Question…my Series X can’t play all my 360 games (I’ve tried many) do all 360 games work in the Xbox one or just select games (sorta like the XSX)?

I get it now. You get normal Live services and all these games are a gateway drug for GP Ultimate.

@VisitingComet1 I was back and forth for a bit, but I think I'm gonna be playing this game for a long time and will pause my game pass subscription for a time anyways. My partner is going to a wedding that I opted out of and now I have nothing to do labor day weekend, might as well get the game early! lol

Is anyone tempted by the early access thing? I think it lets you play the game on September 1st.

I feel this gen could go for more than 8 years. Like if we got a 5 year “mid gen upgrade” and the ninth gen systems go for 10 years before the tenth generation hardware comes out.

Ok if the Series S was the only option as a new console back in 2020, Microsoft would have lost HUDE market share. I for one would not have picked it up and gotten a PS5 off the bat instead of picking it up a few years later.

I could be wrong on this, but I recall analysts saying the GPU on the XSS was less powerful than the 1X but the XSS has a much more powerful CPU...
That mentality of the XSS is the main and the XSX is the mid gen upgrade is crazy. Feels like they're just saying BS for no reason.

Remember how we were promised games at 4k/60 with this generation? I’m ok with game running at 4k/30 but I can’t help but wonder why they thought that was going to be a standard.

I'm always 100% fine with 4k/30! Game play looked amazing, so I'm cool with it.

It was...fine. Nothing all that exciting and it really made me miss E3.

Nearly finished with Jedi Survivor but started playing Tears of the Kingdom so it’s all over now 🫠

I finished this game last week and it was pretty unsatisfying. Not to mention super frustrating that the achievements were broken and about half didn’t unlock.

I wish they would do this for FC4...one of the handful of games I've 100%ed.

I don’t know how delay could make this title more appealing. The game play looks so dull.

I'm sick this weekend so I'll be getting into Atomic Heart, MW2, DBZ Kakarot and probably some cities skylines.

I had to stop playing this game as it made me motion sick...and the comedy got stale after the 5th hour.

I don’t buy less, but I definitely wait for sales on digital games now. I’ll buy a physical copy of something now and again, but not as often as I use to. With gamepass my back catalogue is so massive it’s super easy to wait for a 25-50% off sale and grab what I want then OR just wait until I can get it on eBay/offer up for cheap too.

Halo lacked features. Moving to a new game engine doesn't make sense. the Infinite campaign was great, I wanted more of that open halo style of playing. It's a shame what's happening over there.

People don't want live service games. Put something out that stands on its own, don't release it early, maybe drop a few DLCs, and move on. So strange that they're going to delist it. Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch, and CoD have made publishers chase the live service/subscription-based model that doesn't work in most cases. I'm so tired of it.

I picked this up a few months ago and still have so much stuff to play through before I get to it, so this delay is nice cause I won't feel like it's waiting for me to start it! lol

My favorite part, at the end of the trailer is says “coming…when it’s ready” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@themightyant yeah that was my thought, even if the stores are taking a much smaller percentage, all the steps involved must cut into revenue by a big amount.

Now retailers also sell digital codes, what’s the take on those - cause if I buy a digital code through target and redeem it on my console, what’s Microsoft/Nintendo/Sonys take on those?
My first thought is it would be lower - but I really don’t know!

@themightyant Do you know what the cost is for physical games? If a dev/publisher has to give Microsoft 30% on digital sales, what would it cost them to put it on a big box store shelf?

They better put out a firmware update that’s lets me use that controller with Bluetooth connection outside of stadia use. It’s gonna be really annoying having a controller that only works via wired connection and limited at that.

I’ve really into Rings of Power and remembered that I never finished Shadow of War, so I’ve been replaying that on my XSX. It has a 4K add on you can download for free (which I think they made for the one X) and it looks FANTASTIC! Considering is came out in 2017, wow I’m impressed. Plus no load time. I recall the game having really annoying load times on my PS4. So this is like a breath of fresh air!

Is a game where Morty talks to you most of the time really have big appeal?
This style of comedy is all cringe at this point. You get a little with Rick and Morty and a lot with solar opposites. Since it’s coming to game pass I might check it out, if the reviews are good.
