Forza Horizon isn't a series I've been playing much in recent years to be honest — I enjoyed Forza Horizon 4 , but was pretty much done with it by the time the Xbox Series X and S rolled around, and for whatever reason I could never get much enjoyment out of Forza Horizon 5 . The sixth entry, however, is one of my favourite racing games ever .
And so, almost by accident, I've been using Quick Resume to jump back into the open world whenever I get a spare moment, and to my surprise, I haven't run into a single issue with the feature as of yet.
I go into the game, get a little "reconnecting" screen for about 5-10 seconds, and then everything is connected as normal. No hitches, no loading (unless the new Festival Playlist is out), no waiting around. Was this a thing in Forza Horizon 5? You'll have to tell me, because FH6 offers the best Quick Resume experience I've ever encountered!

I feel like I'm finally unlocking the true potential of Quick Resume with this game, and it's actively making me want to play it as much as possible. I don't always have multiple hours to sit down in front of my Xbox Series X, and so for those spare 10-20 minutes here-and-there, Forza Horizon 6 offers the perfect chance to drive around, smash a few Bonus Boards, complete a race-or-two, and maybe tick off something on the latest Playlist.
It's not like I can't do that without Quick Resume, but I'm just much less inclined to. It's the reason I'm not playing Forza Horizon 6 on my ROG Xbox Ally X as much right now — it's a fantastic game on there for sure, but the allure of a near-instant, seamless and glitch-free Quick Resume transition is a massive benefit of the Series X and S versions.
I'm sorry I ignored you for so long, Quick Resume! Perhaps I'm going to have to start using this feature a lot more with other titles going forward, and I'd love to hear your favourite QR games down in the comments below. Fingers crossed they manage to get this feature over to Project Helix , as I can't imagine playing FH6 without it now.
