Asha should absolutely make sure this is implemented on Xbox asap. This would make great pr for the Xbox brand which they need consistently and will build more interest for Helix. Msft has to make sure their all digital future looks as pro consumer as possible.

All Msft has to do is create better digital store policies and options than Sony next gen like Steam. That will give them a great advantage over Sony.

There is a lot of ps fans causing an uproar online about Sonys decision about going full digital, but I guarantee those same ps fans will buy GTA 6 when it comes out. The issue isn’t going digital it’s the policies of the digital stores that should be the main talking point.

It would really piss me off if Obsidian was shut down, because they created some great games for Xbox in a very short time after the ABK deal.

This Msft reset is annoying, but I hope everything works out better for Xbox and these studios.

@Titntin It’s both greed and incompetence thats the reason the gaming industry is headed for a crash soon. It’s also AI which is the major cause for most of the issues with increased prices this gen and next.

@HonestHick Those studios may have not made hits according to you but they did to other gamers. I will never defend studio closures because there are devs working inside these studios trying their best to make a great games.

@Titntin It’s greed from Msft that’s the reason they’re in this position right now and the gaming industry as a whole. They put to much stock in AI and the ABK deal caused to many issues for them. I’m well aware of what’s going on in the world so you should stop acting delusional about the greed in the industry.

These are next gen prices for outdated hardware crazy. I think the gaming industry will crash soon because of greed.

They really need to find a solution to make all OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games playable on Series consoles and Helix. There has to be a way around the licensing issues.

@TheGameThrifter That’s true. But even with money hatting 3rd party exclusives it’s not a guarantee those 3rd party studios will not have the same issues with time management. A clear example of money hatting going wrong is Scalebound and other games in the report that never had a release date. I understand Asha’s job is to make Xbox operate efficiently again but closing studios will always do damage.

I hope double fine does not get shut down or any other unique dev studios at MSft. I’m sick of big corporations destroying great studios because of greed. These studios can have awards and still get shutdown it’s crazy.

I know these devs regret joining MSft right now. MSft does not seem to know how to manage studios at all and now they’re going to have less studios going forward smh. I hope these studios will be able to go independent because I like their unique games, and I really don’t know how Asha will build interest back into Xbox with all these studio closures.

This doesn’t look gd for the brand after such a great showcase. I really hope Asha doesn’t close down a ton of Xbox studios during their reset because Xbox needs diverse studios. Asha shouldn’t follow Sonys business model of closing down studios because it’s not AAA.

@Tasuki 100% agree. It’s been Nadella doing the most harm to the Xbox identity with his idiotic no exclusive vision for the brand. Common sense tells you if you’re competition on the market has exclusives you should as well.

It’s amazing how entitled ps fans are right now just because Xbox put some of their games on their system, but they have no issue with Sony not returning the favor for Xbox fans. I’m glad Asha is bringing back the Xbox identity with exclusives because Xbox without them just looks like a weak charity brand.

Well it’s about time Msft. They finally realized how important 1st party exclusivity is to their hardware and brand identity. It’s a great start but more needs to be exclusive to only Xbox and Pc going forward.

Asha would take a ton of pressure off herself if she just told the truth to the Xbox community about whether they will return to1 st party Xbox exclusivity or not because if she keeps ignoring that issue Xbox fans will not trust her anymore. Xbox putting their 1 party games on PlayStation is strange.

This is cool but I believe she should really address the 1st party exclusive issues on Xbox right now. Asha should keep Halo and Gears fully Xbox exclusive so the console can have an identity again because Xbox is suffering from a major Identity issue not games. I would also like a Xbox feature where the led lights home button on the console and controller an change color.

AI will just make more people lazy mentally especially Gen Z children. 90s generation gamers loved mastering challenging games .

The marketing message was the mistake but not the plan to access Xbox games on diverse devices.

Now we’ll see if Asha is just all pr talk with her lowering prices announcement for Xbox with this news. Let’s see if she truly has power to persuade Nadella to keep Xbox prices lower.

They should call it Xbox 1080 since this will be their 10 gen and they failed to name the Series consoles 720.
