With the release of Marathon only a few days ago, many people, myself included, have been hooked on this game's immersive, at times slightly confusing world.
A significant moment of confusion came from the game's many quests, and one in particular was that of the introduction to Traxus, the “unequivocal leader in industry”, where you are tasked with the mission of taking down a UESC commander (come prepared!) and scanning the cargo after obtaining a shipping manifest from its downed robotic remains.
The quest uses quite ambiguous terminology, and this mission can seem somewhat daunting, but don't worry – this guide will be as streamlined as possible.
To start, this quest takes place on Dire Marsh and can be completed at 3 separate places: Complex, Intersection, and Bio-research.
I will go through each location and provide an image on the map of where the terminal to activate the commander spawn will be located. Keep in mind that the fight I initiate with the commander will take place at the Intersection, but the process will be similar for each location.
Complex Terminal Location
The terminal in Complex will be located on the southeastern side of the map on a raised walkway, as shown on this image.

Intersection Terminal Location
At Intersection, the terminal will be on the upper floor of the main building, as shown here:

Bio-Research Terminal Location
In Bio-research, the terminal is in the building on the ground floor near a door, as shown here:
And once again, the terminal will be here and look like this:
After you have activated your chosen terminal, be prepared for a pretty beefy enemy: the commander. The commander has purple shields and takes a lot of hits before it is downed, so prepare accordingly with plenty of ammo and heals if needed.
After the UESC commander has been felled, proceed to pick up its shipping manifest dropped upon death, and move over to the nearby container for the last part of the mission, scanning.
Once you are near the container, begin scanning it as prompted until the animation finishes, and once it does, you have successfully completed the Traxus introduction quest!
You can then safely make your way toward the exfil. No need to worry if your connection to your shell is severed, as this mission does not require you to exfil to complete it.
