Crisol and soulslinger look good to me. Crisol in particular because I didnt know blumhouse had a game studio as Ive watched a lot of their movies.

Wow some great drops, but once again I feel ultimate to be completely useless most months of the year. I think they are just banking on when they do release a first party game (maybe 4-5 months out of the year?) that it makes up for the 8 months of pretty much nothing.

Continuing my first playthrough of Resident Evil 4 Remake. I played the original (well, when it got ported to xbox) a long time ago. The Remake is fantastic. It is also prepping for resident evil 9, as I have pretty much played every game in the series, even most or the spin offs.

@fatpunkslim you keep having to say "except this" and "except that". You have to fine tune your argument so that it is correct instead of just a blanket statement.

Playing Resident Evil 4 Remake. Loved the original so figured it's time i revisit and play the remake version. Waiting for Mio to drop on gamepass January 22nd

@Cikajovazmaj I always wonder how there are 1000 votes on these polls but I only ever see the same like 20-25 people in the comments. There must be a lot of lurkers who participate in polls and nothing else or people are voting multiple times?

Only a couple that peak my interest so far. Hopefully they resume with the new game drops the first week of January.

@PennywiZe666 im glad someone said it. These were not the comments I was expecting. I like the guy as a person but he definitely had a hand in this drastic change (despite some people thinking he is just a puppet on strings).

@Fiendish-Beaver yeah they fumbled this acquisition. This acquisition could've easily put them far ahead in terms of console sales if done right. Not saying they should've gated every game, but had they done the majority people would've easily bought an xbox to play them. They just grew inpatient from the decades long disasters beforehand.

I thought turn 10 and playground studios were two different studios? Is turn 10 making the next horizon game or am I missing something

They should have swapped places with this and star wars: Fate of the Republic in terms of where they were revealed. People were hyped and awake in the beginning, maybe would've been like "oh, cool"...but after 4 hours they're tired and cranky and like alright this sh+t at the end better be good.

@Chip-Douglas and thats what the part that confuses me... MS really thinks the problem is that they released 2 black ops games back to back, and not the fact they launched a horrible game? Kinda Shows how out of touch they are with their fans/gamers that they cant see the real issue

My only thought is possibly a shadow drop at the game awards? I know not all months will be for everyone but with the price increase it just stings a little more

@PsBoxSwitchOwner it doesnt necessarily mean it has to only be MW or BO, it could be any c.o.d in between releases (past examples advanced warfare, ghosts, world at war etc.). Just they will never do one back to back.

On another note I think BF6 and Arc raiders really gave them a run for there money which is great. I have no doubt this year was still profitable but probably not nearly as much past years

@somnambulance I started it and it seems good so far (about 1 hour in). It does not hold your hand which is nice so there is some figuring out on your own and not really a map (which is good or bad depending on preference).

What drew me to it though was I hear it is only like 6 hours long haha. I cant play games that are too long anymore or itll take me months or I just get bored.

@Fiendish-Beaver I have a feeling the majority of these 75 day one releases are very small titles that knew they wouldn't stand a chance unless they took a payment from MS to guarantee some sort of income. Obviously there will always be the great additions, but this is going to make up a huge portion of it

Started dragon age veilguard yesterday. Barely played it so I have no opinion so far, but ive played all of them and love the series so I assume this will be no different.

Prince of persia: the lost crown. I love metroidvanias and since silksong just wasn't working for me I needed to find a new fix. I've heard great things about it so was happy when I heard it was coming to gamepass.

I should note silksong seems to be a great game and i may go back. Just a little too frustrating for me in terms of the platforming and long runbacks to bosses after dying for the twentieth time.

@Chip-Douglas thanks man, yeah mine seems to be working now. I was trying to play a bunch of random gamepass games for 15 minutes to get my monthly 8 pack 😅

@fraser sorry side topic...is anyone else having issues with gamepass? Hasn't been working for me all morning. Says there are no games available to download

Listening to feedback and acting on that feedback are two very different things. They haven't done sh*t based on feedback.

I will continue with Wuchang fallen feathers. Great game so far, I think the patches have helped with some of the earlier issues in terms of balance and difficulty.

I messed up and never got around to Stalker 2. Its been on my list for a while but I was waiting for as many patches as possible and now its too late lol. Ill probably buy it before it goes

Nothing for me, maybe my annual 1 week of CoD multiplayer until I throw my control. I've been an ultimate subscriber for years and it comes out of my account monthly so im the sucker who pays full price, but when there is a month with nothing that appeals to me its hard to justify the increase

Started Wuchang Fallen Feathers and the game is actually really good. Visually it is incredible, but gameplay also feels great. I know they've patched it a few times with some much needed QoL improvements (which is why I usually wait a few months for some games now) but so far from what ive played it is fun. Also very tempted to get arc raiders, but it is hard for me to play multiple games at once when my time is already limited.

You know what else brings people together? Blasting noobs in the face with the shotty..

Or camo slicing with the sword while you buddy carries the flag

I had to shelve Silksong for now. I am a huge fan of hollow knight and I love the world, art style, characters, and metroidvanias. But after about 20 hours I feel like the game just wants to frustrate the player to the point it is no longer enjoyable. The long run backs to bosses, frustrating platforming, currency system to pay for benches and everything in between. Maybe ill try again after stepping away for a bit but for now I started ninja gaiden 4 and am having a much more enjoyable time. So ill try to finish that over the next few days.

Im still working through silksong. Great game, definitely a little more difficult then the first and it took me a while to understand the whole crest system and how to :build: your character to fit your play style. But great fun.

Ill also be hopping on keeper to stroll through that on the side
