Re: Talking Point: Have This Month's Announcements Made You Excited About Xbox Again?

GameOverScreen

Honestly, the way gaming is going at the moment I am not too excited for the future. Maybe I am growing old? This next Xbox is everything the Series console should have been, but I guess it wasn’t the right time yet. I am down for an Xbox that’s the cross (X get it) box between Console and PC, what it essentially should have always been. If the specs are great and the launch games are truly next gen (no cross gen stuff), I’d be willing to splash 499 for it. I can only imagine what’s been cooking up from their developers for next gen! My biggest wish is we get AI games, with flexible quests, story lines and NPCs acting like real people and please just let games run 4K 60fps.

Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying The 2025 Xbox Handheld From ASUS?

GameOverScreen

Honestly I think they lost the plot! If it’s true and a dedicated handheld is coming for next gen which is at most 2 years away, why would I commit to this handheld now? I am actually a bit cross about this generation, where’s the one game that actually made the series x shine? Was that supposed to be Hellblade 2 or the new Doom? Such underwhelming games man, anyways I do love the Xbox and I just wish this generation didn’t feel so wasted. Whatever…

Re: Poll: Which Is Your Favourite Gears Of War Game On Xbox?

GameOverScreen

Gears 2 still is the best, don’t know what they were thinking on the later entries. Could have been good if they just kept the gore and the executions tight. But they had to introduce yellow glowing enemies in the third game, and then robots in the 4th and after that the series was dead to me. Like thanks Microsoft for trying to make it a Rated E game when it should have been always almost a Rated AO.

Re: Eight Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Early May 2025

Jurassic World Evolution 2 was great but I bought and played the first one so much that the second one didn’t feel like much of an upgrade, and then it just takes ages unlocking dinosaurs… like unbelievable how sluggish progress was in this game. Wondered for a long time when it would leave and now is the day, if it was 90% I may pick it up lol

Re: Reaction: Xbox's Third-Party Strategy Is Finally Making Sense To Me

GameOverScreen

I ve played exclusively on Xbox essentially since the 360, with the One I went all in on digital games. I have hundreds of titles across all Xbox generations and I love them all. For me as long as new hardware allows me to play all those, I will be in the market for an Xbox. Honestly I am not a huge fan of gamepass as subscriptions just eat my money, and I am tired of it. Anyways I do hope Xbox will do something new and exciting with their next console, something that makes it unique from the other consoles, so they offer an experience you may only get there. I am excited for the future of Xbox and I hope we still have them in 20 years!

Re: Xbox Spring Sale 2025 Seemingly Delayed To Next Week As 'Sneak Preview' Continues

I purchased a few games, including Onimusha. It’s undoubtedly a Resident Evil-inspired game set in ancient Japan. It’s both awesome and clunky. The System Shock remake by Nightdive is pure gold. If you’ve played the Bioshock games, this is essentially the same game, but set in a cyber setting. I can’t believe how good this game is. Couldn’t put it down and played 2 hours straight.

Re: After Three Months, These Are The Top 10 Xbox Games Of 2025

GameOverScreen

Been gone for a while, the whole Drop the Price talk around the Switch 2 got me back! The utter state of gaming in the 2020s is a shock, like I remember watching that Killzone 2 reveal trailer and was like brah if games look this good now what will they look like in 20 years,… terrible should have been my guess! Anyways best game on that list is by far Ninja Gaiden 2 which I kinda played almost 20 years ago. Don’t ask me about Avowed, they flopped it, I was looking forward to that the most and I couldn’t even bare finishing the first level, weak through and through. Like almost like mediocrity has replaced creativity in almost every game. Anyways sorry to “rain on your parade”, that was actually a good game, but don’t let me get you down, I am just disappointed these days. Games should have been a lot further ahead as they are now. I wish everyone on here an awesome Friday night full of gaming, whatever your choice have fun!

Re: Alan Wake 2 Seemingly Struggled To Make An Impact On Xbox In October

GameOverScreen

@Camble_Refuge yeah that's not true. I've bought plenty of games and will continue to do so, if they are on game pass or not, it's not like I'm holding out on buying a game with the hope it'll be on the service anytime in the future. If there is a game that's worth playing, I'll just go and buy it. Dead Space Remake, I knew it'll be included in the service and still bought it at release. In regards to Alan Wake 2, I wanted this game like 10 years ago, now I'm like "meh, I'll get it in a sale." So that's my two cents to your anti game pass rhetoric. But you do you and keep believing in those fairytales. ✌️

Re: Xbox Games With Gold For January 2023 Announced

GameOverScreen

I remember games with gold used to give us some gems every now and then. But it's been terrible since Gamepass has come about. Honestly, I own way over 400 games on Xbox alone, I have more than I can ever play, I'll add these two to the collection to be forgotten, like so many others before it.

To those comparing it to ps+, does sonys game subscription give you better value for money than Gamepass does, it doesn't. I'm happy with Xbox and the direction they took, if they can now just retire gold all together and move away from that subscription to a simple, Gamepass or Gamepass ultimate subscription, I'd be very happy. Who knows maybe next year is the year it's getting retired.

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Immortality On Xbox Game Pass So Far?

GameOverScreen

I just played it now, and my god, this is something special. Basically you're manipulating movie scenes, with ffw and rewind, you can also inspect. When you inspect something you get taken to another scene that has that item. What sold me on this game, were two instances so far that had me absolutely tripping. If you somewhat into movies, or even just were into movie productions and behind the scenes stuff, this game is for you. It's brilliant and I will be playing it until stuff makes sense.
