Perhaps an oversight with the Xbox Player Voice website is that almost every request across the first five pages of the leaderboard was submitted at the start of the program, and people have just been continually upvoting them ever since. As a result, it's hard for new requests to climb their way up the rankings and get to the top.
Even if you sort by "Most Trending", it's still stuff that was submitted "16 days ago", so we're going to have to do this manually — we've been looking through the list to find the newer requests that have trended over the past week.
Here are five of the most notable trending requests we've discovered:
- Use Your Legacy IPs! Skylanders, Spyro, Crash, Etc (Submitted 5 days ago)
- Add original Xbox and 360 peripheral support to backward compatible program (Submitted 8 days ago)
- Demand a certified third-party investigation into Halo Studios leadership (Submitted 8 days ago)
- Please Keep First-Party Xbox Games Launching Day One on Game Pass Ultimate (Submitted 10 days ago)
- Bring More Backward Compatible Games to the ARGENTINE STORE (Submitted 3 days ago)
Now, there's one interesting extra detail here, which is that people are obsessed with bringing back Skylanders. There are countless requests for the series to return on the Xbox Player Voice website, to the point where if you combined them all together, they'd likely be pushing the top 10 or even top five requests on the entire leaderboard.
Here's a bit of the description for the "Use Your Legacy IPs!" request:
"The XBOX brand owns so many classics and amazing IPs, although they do nothing but sit on them. We the players are BEGGING, please use them. Let there be a reason to have faith in the XBOX brand. Bring back titles like Skylanders which shaped the 2010s with its innovative toys to life mechanics and magic. Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot which were innovators in the collectathon and platforming genres."
Beyond that, the Halo leadership investigation request comes from former Halo art director Glenn Israel (awkward!), the first-party Xbox Game Pass request talks about a fear that Xbox Game Studios titles could eventually be removed from the service, and the Argentina backwards compatibility request lists all the missing BC games in that region.
By all means go and check this out for yourself if you want to, along with the overall leaderboard which is obviously still favouring those "16 days ago" requests. For what it's worth, "Exclusives" are still top of the list, followed by "Make Online Multiplayer Free To Access" and a desire for new backwards compatibility games.
We'll leave the overall top 10 down below, just in case you want to see the latest rankings.
