@fatpunkslim Yeah the city footage just looks odd here, sort of post-apocalyptic with the way it's set in a big city without anyone walking around. I mean FH4 also sort of had that problem in Edinburgh but I feel like it wasn't nearly as much of an issue with the way they designed the game map.
In Tokyo, it's just weird to have nobody walking around and hardly any traffic. I feel like they really should have came up with a solution for that with this game as it's a new game and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some real improvements like that.
I kinda like how this is a return to form for RE. RE7 was well received but it always felt like an unofficial first person Texas Chainsaw Massacre game more than an RE game. Village felt closer to RE4 at least.
It seems like Microsoft will do anything besides put someone who is actually passionate about gaming in charge. Phil kind of met that but then again he always felt sort of a pushover agreeable boss sort of leader who just never really stuck by the gamers.
This new boss, she gives me zero confidence in the future of this brand. Background with Instacart and leading AI, and seemingly having no real passion or knowledge for gaming.
Rewards just isn't worth bothering with anymore. If you don't have ultimate it gives you next to nothing in return for purchases and the weekly stuff is like a very poor paying job.
@Cruxis Maybe in the past but ever since Microsoft made revisions it feels like I hardly get anything in the way of rewards anymore. Trying to get them feels like slave labor.
I think it's weird how they never fixed the offline bug where the game never remembers how you bought the game if your console is offline. Outside of that it's fine, classic Goldeneye with dual stick controls.
So in other words they are planning on making you start out with more basic cars with everything focused around them. Sounds good actually, didn't like how they just dump you into supercars right away.
@Hern4ndeZzz To me drifting is always just some side activity, not really what I want to focus on in a Forza Horizon title. I usually only have a couple of cars I setup for drifting and the rest are all setup for racing.
This company is just so lame now, they got nothing for me anymore, nothing that I find appealing, and they have given up on the one game of theirs I thought might have been interesting this gen.
I really don't see the point in dedicating a bunch of time towards getting Xbox rewards points, seems like a total waste of time doing stuff that isn't fun. Especially now that Microsoft seems to have made it harder to earn points, I have basically lost interest entirely.
The One X has always been criminally underrated, and even the One S is a great device. Both of these have the benefit of HDMI pass-through, a feature I wish they kept with Series consoles. This means I can use them on the same HDMI port I would use for something like just a cable box, PC, or streaming device/whatever.
@Balie3000 That's what happened with me, there's a certain point where I think subscriptions are no longer worthwhile and I am far better off putting money towards games I can actually own.
Xbox is just sad by now, the desperation to put a spin on all their failures this year is simply pathetic for such a large brand that was at one time the #1 name in gaming.
Does anybody even want a next gen Xbox anymore? What would be the point? It feels like this gen barely started anyways, we were doing cross-gen for the longest time.
@Brigurugi I have no idea what happened to the Xbox version of Mile High Taxi but I got both the PS5 and PC version and the port is awful on the PS5. I actually really like the game on PC for what it is, but you can tell they just did a minimum effort port for the PS5 and they never even updated it despite it having a few serious issues. It is a fun game for PC and Steam Deck though.
Surprised they made a sequel, the first one was quite terrible. I'd have to hear some great feedback on this to even consider it, and even then I'd likely wait for a sale. I think Sega is apparently releasing a proper new Crazy Taxi eventually anyways.
@Boogaloo_Jenkins That's only a claim to how well Microsoft has been doing as a video games publisher, says nothing about the Xbox brand really. If they didn't go multiplat publisher they would probably be losing lots of money on their games.
@RadioHedgeFund I find it amazing how some people sit through an entire award show they call garbage just to watch these trailers, especially when sites like this list all them right after the show is over.

Re: Xbox Fan Shares Project Helix UI Concept, This Time Based On The 360 NXE Dashboard
I think some people forgot how awful this is for big game libraries.

Do Xbox devotees even exist anymore?
Re: Microsoft CEO On Xbox's Future: 'We'll Always Invest In Gaming'
So just typical big business executive speak when addressing the media.

Re: Here's Almost 10 Minutes Of Uncut Gameplay Footage From Forza Horizon 6
I know I will want this game but I feel like I can wait for the PS5 Pro release. First Forza Horizon game I won't be buying day 1 on Xbox.
Re: GoldenEye & TimeSplitters Creators Return To Xbox With The Most Unlikely Of New Games
So they uhh, created a Scrabble game?
Re: Halo: The Master Chief Collection Gets Surprise Update On Xbox & PC
@Nakatomi_Uk Yup now the AAA industry is obsessed with chasing after the "live service" model. 90's - 00's was truly the golden age of gaming.
Re: Review: The 'Nacon Revolution X Unlimited' Is A Fantastic-Feeling Xbox Controller, At A Cost
I think I will stick with my Elite 2. The screen seems gimmicky and the d-pad looks awful and I hate having bright lights on a controller.

Re: Poll: How Optimistic Are You Feeling About The Future Of Xbox?
On a scale from 1-10, probably a 2.

Re: Xbox President Sarah Bond Is Also Leaving The Company, Microsoft Confirms
@JumpingJackson If the stock keeps dropping Satya will probably be next on the chopping block.
Re: Who Is Asha Sharma? A Look Back At The Career Of The New Xbox Boss
@Duck_Farmer She seems like the sort of person who would have given people a hard time for "wasting time" playing video games.

Wow, exactly what Xbox needed, more things being removed.
Re: Report: Next Year Is 'Best Case Scenario' For New Xbox Console, Microsoft Still Unsure On Price
Well it's a good thing Microsoft has decided to make Xbox more like Windows right as everyone decided they hate Windows and want to use anything else.

Consoles getting dusty over time isn't exactly a revelation.

People still care about Xbox rewards?!
Re: Obsidian Says Two Of Its 2025 Titles Didn't Meet Sales Targets, Vows To Learn For The Future
Looking at the games they have been making, I don't think they have been wanting to learn.

Re: Talking Point: Will The Next Xbox Console Be Revealed In 2026?
No because it's too early and ram shorages.

I'd give them about three fiddy, $350
Re: A Year Later, Microsoft Remains Highly Committed To Its 'This Is An Xbox' Campaign

Re: Five Reasons Why 2026 Is One Of The Most Important Years In Xbox History
It's a most important year because the brand is quickly dying off due to all the awful decisions by it's leadership.
Re: Xbox 360 User Shows What'll Happen When It Reaches Date Limit On December 31st, 2025
Seems like an oddly shortsighted thing, there's electronics from the 80's that allow you to set the date up to 2099.
