I’m not surprised by people who didn’t enjoy what they’ve played. The reveal trailer looked awful. Loud. Busy. Trying to do a lot. Off putting character design. I was baffled when I did see positive reactions.

Seeing this article reminded me of something. Is the Xbox brand iconic? There are things people associate with Sony and Nintendo, that makes their brands iconic. I don’t see it with Xbox. Outside of the logo, I mainly see a PC in console form. There’s nothing about the games that stands out. No disrespect to the system and those who enjoy it. Maybe it feels this way because of the Xbox One’s performance. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’m not trying to start something. This is an honest question. How are the new Xbox sales, compared to PS5? I’m seeing so much good press about the Xbox, but I’m not seeing anything about sales. I know it’s not selling in Japan.

People seem to turn to discord when they can’t have certain discussions on other platforms. I wonder if this purchase will effect that freedom.

Never heard of this game. Going by the headline, I thought Microsoft was getting a special edition Xbox! 😂 I was thinking, “a new special edition already?!” “Their still hard to find!”

Does anybody know how developers and publishers make money off this service? I’ve seen articles about developers being happy about the financial benefits. If the games are not apart of franchises (merch, movies, etc...), how does one person paying a monthly subscription fee, equal to financial success, over paying fifty plus dollars for a game?

Can’t get away from this app! According to everything I look at with a news section, users are always “freaking out” over a discovery somebody made. Or somebody gets famous for crawling on floors like an animal. HUH?! There’s something about this app and Clubhouse. 🤨

@VenomousAlbino I seems that we are now in an era where quality of life improvements get people excited for new consoles. I understand it takes time, but I’m used to seeing at least two must have games.

Currently playing it for the first time on Switch!

I’ve always wondered what it was like to be an Xbox fan in Japan. What kind of gamer would be attracted to the Xbox, from a country that’s not big on the brand. Do they have a huge, deep love of the Japanese culture? I only wonder because Microsoft’s offerings obviously aren’t the gamers of Japan’s taste, for the most part. Seeing how they seek so few units there.

These companies got everybody excited with all of that teraflop talk. Now, REALITY! Seems like things like this happen every generation.

@Gamer83 I remember Halo 2 making headlines for the amount of money it made from launch day sales. I think it made more than whatever big Hollywood blockbuster came out around the same time.

@BAMozzy While watching the trailer I was thinking, it’s like BotW meshed with Ori and the Blind Forest. It seems like there are a lot of BotW inspired games coming out soon. It’s a nice looking game, but only the developer name caught my attention when it comes to this title. It’s a bit disappointing seeing Rare make what looks to be a BotW type game. Then again, they took the 3D platform genre and we saw how that turned out. I know this is a different era (Rare talents) but you never know. And, I don’t think Microsoft will repeat the mistakes of this era. I think their catalog will be much stronger on Series X.

Physical copies...Halo 5/Gear of War (remake), Rare Replay and that Halo collection. They came in a bundle when I purchased the system. Does that count? I would have purchased those games anyway. That’s why I went ahead and bought an Xbox One. It was the perfect bundle for me. A person who’s not the biggest Xbox fan. Those were the main games that I wanted. It also came with a download code for Ori and the Blind Forest. What an awesome bundle!!!!! Everything else I played was on Game Pass.

I’ve never played any of these games, but I still remember my first time seeing the original game. As somebody who was never a hardcore PC gamer, out side of sim games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, for the first time I envied PC gamers. It was such a beautiful game. This article made me look the game up. Still looks amazing!

What about Grounded? Won’t people look at both as the same game, just that one features bugs? And what’s up with the stiff movements of the human characters in both games. It looks like I’m watching footage of a game from a couple of generations ago.
