I think it looks acceptable on Series S.

Unfortunately I just do not have the time to play this game at the moment.

All these features are looking really good and welcome additions.
I would like a better search engine especially on the store.
I would really appreciate being able to search by publisher and or developer.
If nintendo can do it why can't the other stores?

Same here, bought my XBOX to play their games.
However before I say never again, I'd have to give Sharma and the new gang a chance. I think Microsoft should have brought in the change of leadership sooner.
I have been gaming a long time, decades in fact. I have seen all the big players good times and bad, even nintendo.
Personally I do think good exclusive and original games and much wanted sequels would help. Nintendo are doing well because of this line of thought. I do appreciate that the gaming landsacpe has evolved and is not as big or as profitable as used to be.
Far too much choice and far less gaming time. What with other options competing for your screen time these days. Hence the redundancies within the business, it's tougher out there these days.
I'm hoping Sharma will do well. She will listen to all departments and the fans and mix it up with fresh ideas and maybe she will surprise us all and will make XBOX really special again.

How well are the handhelds selling in in Japan? It would be interesting to see some regional sales data.

If you're looking for some Gears Tactics type action this is pretty close.

So a an equivalent next generation Series S is on the cards.

I think that I've found a solution.
I might buy a Logitech G Cloud. I should be able to play most of the above via streaming. I'm guessing it will be future proof for next generation machines also.

Except nintendo of course.

If it was available at all in the future I would buy a Series S with disc drive.
Just to play backward compatible games unavailable on the digital stores.

The best developer direct so far. I was hoping for a secret 5th reveal to be a Crackdown remaster /4, or Halo/Gears Tactics 2.
I know these only exist in my mind.
Plus I know that these games are going to PS5 but I d like a 3 month exclusivity to XBOX. They might actually sell some consoles.

It's not really just the price tag that matters to me. It's what makes it different from the others.
I dont mean in a gimmicky sort of difference like Switch 2. Ie handheld or full screen experience which be standard for the future anyway.
I mean exclusivity, either software or hardware features. Something new and exciting. I think that will be deciding factor.
If they are just going to produce another more powerful console then PS6 will win as it will be supported by Sony and Microsoft.

Since dropping a couple of levels in Gamepass i've been buying more games that I actually want to play. I've grabbed a few bargains this time around.
I'm happy.

Totally agree with you. After the final update I think this game is one of the best this generation. Certainly one of the best Xbox exclusives, which are few and far between these days.

I wonder how many of those new PS5 owners are Ex Xbox owners?

The next generation will be very interesting. If Xbox continues with the multi platform route then I think their future will be a publisher only. It makes no sense to buy an Xbox when you can play the same games on PS6 plus Sonys exclusives.
Unless Sony go multi platform too.?

However we all know big companies seem to make terrible decisions that no sense whatsoever and yet they continue to make huge profits.

These games are regularly in weekly sales at next to nothing prices.
Just last week I decided to downgrade to the lowest Gamepass tier.
I thought to myself I have more than enough games to play from the sales and I have a huge backlog to get through.
I don't need eaplay. I don't need ubisoft plus. Just need online access and a maybe a few games. So I downgraded.

I'm so glad I did.

Surely that's got to mean pc and not console judging by the weekly Japanese charts via gematsu.com.
Tgs highlights for me so far are Sega reveals and Tiny Metal 2.

I like the 1 AAA TITLE, 1 AA Title per month strategy myself.
However, with so many releases these days, it's very competitive out there.

Surely at least 1 shadow drop at tgs 25.
Hopefully Project Diva or, even more of a long shot, Tiny Metal 3!

Although a good selection this week, I'll be too busy with the Sonic Racing Crossworlds test this weekend.

I have to agree with you. While many gamers were not very happy with the Xbox going multiplatform situation, myself included, I can understand and appriciate that times are changing. The video game industry like so many other media / enterainment industries has to adapt and evolve to survive.
When I look to the japanese weekly charts I can see Playstations and thier games outselling Xbox by thousands. However both Switch and Switch 2 outsell Playstation by tens of thousands.

If these figures are a similar pattern around the world, and I don't know if they are, it wont belong before Playstation is in trouble unless they change strategy.

I would welcome Playstation to Xbox and Im looking forward to any news direct from Sony.

I disagree with you slightly.
As well we all know some games will sell more than others. Whether or not this is going to be a good seller is yet to be determined.
I'm hoping it sells well enough for PlayStation publishing to consider publishing more tiles on Xbox in the future

Never really found out what sort of game this was going to be!?

I moved from being a dedicated 20 years plus, nintendo player because Xbox attracted me with their showcases. At first I was amazed by the quality of their games and their products and simply couldn't believe why I hadn't moved over sooner.

And although I still think gamepass is a fantastic service, I keep getting the feeling that microsoft are pushing me more towards PlayStation with each passing month.

They are losing their way and keep making errors.
I'm so sorry for those talented people in these uncertain times and wish you all success in the future. Thank you for all your hard work.

For me it's Doom The Dark Ages , followed by Monster Train 2 and South of Midnight.

Some fresh original exclusive games would be nice.

Compulsion are a very talented team.
They are a major asset to the Xbox game studios family and deserve not to be shut down. South of Midnight is very good and will probably go multi platform some time in the future.

This is awful for the employee's reading stories like this.
I think it is down to too much choice in this day and age.
To much of media, gaming, movies, tv etc. Go back 30 years. we'd be lucky to have 6 game releases in a week.
These days are like 6 a day.
It's just impossible to sell everything to everyone. This is a shame because some absolutely marvellous titles in gaming and tv have lost due to oversaturated markets. Too much choice, not enough time or money.

I love Survivors type games.

I think and hope that more pc-centric titles should be much easier to release on the next Xbox. With the closer ties to Windows, probably starting with Xbox Ally and progress from there.

I do have a question though. Why can't Xbox console play pc gamepass games via cloud , i.e., streaming?

I like that idea!
Similar idea to basketball time limits.
The devs should give that a go and see how it works.

It's ok.
But there's work to do. For me it's the camera and fine tuning the controls.

As for the other problems mentioned I'm not sure what the devs can do to improve the experience other than implement AI controlled players.
Player skills levels seemed to mismatch. I stopped playing Rocket League after years because of this reason.

Hopefully they can turn this game around from ok to amazing.

It will not be a day one purchase.
I want one and I'm willing to buy one, but I'll have to wait for reviews and see some gameplay.
I been caught out a few times in the past where my excitement got the better of me. Eg Sega 32x, Dreamcast, Wii U.

I think this is a good idea for Series S owners.
There are bargains to be had with a physical editions but Series S owners are currently excluded from.
Also if this is the future, it will mean that collectors editions will be more relevant to Series S owners also.

Yea I'm hoping for between £500 -£600 for the base model.
If that's the case then I'm pretty much sold.
Apart from the nintendo exclusives it's making switch 2 looking a little out date already. Does anyone else think this could do well for Xbox in Japan?

I have a few questions as I have never owned a handheld pc.
So will it be pc gamepass as opposed to Xbox gamepass?
Will you be able to playstation games via other store fronts?
Does it hook up to tv /monitor, and if so, what will the resolution be?
How does the power of this machine compare to Xbox series consoles?
