world with 4k 60fps on GTA 4 red dead redemption 2 and Bloodborne not to mention countless others but when there money to be made who needs progress?

I think saints row 3 is the best especially this version as the visual upgrade it amazing compared to the 360 version Saint row 2 is very good but to play it nowadays is a bit shocking as everything about it from the visuals to controls feel very dated by today's standards.

I love how the game is basically a remaster for the original Xbox game due to the resolution boost and widescreen I don't know if playstation or Nintendo do this aswell but it's great the older games get boosted on current gen consoles

@GamingGod I just try go for 100% in games I really like and enjoy I have a high enough gamerscore but I'm not an achievement hunter.
I have a couple of friends who are hardcore achievement hunters I wouldn't be able for that haha

@GamingGod I've been on resident evil 4 remake enjoying it so far picked it up on sale and some high on life 2 aswell finishing off the last few achievements I love that series.
I have a series x and series s so I'm not taking the there opinion personally as it doesn't effect me really it's more smug condescending comments like the original poster on this feed made I don't like.

@GamingGod My point is they seem to be putting down one version of the game to make it seem like another one is better IE the switch 2 version when the issues that version has is game breaking in there words for other games.
Why can't all versions just be good like they are in reality instead of making out like the series s version is by far the worst version because the reasons they give for the switch 2 being better is literally just how the upscaler works the framerate isn't locked and the native resolution is 540p??
Screams biased or ungenuine reporting or maybe being paid to say that because they normally lose there 💩 when the frame rate is that bad .
The same way they are making out the base ps5 is so bad compared to the ps5 pro version these are meant to be the big tech guys and they are creaming there pants over upscalers haha

@GamingGod Fair enough sorry to accuse you of something if that genuinely wasn't your intention.
I just don't take what digital foundry as gospel especially when like I said the game is 540p upscaled 45 to 55 fps on switch 2 but 720p upscaled 60fps solid but the switch 2 is vastly better because when we zoom in by ten this one leaf has slightly better shadow detail!
The game runs great on everything unless you're going from the switch 2 or series s to ps pro there isn't a great difference they are sensationalistic about the actual differences that are minor unless you zoom in by ten and get a pixel counter.
They split hairs and make it out to be a huge difference.
If 60fps is so important to them like with other games why is 45fps to 55 fps acceptable for this game but game breaking for others?

I'm going to finish the couple of resident evil games I have I never finished before picking this up!

@Scrubchub Yeah I got the gold edition of re 4 so it has the dlc included I never played that dlc before looks good.
Yeah I need to get them played I own 2&3 ages and with all the hype around the new game coming out it has me wanting to play the series

This weekend I'm going to start resident evil 4 remake that I picked up during the week and I'll try clean up the last couple achievements I need in high on life 2 aswell.

@FraserG They look very good at a great price I'm going to check out what bundles versions they have doom would be a must have for the device when it drops on cartridge.
Something like this would be used by everyone me the misses and kids would get use out of it.

Looks like a nice device but apart from the banjo kazooie game the others look a bit lackluster but the ability to buy physical games is very nice.
The price is very good aswell has anyone played on one of these things Im very tempted pick one up.

@Nakatomi_Uk Even in the 360/PS3 era you could get some complete games if you will with unlocks from gameplay I remember putting in great effort to unlock Prescott in gears 3 multiplayer.

@Gemini53 Yes exactly I mean they will probably let the ones out now and planned for pc if there is any come out and end it there.
Maybe Sony is wanting to go down the Nintendo route with single player games at least considering there massive install base of players.

@Fiendish-Beaver I seen the joy over on push to this news but it's not very shocking if Microsoft are trying to make a loophole to get playstation exclusive games on Xbox Sony would most likely close that loophole.
Since Microsoft bought up half the studios around they are making a lot more in house games if you will that Sony are.
The best games I enjoy nowadays aren't really exclusive anymore either.

What I took from watching the video is the game runs very well on all systems and that the guys over in digital foundry love to split hairs!
There must be a worst version and they have to tell us which one is the worst no matter how trivial the differences are in practice and they need zoom X10 and pixel counters to see it themselves ha.

It used to be good when it was standard that you unlock most if not all customisation items in games through actual gameplay!

@Banjo- Unconscious bias or probably conscious to be honest those dudes are ultimate pixel counters and extremely fussy about things the series s is probably a dirty word in there offices.
They do a good job in fairness but make slight problems or imperfections out to be a lot more than they actually are in practice.

Im not into Lego games at all but Lego batman looks unreasonably good to be honest!

@OldGamer999 It's great to see a game perform well over all the consoles even while they show the difference between switch 2 and ps5 versions in the digital foundry it looks like only resolution and the character models are slightly cut back on.
No matter what you play this game on it will look amazing!

I'm optimistic I'm a Xbox only gamer so I kinda have to be haha
Hopefully Microsoft/Xbox have hurt pride after being spanked by Sony in console sales the last two generations and start making good moves gaming needs more than just two consoles if Xbox dies thats whats left!

@PsBoxSwitchOwner Being a ubisoft game probably has something to do with that.

I accessed outlaws death stranding and space marines 2 but still have to complete the games only about 2 hours into death stranding and an hour into space marines I don't think I'll go back to star wars outlaws though tbh.

The RE engine performs very well on Xbox all the games always look very nice!

@TheGameThrifter First party or third party exclusives are exclusives the console was failing due to the Xbox one launch that bled through to the series s/x consoles and after the Activision blizzard buyout they needed to make money back more than ever!

@TheGameThrifter There was more than four exclusive games in that time even timed ones like high on life and starfield and other titles exclusive to the platform like now.
Things were already very bleak for Xbox console sales wise before going multiplatform that is a well known fact otherwise they wouldn't of went multiplatform.

@Gemini53 Just bought it myself ha I'm going to complete high on life 2 first and I'll want something a bit different after that so I'll start Re 4 I played the hd remaster on 360 way back when and enjoyed it so I should enjoy it again!

@TheGameThrifter Some games only recently went multiplatform from Xbox recently most of this gen Xbox has had exclusive games and the consoles still didn't sell well so you're point doesn't really apply they went multiplatform because Xbox wasn't selling enough consoles.

Sounds very good I'll pick this up at some point down the line wanna play re4 remake first.

@Fiendish-Beaver Hopefully the heads at Microsoft/Xbox have a good plan cooked up to keep it going I wouldn't be heartbroken either if we lost gamepass to honest my backlog would be very grateful haha

@Fiendish-Beaver Personally I think I would be better if it was just like pc with everything available pick your preferred platform and buy any game off that platform.
I have my Xbox profile many years I don't want to start a new one on playstation I'd prefer to stay on Xbox within it's ecosystem so for me exclusives don't work and I don't want to buy multiple consoles I could possibly get a switch 2 eventually but not a playstation nothing against the brand I just don't like the controller and I'm invested in Xbox.
Probably a selfish opinion but I don't care for exclusives they don't benefit the consumer so I have not reason to enjoy or want any game to be exclusive.

Having exclusives on Xbox doesn't make me feel better as a consumer I don't care if playstation gets the games to be honest I don't get enjoyment knowing the guy on the other plastic box can't play this or that game and there isn't enough install base on Xbox consoles at the moment to make enough profit for exclusives to work especially with gamepass on Xbox.

Teyon is still going strong though and they actually made the RoboCop and terminator games so hopefully whatever is planned for there next game is still on.

@themightyant While I agree with what you are saying if all that was the case Microsoft would be best off just not making another console if they are that invested to "going back to there roots" with console they have to do something and if every gamer is that invested in a chosen platform then Sony could basically phone in the next gen console and call it a day another 90 million plus consoles sold again no effort.
Anyway to be honest it's all speculation at this stage but if Microsoft needs to try do something if they really want Xbox to succeed they can't just plod along without some sort of fight back especially launching a new generation of consoles

@ilyn It depends how much Microsoft/Xbox really wants to support there console weather they can sell them cheap enough or even at a loss to start with they have to do something.
Sony don't need to rush next gen in my opinion ps5 still sells amazingly well and if there brand and there console experience is really that strong they wouldn't stand to lose much at all if Microsoft dropped there next gen console first the ps5 would probably still beat it in sales month on month.

@themightyant That was more about difficulty developing for PS3 because of how it worked why that happened rather than because the console released after the 360.
I don't think that had a major impact it was more Sony making a mistake with how they made the console.
