EA has just fully unveiled this year's Madden NFL game, with Madden 24 launching on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S this August. You can see the title in action through the above reveal trailer, however, one of the game's biggest features is tucked under the hood.

On current-gen platforms, this year's Madden features proper cross-play support. So, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5 players will all be able to play together online - a series first!

"PLAY WITH FRIENDS - Connect with players across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, then show them what electrifying talent looks like in competitive modes like Online H2H, and more."

While this feature isn't supported on last-gen platforms such as Xbox One, it's still a very welcome addition for current-gen players who can now team up or battle against their buddies across Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Elsewhere, Madden 24 is refining a bunch of the series' core gameplay features, which you can read all about via EA's brand-new blog post ahead of the game's August 18th launch.

"Experience the newest iteration of FieldSENSE in Madden NFL 24. More realistic character movement and smarter AI gives you control to play out your gameplay strategy with the confidence to dominate any opponent."
