Re: Starfield Wins Steam's 'Most Innovative Gameplay' Award

@PsBoxSwitchOwner a quick look through my comment history clearly shows I do not defend everything Microsoft does, even the most basic check. Did you not check before making baseless accusations? And he @ me first, why would I ignore him?

@Kevw2006 I made my opinion clearly obvious the first time, I don't think its constructive to repeat it to you again. People are welcome to share their opinions, but regurgitating it in every article over several months is not needed, no.

@themightyant Your thoughts on Starfield were interesting the first 5 times, but the next 100 times not so much, and that goes for everyone.

Like I said if I don't like a game, I don't go around every single article spamming it with the same comments over and over again, because that is selfish and honestly a total waste of my time.

If you find that enjoyable then more power to you, I just think its not a good look, and wanted to call it out.

Its not adding anything new to the discussion, its just a dunking contest. I dont think we will ever see eye to eye on this, so I will just leave it there mate

Re: Starfield Wins Steam's 'Most Innovative Gameplay' Award

@themightyant I still don't understand why you feel the need to mock the game. Why not just disagree and move on? There are plenty of games I do not like, but I don't go around telling everyone in every single article on the game, because that would just be a bit sad and selfish.

What is it about this game specifically that you and the others can't just do that. You actively mock it, and it just comes across a bit desperate that you want everyone to agree with you, when alot of people dont.

We have all read the same comments from the same posters for months ad nauseum, what exactly is it bringing to the conversation that is interesting or worthwhile or new? It is just another dunking contest like the last few months

Re: Starfield Wins Steam's 'Most Innovative Gameplay' Award

@themightyant that's your opinion, and others are entitled to theirs. If other people think its innovative then so be it, that is how opinions work.

Why do you feel the need to mock anything? Can't we just celebrate gaming and congratulate them on winning?

People can be indifferent towards a game, but people who are indifferent don't constantly talk about it, they move on. Starfields discourse tipped over to hatred long ago

Re: Starfield Wins Steam's 'Most Innovative Gameplay' Award

It still amazes me that certain commenters refuse to believe that some people actually enjoyed the game, even if they did not, and instead prefer to regurgitate bile towards the game at every single opportunity, as if we have not heard them repeat it ad nauseum since before the game even launched. It's been months, is it not time to move on with your life?

Re: BG3 Dev Offers Workaround While Xbox Tries To Fix 'Unacceptable' Saving Issue

Sakai

@JayJ it will certainly be interesting to see how the save issue is fixed in the end.

On PS5 the error 544 issue was a game issue, fixed by Larian eventually. Also one of their updates deleted peoples saves and had to be rolled back....

It's difficult to see a studio with so many issues on every single platform, get nothing but praise. It's why they get away with launching games in such a poor state, and people deserve it to be honest, because they just blindly defend it.

Re: Three Xbox Games We've Given 'Outstanding' 10/10 Scores To In 2023

@FraserG thanks for your reply, and I do see where you are comming from a little bit. But from my point of view i think that your special treatment of 1 game is part of the problem and not a part of any solution. Infact it is actively getting in the way of a solution. Games release in such a terrible state these days, and it's us the consumer who suffers every single time.

The save issue was widely reported on PS5 at launch (error code 544 if you are interested) and they launch on another platform with a similar critical save bug. How can we expect to get better products if critics turn a blind eye everytime they like a game?

The game should be reviewed in its current state, no if or buts, or you are giving every other publisher a get out of jail free card.
If its OK for BG3 to release in a mess, and score a perfect score no less, why would any other developer or publisher care about releasing a functioning product

Re: Three Xbox Games We've Given 'Outstanding' 10/10 Scores To In 2023

@FraserG BG3 launched with a similar critical saving issue on PS5 (error 544) it also launched with hundreds of other bugs on ps5 and PC. I don't agree with your special treatment of 1 game at all. Its a bad look for this site protecting a game that launched in a less than ideal state on every platform. Customers deserve better

Not sure i agree with holding off the score until a game breaking issue is fixed. I can't remember any other game getting such a free pass. I get people enjoy the game, and it's a brilliant accomplishment by the team no doubt.

But it seems like such a cheat, just to guarantee a popular game gets a certain score. You should not have to change your review policy around 1 game, just to give it a certain score. That is just strange to me and a game should be reviewed on its current state, and not idle promises. The game still has issues on all platforms, some more minor than others, and some still there months later. No platform has been smooth, at all.

I have seen other games get deducted points for bugs on this very site, so it's certainly not consistent at all. I hope you will be extending the same courtesy to other games going forward, and not just picking and choosing.

How are customers going to get well made bug free product if everyone just skips over the issues. No wonder games release in such a poor state, they are almost given a free pass.

Just my opinion, others may disagree

Re: Random: Cyberpunk 2077 Jokes About Fixing Games 'Later' With No Man's Sky Creator Sean Murray

I started Cyberpunk on PS5 again at the weekend, and while I am finally enjoying the game very much, it still has a large quantity of bugs and crashes, which people seem to be giving a free pass to as its "fixed"

In 7 hours playtime it has crashed 3 times, I have experienced various graphical bugs and glitches like the screen going black and parts of the map not loading correctly and npcs still t post.

I expected a lot better on the technical front after all the redemption arc stories and rave reviews it got.

@BRT15 if you do not mind a wire the gamesir G7 SE is a great controller (it comes with a long 3m braided cable) Its has hall effect sticks and triggers, so drift should never be a problem. The sticks are much nicer to use and way more accurate. Also comes with 2 back buttons and an app to configure everything like deadzones, instant triggers etc. I think its cheap for only 49.99 on amazon, I would almost class it an affordable pro controller. It's also sometimes on sale for 39.99 if you buy at the right time.
