I’m usually jumping between a main game and 3 sub games that are easy to play in bite size times

So long as I can still get a next XSX experience on my TV, I’m happy to have a hybrid consul. I just want high fidelity console gaming with quick resume. If it’s also a handsome, let’s ***** GOOOO!

This was a little that a little over my head when I was younger and I never played it. I’m definitely interested in a remake!

I’d change a few things, but it’s so much better than the PS5 UX/UI. Everyone time I play something in my PS5, I’m annoyed that is doesn’t have quick resume among other things.

That’s a high price point for an all digital X. My guess is it comes with 3TB of internal storage.

I live in the US and feel like Xbox doesn’t advertise nearly as much as PlayStation and that’s a contributing reason for lower sales here.

I have the 2TB expansion card and a 4TB SSD connected via USB. So I’ve got tones of storage and also delete games when I’m done or if I haven’t played them in a long awhile.
I love having older games saved on my external drive, being able to jump into some perverse gen of classic game when I feel like it is very nice.

I think I’m using 3.5TB of my 7TB of storage.

And that thinking lets to the horribly handled launch of the Xbox one. Make a lot more sense with that context. Never make decisions out of fear!!!

@Artois2 right!! That haven’t don’t a single meaningful thing with the service since it came out.
They’ve been around long enough that they should be on par with what google stadia was doing, but xcloud remains lackluster.

I love this for them. Can’t wait to see Control 2, Remedy is such a great studio. I just hope they don’t go full digital for the control series.

@FatalBubbles What has been talked about over the last 3 years?! There hasn't been anything to talk about for the last 3 years. The reveal trailer came out 3 years ago and nothing else until the direct days ago. The lighting looks a little different, I'll give you that, but it's pretty flipping spot-on from that reveal trailer.

Honestly, I don’t expect it. But I definitely will always buy a device that takes physical media vs digital only

Now more than ever I’m buying physical copies of films and games. I want to own my library and take it offline anytime I choose.

I would love to see some quality of life improvements. Stuff like Dolby Atmos being fixed so we’re able to use it without a massive delay.

I’m still rather confused at how this is an Xbox problem… Non of my games have save issues. In fact, the only game I can think of that gave me any issues was Hades, it wasn’t really a save issue - it was achievements. They wouldn’t unlock. That was around when the game was on gamepass. Maybe it’s better now, but that was really annoying lol

Anyways, if someone can shed some light on the save data issue, would appreciate it.

It's shocking to me that the PS5 is selling that much more. I have all the systems, the only things I play on my PS5 are the console exclusives. The Xbox is SO much better for UX & UI, I play all third-party games on it and consequently, most of my gaming time is on the XSX. Every time I turn on my PS5 and have to reload into a game (even though it's very fast...) it's painfully annoying not having something like quick resume on it.

This just goes to show you, most people buy systems blindly and don't look at features...and of course, for the exclusives 🫠

This sucks. I haven’t had to pay for game pass in a long while because of the rewards, sooner or later this isn’t going be worth it.

I was planning on getting this game as I enjoyed the first and American nightmare a lot, but as it stands with being digital only, I’m not going to get it. I’ll wait for a deep discount in the sub $20 range sometime next year.

I wonder what the sales numbers were for each platform.

How is it they don’t count digital sales for consoles but PC is usually 100% digital sales…?!

I haven’t stopped playing it yet. Having so much fun exploring everything the game has to offer. It’s clearly not perfect, but it’s absolutely a top 3 game of the year for me.

Oh man, I wish the quality of life updates they talked about were in this update. Guess we gotta wait a little longer.

Does a driving sim have mass appeal?? I was a little interested, mostly because it was coming to gamepas, not because I actually like driving sim games lol

I'd like to see sales numbers for this game some day. I feel most people don't care about a dice rolling, turn based RPG. Well made or not. Clearly loved by critics and a success story, but it doesn't have mass appeal.

This is partly why Nintendo is so successful. Low price points matter. I know SOOOOO many people that got the PS5 and the XSS.
Bet me the play time numbers are more switched. XSX players probably play 65% more than XSS owners.

Tried Skyrim so many times on different gens but couldn’t get into it. The closest I’ve ever gotten into a Bethesda game was fallout 4 and I didn’t actually like it that much, so didn’t put much time into.

I’m close to 100 hours into Starfield and I feel like the game still has so much to offer. I’ll be praying it for a while.

I work in the TV/Film industry, so since the strike started I probably average close to 30 hours a week. Sorta depends. I still do freelance work here and there so on a busy week I’d maybe get 15 and on a not as busy week, 20. Just depends. Most weeks I’m not working and I’ll dump 30 hours into games easily.

I’ve had the game crash a few time when using fast travel in new Atlantis and one or two loading screens that took a little longer than normal when jumping from a big city to a big city. Apart from that, everything else has been perfectly smooth and I’ve had the game on quick resume since early access started!

Microsoft should make a Starfield edition bundle for the holiday season. The new “wrap”, Starfield edition controller and a copy of the game. Seems like a no brainer, but at this point in the year it’s probably too late for manufacturing if they haven’t started already.

Hahaha looks like tons of people that don’t have an Xbox or a PC that’s up to snuff are all trying to play on the cloud and it’s overwhelmed. No surprise there! Lol

Why can’t studios just do 9-5 working hours? They all seem to do crunch and it’s so physically and mentally unhealthy and unstable. I don’t get it, don’t burn out your people by giving them impossible deadlines.

As good as it looks, I’ll be skipping this one. No physical release, no purchase from me.

I spent so much time trying to get this figured out because I thought it was my set up back when I got the XSX. I have an LG C1 and the Sonos Beam gen 2/rear ones/sub mini. Pass through is all, eARC, the whole shabang! Only thing that gets the sync lag to go away is turning off atmos.

FYI - Lag happens with Dolby digital as well.

They made it seem like the watch was going to have some kinda game connectivity, I wish they’d talk about it more.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner for sure! Lol but it also seemed like they indicated the watch would do something with game connectivity.

I wish they would share more details on what that watch can do in the collector's edition.

I have to admit, I feel like the Series S wasn’t a misstep…because it’s a commercial success, but it feels like Microsoft should have made a SX digital, maybe something aiming for 1440p/60FPS output so the the GPU could be a slightly smaller cheaper vision. And I know, that’s what the SS is…but it seems like devs mostly hate and some say it out loud and others don’t.

Now I have a Series X at home on my nice TV/sound system and I have a Series S at my partners house. I actually don’t mine playing on it and they only have a 1080p TV anyways. I feel like it’s a high value machine for the price point.

But I do have a question, what’s the PC equivalent GPU to the SS GPU?
Cause done devs target low end PC GPUs anyways? I’m struggling to understand what the difference is. Considering the CPU in the SX and SS are the same…shouldn’t it only be a difference in resolution and fidelity?

This has not hit my Xbox yet and I don’t think it will for maybe a week or more which is a bummer.
