Here's Everything That Was Revealed At The 'Extended' Xbox Games Showcase 2023

I played the Sea of Stars demo on the Switch - it was really fantastic.

Is anyone concerned we haven’t actually seen Hellblade 2 “in action”? I feel like the game isn’t very close, maybe holiday 2024.

@themightyant watched bits but was a bit tired from work. What I am watching now is the Forza Deep Dive showing career mode. Looks amazing!!!

@FatalBubbles i would say a full gameplay of hellblade 2 will steal the show they don't want anything to get in the way of forza and starfield right now maybe in GOTY awards we get a gamplay

@FatalBubbles Yes. That first Hellblade 2 teaser from 2019 was used to promote the forthcoming Series X, but all these years later and no gameplay was shown in the latest video.

Anyhoo, I thought the extended showcase was a little slow and boring, but Xbox really did a good job with their presentations. I can't believe how doom and gloom everything felt after Redfall and Phil Spencer's interview, but somehow they managed to come back. Things are starting to look up again. I hope they're able to take advantage of the goodwill they've earned.

I watched it and found it very boring, just DLC and closer looks at games already announced, nothing new that was note worthy, for me at least.

@S1ayeR74 An Extended Showcase is the 'slow' bits, the smaller games etc that 'used' to drag Showcases down.

In the past, you'd have Game after game after game, then suddenly a 10min discussion about a game, then more big games, then a 20min slot on 'indies' and people didn't like the pacing - up and down.

Now, MS take those 'slow' bits, the smaller games etc and keep them for the 'extended' Show. Its still part of the same 'Showcase' in essence but instead of combining 'both' into a LONG 1.5-2hrs show (like they used to do), its now split into their Main Show and then an Extended Show for those that want the slow chatty bits and indies...

Therefore, it delivered exactly what should be 'expected'. They don't keep 'major' reveals for their extended when their Main showcase is the place for those, the one the world watches...

@FatalBubbles even though I liked the first hellblade...I'm not all that interested in 2. To me it was cool as a novelty interesting game. But if 2 us basically just more of the same, I'll pass.

@Hornedfrog Why don't you go sell your Series X to GameStop for $85 and put it towards that PlayStation 5? Nobody is stopping you, except you.
