I'm 100 percent interested in these remakes. Loved the originals. I think Max Payne is the only OG Xbox backwards compatible game I ever played on back on Xbox one. I also played it on the OG itself way back when. So two playthroughs , fantastic game.

@Kraven I liked the game Weird West. I think it came out around the same time as Evil West causing some confusion. Weird West is great if you never played it. Hopefully I make it to Evil West at some point. Heard almost only good things.

I haven't played this game in over 10 years but I will try in once it arrives on Pass.

@GuyinPA75 it all depends on the developers situation. If you were a developer whose going to make a game that you believe will sell like crazy, think GTA6 . It would make no sense to put it on game pass. But if you are a developer who isn't sure if their game will sell great or not, then GP giving you a guaranteed check your happy with makes all the sense in the world. Here's 10 million bucks and not a single person plays the game, but oh well I made 10 million, in good kind of thing.

So I think it's situational. Me personally I love game pass as a consumer , amazing deal. But I almost never buy games anymore , which I do imagine hurts developers. but I also think the industry is just changing. The old model of huge game sales may be on the way out. Just like movies, shows , go to Netflix, DVDs are dead etc. times are in big change for gaming.

My personal stance is I just have to get the entertainment and enjoyment out of it that I get. I can't worry too much about financials and industry. It's interesting to me, yes. But I can't really be out here trying to save game companies and stuff.

@RentedPanda yea Dead Island 2 just dropped on GP. Hopefully I get to it at some point. I wonder how much us "GP only" guys hurts the business of gaming? Because tons of games and devs stuff must not be selling much at all because of people like us. It's not really our concern as a consumer, but just curious. I I'll keep subscribing to GP until the day they move on from it I imagine. It's just a fantastic deal and product.

Im a big Xbox fan but with GamePass, which I LOVE, I can't justify really buying a game anymore. Basically I only play what's on GamePass. I wonder how many do the same?

@Gonzo_Me I'm with you I actually would play this game. Probably won't pay the money but if it was on game pass, id play it.

I'm about 70 hours in haven't finished the main quest. I play it almost everyday. I do really like the game but in some ways it's not the 9+ out of 10 game I wanted it to be. For me I'd give it an 8/10 . I think the combat is awkward and that's the part I wish was better.

@NarutosBiggestFan same , im NOT a fan of multiplayer games. I understand many are and that's why they make them. But I'm not. I can for sure get down with some multiplayer FPS, and some 1 on 1 fighters. But not something with character lore stories. Look at what they are doing with suicide squad??!? Terrible! Could have just made it single player like the Arkham games and would have been fire.

Still in a huge wu-tang fan and will play the game regardless. Just wishing it's more single player focused.

I've been wanting to download halo infinite again for awhile and this is making me want to even more. Playing a lot of starfield right now though.

@Fiendish-Beaver control and Max Payne were my favorite remedy games. Control 2 should be fire!

@NintendoByNature most people think Max Payne 2 was the best in series. Although i personally think 1 was. 3 was very mixed reviews, becuase it is so vastly different of a game than 1 and 2. I do like 3 though as well.

Zero chance this game comes to Xbox. Would be a miracle if it happened. No way it happens.

@GamingFan4Lyf oh okay yea I only use game pass on console and don't really know anything about the PC version. I guess I just assume it's damn near equal but I guess I makes sense some has things the other does not.

@GeeEssEff never heard of this game (i dont phone or pc game) but it seems like right up my alley. Also seems like a perfect game pass game. Obviously we can't get everything though. I'll probably pass because like you said seems expensive for this type of game and it's old....but I am interested

@Sol4ris I think the Series S is a fair scapegoat. Developers have admitted its caused delays with Xbox. Also Xbox last gen also had the smaller "install base", yet I don't remember games coming out earlier for ps4 than Xbox one. Besides timed exclusives of course. So I think it is in fact fair to preemptively blame series S.

Why do they make all these systems that you can't buy in stores and have to win? Sure it makes it more unique and winning would be dope....still make a cool system people can buy right? Or is it just me?

What's funny is like 3 days ago I started playing Quake on game pass. When it initially dropped for it some years back, I couldn't get down with he controls. They felt very " slippery" , still do but now I've found the hang of it and enjoying the game for sure. I'll have Quake 2 at the ready whenever I finish this one. Great!

Fantastic news to hear. Even though I have a ps5 so I was t really missing out on my beloved square games. Still though fantastic news. Hop3 many future games, and old ones from square will cross over.

Huge huge final fantasy fan here. Don't care one bit about MMO games though. So this specific game is not interesting to me at all. I like all the single player FF games. That being said, I think maybe just maybe this brings a greater chance that future FFgames , current and older ones that never came to xbox, now may. And that is HUGE to me!

I just started playing Gears Tactics this month and I'm really enjoying it. I always wanted to like strategy tactics type games, but I never get the hang of them. Gears though plays like a Tactics-lite , it's faster, more action, and really fun. For me anyways. If you like the super in depth slower tactics games, it may feel empty to you.

This stuff is protected normal , what do I know...but to me it reads mildy poorly. I don't think it's a good sign when a lead leaves before launch. Again I'm sure it happens but to me it's just another worry I have for xbox first party games in general and Storytelling.

@Tonmoy I've never owned the game. Played Online like 10 times just messing around when it was first on game pass. I am mildly interested checking out the main game now that it's back but, my back log is way too long. I doubt I'll ever get to it.

I hope and want to the deal to go through for xbox sake. Sony will be fine regardless. Xbox needs this in order to stay competitive. I really want the deal to happen. But I have my doubts. From the beginning it seemed like a slam dunk that it will go through easy. But so many months later, here we are. Even now this trail seems super in favor of xbox yet still....somehow the courts could still block it. I'm like 60/40 on it going through in my clueless head.

@stefan771 I understand that it seems an easier cheap way of developers making money from making old stuff again. However I actually love remakes of old games. Not sure your age, I'm old and the nostalgia you get from playing a remake/remaster of your youth is really cool.

I completely understand wanting new IPs and the arguments against remakes. I get it. I just personally really enjoy them . And I'm someone who loves trying new things. For me there's tons of new games and IPs I've never played so it's no shortage on that front.

@Lastatopiny most likely they are xbox fan boys. Sony is cbox number one competitor, so somewhat naturally a fan boy would dislike the things the competition does. Especially when thise things are keeping games from coming to xbox.

Me personally I have both ps5 and XSX. But I've had every xbox console and I use it more than my ps5. I'm an xbox fan for sure. I just don't get all crazy about brand loyalty. They are in it for money. We are in it for pleasure. We should try and get as much enjoyment as we can from both systems . Just my opinion.

@Lastatopiny the persons comment was, paraphrase....that he basically won't play any games that Sony timed exclusive. If Nintendo or Xbox does it he did not say wether he would play those or not. If they would play games that xbox times exclusive, that does NOT contradict thier point about Sony.

They simply don't like games that Sony Har timed exclusives for lol.

I've been holding out on Mass Effect remastered trilogy. I've never played the originals either. Well I tried Mass Effect 1 original and it was such a a drag yo get into, the control's, the graphics, a real let down from hype I heard. Hopefully the remaster fixed all this. I plan on diving in soon.

I'm scared when personal 5 royal will leave. I'll never finish it in time. I don't love the game, it's cool , but still want to see it through fully. I play it very slowly small bits at a time. I just feel like it will leave the service before I beat it.

From what I seen at the showcase. The minimum I think this game will be for me is a 9. I voted 10 because I think it will hit that. This I think will be xbox best effort at a firt party game. And I have so much doubt in them pulling thise off yet....with this one specific, all the hype, all I've seen....I think they finally for once hit an absolute home run. 10 out of 10 is what I see in the future. Guys let's really really hope this is the case!!!!!!

@themightyant I agree with just about everything you said. My point was just that many people I think do NOT agree with what you and Phil said. So I just thought it was less misunderstanding and more just disagreement. But yea fair play to you and detailed response. We are basically on the same page regardless. I think Starfield will be amazing by the way l.

@themightyant he was understood I feel like. Many people just disagree. Many actually believe putting out fantastic games will in fact make it possible for Xbox to becone the number one brand. I think many disagree with Phil, not misunderstand him.

Starfield really seems like it will be amazing. I've been very shaky and doubtful of xbox exclusives but...I think Starfield will be a Smash hit.

The scope of it, the look of it, the ability to play at your pace and way you want. I'm damn near convinced it will be flat out awesome.

I want this deal to fo through. As an Xbox fan I think Xbox needs it. Playstation will absolutely do more than survive even if this deal goes through. They will be fine. It will be great competition. This will benefit all gamers overall. Xbox has to have this deal get completed. I really want them to.

@FatalBubbles even though I liked the first hellblade...I'm not all that interested in 2. To me it was cool as a novelty interesting game. But if 2 us basically just more of the same, I'll pass.

I'm fine with the series X has it is. I don't like the .5, half upgraded, pro, systems in general. Xsx doesn't need it. If thye make a system after this generation years down the road, that's cool. But for now series X is all good.

I played the whole first game, enjoyed it. Not hyped for this one though. I don't know i guess it just felt like a food one time explaining for me. Not really longing for more of the same. What they've shown has not changed my mind either.

I've never played the original normal game. Becuase of how horrible and broke it was agmt initial release. Years later now it's all been fixed right. Should I give Cyberpunk a try and play it now if I never have?
