How strange that save progress doesn’t transfer for xbox but it does for the other systems. I mean I’d start a new save file anyways, and I could also pull out my 360 disc and boot up my old save, but still…

I’m surprised the SD card is not Express. With Nintendo requiring SD EX cards for the Switch 2, I figured anything that did fast loads times would also adopt it.

Xbox has no plans for its future, brand identity or acquisitions. Microsoft just wants to keep its share holders happy. So much of this makes me not want whatever the next Xbox is…

If they do cross platform saves….I’ll totally buy it again on Xbox, for democracy!

I was all in on the idea of an ASUS xbox handheld, but with the rumors of an Xbox making their own handheld in 2026...I might wait it out. The Switch 2 will keep me happy until then.

Crazy to think that soon the best way to play an Xbox Studio game will be on the PS5 Pro.

I buy all my games physical - so I hope at the very least they have detachable drive. I honesty won't be surprised of any outcome at this point, I'm just happy they're going to make another Xbox, I like the PS5 (for the exclusives) but the UX/UI and features on Xbox (I'm looking at your quick resume) are SO much better.

So if its doing windows with an xbox interface, will I be able to download and use steam?

I never understood why the game awards happen in December. Why not do January, that way games that come out late November/early December would be considered.

It really depends on the week and how much I’m playing. My Sonos surround sound system and LG C1 tend to interact strangely and have some start up issues with the Xbox when in shutdown mode.

This is a great patch but I’m disappointed (unless I missed it in all those notes) they are making any improvements to PVP match making. Thats been such a pain for me and my friends trying to play game together.

I have so many fond memories of having a bunch of friends over and playing split screen for hours. It would be amazing if this game got backward compatibility support.

This was a little that a little over my head when I was younger and I never played it. I’m definitely interested in a remake!

I’d change a few things, but it’s so much better than the PS5 UX/UI. Everyone time I play something in my PS5, I’m annoyed that is doesn’t have quick resume among other things.

That’s a high price point for an all digital X. My guess is it comes with 3TB of internal storage.

I live in the US and feel like Xbox doesn’t advertise nearly as much as PlayStation and that’s a contributing reason for lower sales here.

I have the 2TB expansion card and a 4TB SSD connected via USB. So I’ve got tones of storage and also delete games when I’m done or if I haven’t played them in a long awhile.
I love having older games saved on my external drive, being able to jump into some perverse gen of classic game when I feel like it is very nice.

I think I’m using 3.5TB of my 7TB of storage.

And that thinking lets to the horribly handled launch of the Xbox one. Make a lot more sense with that context. Never make decisions out of fear!!!

@Artois2 right!! That haven’t don’t a single meaningful thing with the service since it came out.
They’ve been around long enough that they should be on par with what google stadia was doing, but xcloud remains lackluster.

I love this for them. Can’t wait to see Control 2, Remedy is such a great studio. I just hope they don’t go full digital for the control series.

@FatalBubbles What has been talked about over the last 3 years?! There hasn't been anything to talk about for the last 3 years. The reveal trailer came out 3 years ago and nothing else until the direct days ago. The lighting looks a little different, I'll give you that, but it's pretty flipping spot-on from that reveal trailer.

Honestly, I don’t expect it. But I definitely will always buy a device that takes physical media vs digital only

Now more than ever I’m buying physical copies of films and games. I want to own my library and take it offline anytime I choose.

I would love to see some quality of life improvements. Stuff like Dolby Atmos being fixed so we’re able to use it without a massive delay.

I’m still rather confused at how this is an Xbox problem… Non of my games have save issues. In fact, the only game I can think of that gave me any issues was Hades, it wasn’t really a save issue - it was achievements. They wouldn’t unlock. That was around when the game was on gamepass. Maybe it’s better now, but that was really annoying lol

Anyways, if someone can shed some light on the save data issue, would appreciate it.

It's shocking to me that the PS5 is selling that much more. I have all the systems, the only things I play on my PS5 are the console exclusives. The Xbox is SO much better for UX & UI, I play all third-party games on it and consequently, most of my gaming time is on the XSX. Every time I turn on my PS5 and have to reload into a game (even though it's very fast...) it's painfully annoying not having something like quick resume on it.

This just goes to show you, most people buy systems blindly and don't look at features...and of course, for the exclusives 🫠
