I’m not a fan of the hot wheels theme and I’d rather just a big expansion map and more of the same stuff in the main game. The snow part in 3 was the best expansion so far.

However this does look meaty. It won’t connect with me the same but I will have some fun with it.

@BeautyandtheBeer that’s not cool didn’t realise that. Makes purchasing the disk pointless. I own all the Forza games on disk for future playing reasons. Although tbh at this point most are patched so heavily a load of content will be missing or worse when servers are turned off the game won’t work anyway.

I think Horizon 4&5 fall into this category? It’s a real shame. Such good games that even solo player are brilliant and shouldn’t be lost forever especially as Forza games get delisted fairly quickly.

@NEStalgia true that mate. I’m always shocked how others respond to stories like this though. I’ve given up trying to working out other people logic I just sometimes forget how crazily people can interpret things.

I absolutely support him coming forward like this and he will have no trouble finding work. Being honest, admitting mistakes and pointing out why things could work better are all commendable. Add to that he clearly tried to discuss it with Sega and got nowhere.

Hats off to him. This is the sort of guy you want to work with and have work for you.

Sega are a company that have issues like this over and over. They ignore common logic and do what they like.

EDIT - I see we have some very old fashioned members here. “Accept whatever the overlords say no matter how bad their behaviour towards you or the customers are” those days should be behind us.

It’s not like these games and this collection have already made plenty of money.

So many more titles we can dream of but BC was the reason I got on back on board with Xbox.

I’m glad we got SSX3. Still play that on and off frequently. All the Star Wars games. Fight night champion. So many good driving games though BC. I still dream of Rallisport 1&2 and PGR - the punisher.

But we did get a load of rockstar classics and especially Max Payne 3. Masterpiece.

I have both the 20th anniversary one and Forza so I’m set. Both are lovely.

Paramount plus is “free” for all sky cinema people and halo is on channel 5 every Wednesday.

No micro transactions, No DLC, was a complete game on day one, it allows you to play it and enjoy it and does disrespect your time. It’s fun and addictive and has that one more go feeling.

@mousieone you buy gold cheap. Stack for three years and pay 99p to upgrade to GPU and it’s works out at £3.40 a month. Anyone paying full price is bonkers. No VPN, no region swapping and not a loop hole - a legit and Microsoft approved way to get GPU cheap. Sony will charge you full price and no mistakes.

I own both and managed to stack now cheap and got upgraded for three years. No way would I pay for either at a tenner a month or whatever it is.

I’m glad turtles is free this week. Nowt much on that list to get excited about. The XBOX PR team is amazing and worth every penny as they’ve hyped so many into being excited from what was a sparse offering and a lot of sorry nothing this year.

Honestly I’d much prefer a real world expansion. Bit disappointing for me. Great for those that love it.

I have the Forza controller and love this one too. I don’t need it and will leave it for others don’t need another controller but design is nice.

Cool story. As we’ve read here many times the Descenders dev did a very very good deal and they are certainly most vocal of how good it is. Like others have said. Right now MS is happy to throw money it at. When they decide to balance the books, close the 99p upgrade and make some money from GPU I think the whole argument changes…. But it’s good and healthy right now. Long term I’m not sold it will be good. I see so many online saying they don’t buy games as they might be on GPU next month. I don’t see how that’s good long term.

At least it’s a proper release at Amazon. Although I’d rather not give LRG anymore money however it’s distributed.

Hmmmmm. I’d have liked a New York setting or a vegas setting and larger open world than 1. Combining the best parts of the first three but with more of a 1 setting but larger scale. Steal elements from the Godfather game.

There was nothing wrong with 3 very good game just not classic Mafia setting for me.

Or EA could just give us a remake/remix of Godfather game with some new elements.

Or that Scarface 2 game that got cancelled

@Bleachedsmiles I agree with 90% of that. I do think being part of a community and defending everything all of the time and feeling personally attacked if anyone says anything negative is ridiculous. Sports fans are usually the opposite. The most vocal in criticism of their own team and by nature a sport is all about being competitive. The games take place.

Being a consumer of music, film or game is different. You don’t have fans of Warner Bros music arguing that Sony music havent put any good CDs out in ages… or fans of Paramount movies saying Movie from 20th century fox suck.

It’s a media created war that started 30 plus years ago that the console companies loved because it sold units. People have just been brainwashed into thinking it’s a good thing to act as gatekeepers for their chosen brand.

For me I treat games like I treat other media. I’ll buy and play what I like and ignore what I don’t.

It’s why we have moved to a sub service on Xbox side I’m far more critical of Xbox than the other two. They don’t release they don’t get my money. Xbox have and are taking my money for a service and I expect a constant stream of games I like to justify it and right now and for the last two years plus on average they haven’t delivered. The back end of last year excluded.

It’s fine for others that love GPU and the older games and smaller games that get added and I have dipped in and out of those. But I already had a large collection of Xb1 and 360 games.

I’m not livid or angry. Just think that with all these studios and investment if it was managed correctly we should be seeing far more regular games and updates. Tbh the target of 1 and quarter IMHO is too little. I’d wager at least 1 of those won’t be for me. So that’s max 3 games a year - for £120 - about the price you’d pay for boxed versions. Yes their is value added from other games but for me a console and its services live and die on exclusives- 3rd party stuff I can get on a single console that gives me the best exclusives if need be. - I kid myself here as I will always buy both consoles - I’m luckily enough to be able to afford that.

Why do some people dismiss anything but positive stories. Grow up. The Xbox has some issues. Is doesn’t damage you or your experience and some people like to know things like this. It also leads to fixes. Burying your head in the sand doesn’t make issues for away. Xbox is brilliant at responding and fixing things so as a community we must still raise these things and make gaming experiences better

When will people learn owning a game console is not the same as supporting a sports team. Some people are too easily triggered and want to constantly make everything a console war. It’s old and dull.

As a GPU subscriber I am obviously an Xbox fan and I’m invested in them. I’m disappointed how the studios are run. Xbox now own a lot of studios and nothing is slated this year. Last year was hearlded as a bumper year…. I didn’t see it that way. Halo was an 8 hour campaign and no Co-op. Flight sim isn’t for me. Pyschonaughts isn’t a AAA+ game but was very good and Forza H was a monster and brilliant. It was a decent year… just hoped this year would build on it.

Some at Xbox isn’t doing a good job of managing output. Maybe this showcase we will get 2/3 games this year - we can’t praise the quality and standard of GPU and the exclusives and then say - 2022 has no releases.

I’d hammer nintendo and Sony just the same but if Ninty or Sony delay games they don’t get my money until they release.

Netflix couldn’t go a year with none of their own content and just content from other studios that have been mostly released for a while.

These are facts of a sub model. I get some of you love Xbox but even the most ardent Xbox only must see Xbox exclusives need to be dropping regularly on GPU.

Why does every news article have to descend into “yeah but Sony delayed this or Sony delayed that”…. It’s irrelevant and Sony charge per game so if they delay you delay paying. The Xbox model is now subscription based so when they delay their games we continue to pay and don’t get the games. As others have said the GPU main draw is the first party exclusives and this year it’s worse than sparse.

@StonyKL and they still can’t get world domination and win the big European cup. Haha. It’s a great example.

@awp69 it shouldn’t have been F2P that’s why it’s a mess and the GPU claims all first party exclusives launch on GPU. You are defending it by saying Xbox made a decision basically. They weren’t forced to make it F2P - also the campaign is 8 hours long. That’s what Sony mean. When you have pressures due to being on a sub service delays are a nightmare (Halo team would agree) and big long campaigns are harder to accomplish. Halo was great but it was a very much a subscription service game - that’s not a criticism that’s fact. No co-op campaign (still delayed) multiplayer stripped out and put stand alone to boost income in F2P model. Literally using Halo only confirms what Sony say. Halo is still brilliant but it’s clear it’s a very different game than if you were chasing full RRP.

I thought a Star Wars game was rumoured and not announced? So probably that is one.

Sports - maybe the rumoured Boxing, UFC? I doubt rugby, cricket or tennis? Timing suggests World Cup game but with other announcements that’s doubtful?

Remake - another Need for Speed? Underground? (2)

Maybe a SSX?

Other than that I can’t think what it could be… anything lol. They’ve done well to keep 4 games hidden

You can tell a ardent fan boy that states things are a “non issue” as default defence mechanism……..it’s definitely an issue and it’s nice to know that -

A - people have flagged it up so it can be looked at.

B - it’s only a temporary issue effecting a few games.

Imho this is exactly the news we need here. An Xbox story relating to users of an Xbox.

TBH they see the financials and need to make decisions best for their survival. Shame for people that only have Xbox and loved the game but it sounds like their core player base was elsewhere

Hard to see how they recover at this point. Hardcore halo fans will stick about but the FTP model was clearly meant to attract casuals on a massive scale. It’s been a flop and a disaster at this point.

It’s kind of a metaphor for the whole launch of Halo up to this point. The weapon keeps jamming. I hope they see the massive mistakes they’ve made with this greedy FTP model and never make them again. Halo should be their flagship for GPU and to lock it all up in Battle passes undermines the selling point of GPU.

When is a exclusive Xbox game not free day one on GPU when it’s “free to play” - but free to play means battle passes…. So not all Xbox exclusives are free day one in GPU. Just saying.
