Played it very recently on Xbox. Brilliant. Aged very well. None of the nonsense that is forced upon new FPS. It’s the way FPS should be. Proper campaign. Great story and characters and so really good team mechanics.

@pip_muzz this. 100 times this and the worlds aren’t invaded by people or ghosts in the first two. I approve of that too.

One is a great game I’m gutted I missed the DLC. Two and Three are also VERY good games. Four and Five don’t quite capture the magic of the first three. Still very good games mind you.

@jumpin_jeeps they said from start Bethesda would keep its independence. I didn’t really believe that to be the case and still don’t. However from a PR point of view they are definitely keeping them separate - I believe this is so they can release some from Bethesda on multiple platforms.

Team Xbox are the hype kings so I don’t expect anything less. I hope we get some news on games coming very soon rather than Look at this game that is coming in 2024/25….

I fear it will be mostly the later.

YouTube is a minefield. It’s the Wild West and Sheriff YouTube does what it wants when it wants.

Those that have sought to make a living this way know what it’s like. It’s random. One person does a video it stays up and monetised. Another does similar it’s taken down……Another monetisation is removed.

I’m sure CBS aren’t bothered either way. This is triggered by one person employed to do this. Their isn’t a big meeting in CBS towers discussing this video or a personal vendetta - as usual egos are getting in the way here.

The real issue is with YouTube and how it regulates this stuff.

The DLC is not from the “Skywalker saga” but from the expanded universe. So it’s not as bad as it may seem. All characters from the Saga are included as standard and there is 100s of them.

Too little too late. They got greedy and thought they could be lazy and get a massive chunk of FTP money. It backfired.

Same as above I’d say I’ve bought at least 100 titles I’ve bought and never played just on the Xbox one or XSX add in other consoles and you can make it closes to 500.

You are being pedantic to say this isn’t linked to the movies with its extremely close ties. It’s more of a stretch to say GPU is good for games like this than it is to say this is nothing to do with the MCU.

Avengers suffered the same “bUt He DoESnT lOoK lIKe tHaT fAmOuS acTor!” Out cry. Sad.

Avengers as a solo player game was pretty decent and far better than the commentary from people that never played it.

I don’t need or like GaaS and so happily ignored all that grind and nonsense. The free story expansions were most welcome too.

Gamepass doesn’t make games compete for your valuable time it makes you ignore good games you would have bought.

This is a prime example. People didn’t buy it and now are enjoying it A LOT.

All games ever you pay £50 to try it. That’s gaming.

Your whole argument flies in the face of the official line that GPU is good for gaming. You are having your cake and eating it.

I have GPU and think it’s a good service but the PR spin and hype around it is massively overblown (correctly) by a very good MS marketing department… they have learnt from the 360 PR disasters.

The games audience here suffered because of its own PR - which included not distancing itself clearly enough from the PR disaster which was Avengers.

Me myself - will continue to form my own opinions - buy game I want to play and not be outraged that Hollywood superstars aren’t in a game or it’s not “official cannon” (boo hoo) I’ll enjoy it as you know….

@NeoRatt for normal games and releases I’m with you. When I’m paying a monthly fee - there needs to be a constant stream of good quality games.

Halo tbh falls outside of this anyway as it’s a FTP. But again people won’t wait they’ll move on.

Play SSX 3 more than anything else. It’s constantly in my rotation and in last year I’ve completed more BC games than modern games

Both gold and plus have wild deviations from great months to not so great months but also different people like different games.

I paid £3.40 a month for 3 years. I know people that paid as little as £2…. The Gold upgrade is a legit way to get GPU. I’d wager barely anyone is paying 10.99….. with third party sellers selling gold off cheap on the regular I would wager even MS themselves don’t know what the average people are paying for gold. I paid MS £1 direct for three years.

Surely people here aren’t paying 10.99 a month. When Xbox are offering a far better deal themselves?

As a big football fan…. And specifically of a club that has more official partners than good players…. I have NEVER been swayed into buying a product because they are an official partner. I have however been put off a product because the TV was full of adverts of rival players telling me they are the official partner of that club.

So from a small sample of one… partner deals do more damage than good

I was hoping we’d get a rally game that mixes WRC into a more Dirt style game with other races types as well. A sort of “Rally Motorsports” kind of thing…. With loads of different dirt racing.

Gamepass only on Xbox SX that and BC titles most that I already owned and not adding new ones really.

PS5 I buy the games I want but mostly snag bargains. Even for new games bargains are possible.

Switch I have a meaty physical collection but do buy games digital in the sale.

GPU basically forces you to wait for games. Even digital sales - you always think…. Hmmm… this will be on GPU next month.

GPU has probably actually made me play less game on XBOX and not more. It’s the Netflix effect…. You have too much choice and none of it you personally selected that being said Forza Horizon is best game in last 12 months on any console.

@Bobobiwan agree 100% - as a solo player campaign it really is good. For the £10 you can pick it up for now it’s a great option. Unfortunately all the noise around the silly GaaS part drowns out the great campaign. That and people saying “ BuT tHeY DonT loOK liKe theY do in ThA MoViEZ”

Ssx 3 is the only correct answer.

SSX tricky is brilliant but 3 beats it in every possible way and I don’t believe 3 will ever be beaten. Still play 3 all the time

Wow they have a bad attitude. Not sure why they bothered to make that expensive trailer when they had no game. It’s all just a bit rubbish in my eyes. Concentrate on making a good game and then come and show me.

People always make me chuckle when they say it hasn’t aged well. It’s a perfectly crafted game. Obviously visuals are of the time but many modern fps fall far short of this game.

@lokozar halo was a flag ship game and campaign was 8 hours. Netflix shows are longer. Unfortunately the poster was spot on with their analysis and Xbox themselves here agree. They need a constant stream of games. Good games. With the occasional monster
Game mixed in. They want to appeal to all gamers. Not just ones that like 30 plus hours on a game. They’ve moved so people can play on devices whilst they sit and watch TV. Competing with the mobile games. THey know times have changed. They are doing the right things IMHO. We just need to see how good they are at seeing more and more good games in a continual stream. Not a continual stream of big named games that disappoint. We haven’t see disappointing games yet. But who knows when the volume cranks up

I have GPU. I have a XSX and I like others have said would rather pay for Halo. Get more content and a “beefier” experience and not have the F2P model that is being called GaaS here. That’s the issue with GPU getting ALL the games I’d rather a balance that some bigger hitters can still sell themselves and not have to have all the extra mechanics to get more money from me.

Genuinely always surprised when people celebrate sales figures of a product they own like a sports team winning. Especially when it’s clear this is about supply. But YEAH GO XBOX. Back of the shed. (Niche joke).

I’m not being funny but Xbox do the same and only advertise a game as coming to Xbox. Why is everything a console war. They are bits of plastic. Buy it or don’t buy it. Don’t be silly enough to feel like it’s a team activity. They a massive multinationals they just want your money.

Was please to see Rogue one , Mando season 1&2 and Solo are all included… Bad batch too and Clone wars I believe. I’d like to see some more of the Mandalorians from mando season one featured. Same it looks like it’s only characters and not levels.

@InterceptorAlpha exactly. Nail on head. Focusing on delivering a rich Halo that players that want to play halo would keep playing should have been key. F2P market is companies constantly chasing that Fortnite gold which no one else gets close to. Especially in a similar game.

Whilst some may “take time to recharge batteries” between jobs reality is most people don’t leave one job without another in place. We have bills and mortgages - I suspect even higher paid guys like this - it would suggest he may have been politely shown the door. Allowed to keep his dignity and own narrative and avoid bad PR for all but yeah you don’t just walk out of jobs. Anyone reading this disagreeing is either very privileged or very young.

Why announce it…. Pointless. Hopefully there are some unannounced Star Wars games that will actually deliver in the next 5 years.
