I think it's weird how they never fixed the offline bug where the game never remembers how you bought the game if your console is offline. Outside of that it's fine, classic Goldeneye with dual stick controls.
So in other words they are planning on making you start out with more basic cars with everything focused around them. Sounds good actually, didn't like how they just dump you into supercars right away.
@Hern4ndeZzz To me drifting is always just some side activity, not really what I want to focus on in a Forza Horizon title. I usually only have a couple of cars I setup for drifting and the rest are all setup for racing.
This company is just so lame now, they got nothing for me anymore, nothing that I find appealing, and they have given up on the one game of theirs I thought might have been interesting this gen.
I really don't see the point in dedicating a bunch of time towards getting Xbox rewards points, seems like a total waste of time doing stuff that isn't fun. Especially now that Microsoft seems to have made it harder to earn points, I have basically lost interest entirely.
The One X has always been criminally underrated, and even the One S is a great device. Both of these have the benefit of HDMI pass-through, a feature I wish they kept with Series consoles. This means I can use them on the same HDMI port I would use for something like just a cable box, PC, or streaming device/whatever.
@Balie3000 That's what happened with me, there's a certain point where I think subscriptions are no longer worthwhile and I am far better off putting money towards games I can actually own.
Xbox is just sad by now, the desperation to put a spin on all their failures this year is simply pathetic for such a large brand that was at one time the #1 name in gaming.
Does anybody even want a next gen Xbox anymore? What would be the point? It feels like this gen barely started anyways, we were doing cross-gen for the longest time.
@Brigurugi I have no idea what happened to the Xbox version of Mile High Taxi but I got both the PS5 and PC version and the port is awful on the PS5. I actually really like the game on PC for what it is, but you can tell they just did a minimum effort port for the PS5 and they never even updated it despite it having a few serious issues. It is a fun game for PC and Steam Deck though.
Surprised they made a sequel, the first one was quite terrible. I'd have to hear some great feedback on this to even consider it, and even then I'd likely wait for a sale. I think Sega is apparently releasing a proper new Crazy Taxi eventually anyways.
@Boogaloo_Jenkins That's only a claim to how well Microsoft has been doing as a video games publisher, says nothing about the Xbox brand really. If they didn't go multiplat publisher they would probably be losing lots of money on their games.
@RadioHedgeFund I find it amazing how some people sit through an entire award show they call garbage just to watch these trailers, especially when sites like this list all them right after the show is over.
That screen sort of reminds me of the Dreamcast controller, that VMU screen was a pretty cool gimmick for it's time, but I know this will only support some basic features, not really working with the games like that did.
Xbox used to feel so promising, sucks what it's become. Funny how this was disappointing back in it's day but by now it feels like more like a hidden gem classic.
@xboxjapanfan I think I will always call the Xbox One the most underrated and unfairly hated console of all time. Helps how I also consider the PS4 one of the most overrated consoles of all time, not that I don't like it, just that I think it was held up as something far greater than I ever thought of it as. Always loved the Xbox One's focus on backwards compatibility and it's HDMI pass-through, a unique feature for consoles I wish became standard.
Infinite has easily been the worst Halo. I didn't even bother buying it, the only Halo game I don't own, played it on Game Pass while I had a subscription and the campaign just didn't do anything for me. Multiplayer scene couldn't appeal to me either. Not surprised it's been somewhat of a failure, I don't even care about this franchise anymore. Sticking to MCC as the go-to for Halo if I am ever in the mood.
@xboxjapanfan Yeah that has basically been my experience as well. I always felt like I was one of the few who genuinely preferred the Xbox One over the PS4, I had fun messing around with Kinect on both Xbox 360 and One, and I found the games Xbox was making to be genuinely appealing.
Feels like that all took a sharp nosedive this gen. I just don't like anything about the direction Xbox has gone in over the past few years, and even their games simply don't appeal to me at all anymore either. Same deal, they just feel far too politically influenced, like they are constantly trying to lecture me on the ideals of the dev team as opposed to giving me a truly immersive experience.
I just can't have any enthusiasm for this brand anymore, they are no longer doing anything that I find appealing and the management is clearly tone deaf.
I feel like I am one of the few people who genuinely preferred F1 24 but that's also likely because I'm a controller user. I played F1 25 and it felt like they went back to the sort of physics that 23 had that the hardcore wheel users preferred.
Well hopefully them taking a break on 26 means 27 will have the opportunity for something all-around better.
This came off like some company rep desperately trying to assure everyone they definitely aren't going out of business while they clearly are. Seen it happen too many times with failing companies/brands.

Re: Obsidian Says Two Of Its 2025 Titles Didn't Meet Sales Targets, Vows To Learn For The Future
Looking at the games they have been making, I don't think they have been wanting to learn.

Re: Talking Point: Will The Next Xbox Console Be Revealed In 2026?
No because it's too early and ram shorages.

Wow they really loved the Splinter Cell games back in the day. They were good, but not exactly THAT good.

It's a most important year because the brand is quickly dying off due to all the awful decisions by it's leadership.
Re: Xbox 360 User Shows What'll Happen When It Reaches Date Limit On December 31st, 2025
Seems like an oddly shortsighted thing, there's electronics from the 80's that allow you to set the date up to 2099.
