It's official! We'll be playing Halo: Campaign Evolved in just a matter of weeks, with Xbox announcing as part of the Xbox Games Showcase today that the game will launch on July 28th, 2026 for Xbox Series X, Series S, PC and PS5.

Today's announcement was also accompanied by an awesome new trailer that you can watch up above. As previously revealed, Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of the first game in the series, but only the campaign - not multiplayer.

While July 28th is the date for the main release (which includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass), the game also includes an early access period for Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade buyers from July 23rd.

We're pretty darn stoked to be getting a Halo remake in less than two months' time here, and fingers crossed it can live up to expectations. You can check out more details about the game down below, along with a look at the Premium and Collector's Editions.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a faithful yet expanded remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, rebuilt from the ground up. Play the legendary story with HD visuals, refined controls, up to 4-player online co-op, 3 new missions, and an expanded arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and new enemies.
