Halo TV Show Season 2 Locks In A Date, Season 1 Now Free On YouTube

S1 got a ton of deserved hate but I only HATED everything involving the asian girl sidekick who was inserted for no reason. The master chief stuff was pretty ok even if it wasn't to the script of the games.

Real talk, other than canon video game master chief, Kai is my favorite spartan now. She f'ing stole the show towards the end of the season for the dozen of us that made it that far.

The helmets from the show were leaked in Halo Infinite a while back so let’s hope players can unlock those for free and it’s not a paid for thing in the shop.

Not gonna lie. Legitimately impressed this wasn't canceled mid production of season 2.

Season 1 did not have a single redeeming quality. From the awful first person sequences that made Doom look like a cinematic masterpiece and bad CGI to the terrible fanfic-tier writing to the wholly unnecessary departure from the plot of Halo.

They even went so far as to completely change what the Covenant were and their motivations. Wild the drivel even exists.

The Last of Us showed how an adaptation should be. And that's coming from someone that isn't even a particularly huge fan of the games

What frustrated me about season one is the props, sets, etc were all great, the acting was fine, but the story just spun it's wheels then entire time and went nowhere. They have all the ingredients to make a halo show, they just can't seem to do it.

I'll watch season 2 but I'm not expecting much.

Come on Microsoft there is a whole world to advertise Xbox and the brand and games outside the USA.

Never played Halo so I can't comment on the show's quality. However, the upcoming Fallout show looks absolutely incredible! I'm surprised that no one here is talking about it.

I won’t even watch it for free. It wasn’t made for fans of the franchise so why bother.

Me and the wife enjoyed Season 1 when we got a month's free of Paramount+

Watched episodes 1 and 2 and gave up,bloody awful...I'm suprised...no shocked,its got a second season.

It was a half decent sci-fi show, utter garbage as a Halo show, an insult to fans.
They should scrap it and start again, it only diminishes the franchise by digressing so far from canon.

My main issue with the Halo show is that it's dull and poorly paced. My mind kept bothering me that it's going nowhere and just wasting my time.

The only reason I'll watch the second season is to use as background noise when cooking/mealprep/washing dishes if the service is on free trial/$1. With the subwoofer off. Don't want to cut my fingers when the subwoofer hammers on.

@Jenkinss As soon as I caught a glimpse of the girl in the original trailer, I knew it was a wrap. The writers just could not resist implanting a kid. The signs were there that their focus would not in the proper place.

I didn't hate it overall and enjoyed MC story. I still believe the Halo universe is more interesting than MC but it was fine.

Yeah it was terrible, like most modern sci-fi tv-shows. They should have focused on Master Cheif. I don't know why all tv-shows these days, have to waste so much time and development of boring side characters and sideplots.

Did like season one. So am looking forward to the next.

I'm excited to hear this. I even bought Season 1 on 4K Disc.
It could have used a bit more action and less of the Asian side character. But the rest was awesome.

Very mixed feelings about this. There were some great ideas in S1. I loved how chonky the Spartans looked and felt. Having the covenant psychologically manipulate Makee to make her hate humans and use her for her connection to forerunner tech was something I wish we saw in the main games. And I'm always up for more Cortana/John shipping.

But the story kind of sucked. Kwan's arc always ground everything to a halt. The villains-to-lovers sub plot of Makee and John was forced and lame. John did not act anything at all like John. And omg, I hated hated hated the ending where John went comatose and was controlled by Cortana. Ugh. That killed any hype for S2.

But I'm in love with Spartan Kai.

I sadly watched the whole of season 1 and yea, it sucked, but there were some real Halo moments though that made me think "damn that's spot-on", if only for about 5% of the time. But MC removing his helmet? Complete blasphemy! I mean look how well a helmet-only character worked in all 3 seasons of the Mandalorian. That dude had his helmet on 97% of the time and it worked. And they could've used the OG voice actor as well FFS. Damn shame..

I watched the first three episodes on a long haul flight.

It wasn’t that bad as a show but I can understand why some fans weren’t happy.

I had no interest but checked it out since it was free.
I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it.
And Kai was great, a character you really rooted for.
