Think you're right regarding Inxile.
Graphically looks great, wasn't excited by the latest trailer. Same old sweary, shooty gameplay with time travel elements.
Xbox needs an exclusive the appeals to much wider audience.
I don't think this game will produce the sales figures required and therefore unfortunately more job losses as you predicted.
On the other hand I'm hopeful that Minecraft Dungeons 2 will do well enough to create jobs.

They are largely responsible for creating the shortage and price hikes of memory in the first place. Now after a fairly hopeful XBOX reset they done this.

I did buy Diablo 2 resurrected Prime collection, containing Diablo 2 & 3 a week before this sale started in the game pass offers.
There are some great offers to be had. Just nothing for me.

£50 per year for essential and another £20 per year for ea play, i have more than enough games to keep me busy.
Anything else I might want to keep and play that's also probably unlikely to come to essential, i just buy in a sale.

Not exactly shocked by this news item as it would be pretty obvious to be around the suggested dates judging from the previous Summer sales.

I never really understood why a series S or digital x couldn't have sort of blue ray drive support through usb port?

These are very welcome additions to essential. Particularly Costume Quest 2.

I recently decided the best game pass experience for me was a 12 month subscription for essential for £50 plus an ea play subscription for 12 months at £20.
Anything else from the other GP tiers I wish to play I'll buy outright.
More than enough to keep me busy.

I've been gaming a long time. All the way back from Atari 2600.
I've seen many highs and lows over that time. But hey everyone it's hard to see the future of mainstream gaming being for anyone except for the wealthy at this point in time.
I think a lot of developers, manufacturers and associated companies are creating their own problems and need to sort themselves out. This generation is killing itself and I now don't know how on earth they can save themselves with project Helix, ps6 etc.
I like what Asha Sharma had done so far but with this news today where does she go from here?

For the first time during one of these BOGOF deals there happens to be 3 games on my wishlist.

Believe or not, Godzilla Desyroy All Monsters was the reason I bought an XBOX all those years ago.
I have been a huge Godzilla (toho universe) all my life. I already had the game on game cube. However there was one character exclusive to the XBOX version so that's why I bought the XBOX.
Exclusivity crazy right?
Also have the sequel on Wii.
Hoping they have all characters playable in the remaster plus a few new ones to the game. Very excited!

Perhaps with todays multiplat releases this wouldn't be such a problem in the future.
However a Skylanders without the toys and some sort of player trade set up would be preferable today. Even paid dlc sets.
Xbox needs this style of gaming added to its catalogue.

I've been wondering about the Skylanders game that's still available on XBOX store.
Skylander Superchargers I think it's called.
Is it any good and which toys is it compatible with? I have some Imaginators and a few others from my nintendo consoles. Plus will the portal work with XBOX if bought for nintendo?

I've playing Blinx lately. I noticed on the title screen it states ' Only on Xbox'.

Some exclusives would be nice They don't have to be AAA, but Xbox Game Studio exclusives, only on Xbox or even Only on Game Pass .
I'd like some backward compatible news also please.

Plus just for once for nintendo to make an exception to celebrate XBOX 25 and as a thank you to the fans and recognising XBOX has released Banjo Kazooie games on Switch.
Please nintendo collaborate with Xbox and bring Diddy Kong Racing to nintendo switch and Xbox Series consoles.

They are slightly overpriced. However some great releases available on console for the first time. Rave Racer, Aqua Jet and Cyber Commando for example.
Hoping for Cybercycles, Alpine Racer and Propcycle to be announced soon.

What I don't understand is Hamsters decision to miss releases for Xbox such as Nebulsray. And what's with Console Archives completely missing Xbox?

The future of Xbox is looking at little brighter. Asha is doing a lot of positive things so far.
This week being particularly positive.
Hoping for a return to exclusivity. This sells consoles IMO, looking at you nintendo.

I would absolutely love a Tiny Metal 2 announcement.

Game pass is very good idea just poorly executed.
I've downgraded my subscription partly due to cost but there is far too many games and way too many unwanted perks with Ultimate. It's just not worth it for me.
However if the rumoured Xbox game studio only tier happens even without COD at the right price, I would be very interested.
Even with delayed exclusive releases.

I think it looks acceptable on Series S.

Unfortunately I just do not have the time to play this game at the moment.

All these features are looking really good and welcome additions.
I would like a better search engine especially on the store.
I would really appreciate being able to search by publisher and or developer.
If nintendo can do it why can't the other stores?

Same here, bought my XBOX to play their games.
However before I say never again, I'd have to give Sharma and the new gang a chance. I think Microsoft should have brought in the change of leadership sooner.
I have been gaming a long time, decades in fact. I have seen all the big players good times and bad, even nintendo.
Personally I do think good exclusive and original games and much wanted sequels would help. Nintendo are doing well because of this line of thought. I do appreciate that the gaming landsacpe has evolved and is not as big or as profitable as used to be.
Far too much choice and far less gaming time. What with other options competing for your screen time these days. Hence the redundancies within the business, it's tougher out there these days.
I'm hoping Sharma will do well. She will listen to all departments and the fans and mix it up with fresh ideas and maybe she will surprise us all and will make XBOX really special again.

How well are the handhelds selling in in Japan? It would be interesting to see some regional sales data.

So a an equivalent next generation Series S is on the cards.
This is an attractive option for me.

I think that I've found a solution.
I might buy a Logitech G Cloud. I should be able to play most of the above via streaming. I'm guessing it will be future proof for next generation machines also.

Except nintendo of course.

If it was available at all in the future I would buy a Series S with disc drive.
Just to play backward compatible games unavailable on the digital stores.

The best developer direct so far. I was hoping for a secret 5th reveal to be a Crackdown remaster /4, or Halo/Gears Tactics 2.

Plus I know that these games are going to PS5 but I d like a 3 month exclusivity to XBOX. They might actually sell some consoles.

It's not really just the price tag that matters to me. It's what makes it different from the others.
I dont mean in a gimmicky sort of difference like Switch 2. Ie handheld or full screen experience which be standard for the future anyway.
I mean exclusivity, either software or hardware features. Something new and exciting. I think that will be deciding factor.
If they are just going to produce another more powerful console then PS6 will win as it will be supported by Sony and Microsoft.

Since dropping a couple of levels in Gamepass i've been buying more games that I actually want to play. I've grabbed a few bargains this time around.
I'm happy.

Totally agree with you. After the final update I think this game is one of the best this generation. Certainly one of the best Xbox exclusives, which are few and far between these days.

I wonder how many of those new PS5 owners are Ex Xbox owners?

The next generation will be very interesting. If Xbox continues with the multi platform route then I think their future will be a publisher only. It makes no sense to buy an Xbox when you can play the same games on PS6 plus Sonys exclusives.
Unless Sony go multi platform too.?

These games are regularly in weekly sales at next to nothing prices.
Just last week I decided to downgrade to the lowest Gamepass tier.
I thought to myself I have more than enough games to play from the sales and I have a huge backlog to get through.
I don't need eaplay. I don't need ubisoft plus. Just need online access and a maybe a few games. So I downgraded.

I'm so glad I did.

Thought it was a bit pointless as a showcase. Should have just had separate reveals.

Surely that's got to mean pc and not console judging by the weekly Japanese charts via gematsu.com.
Tgs highlights for me so far are Sega reveals and Tiny Metal 2.

I like the 1 AAA TITLE, 1 AA Title per month strategy myself.
However, with so many releases these days, it's very competitive out there.

Surely at least 1 shadow drop at tgs 25.
Hopefully Project Diva or, even more of a long shot, Tiny Metal 3!

Although a good selection this week, I'll be too busy with the Sonic Racing Crossworlds test this weekend.
