Re: Xbox's Four Priorities Detailed By Asha Sharma After Major 'Reset'

@Fiendish-Beaver its from an old movie called "Tommy Boy" with comedy actors Chris Farley and David Spade. They did a few movies together (Black Sheep is another one) that were hilarious for their time, not sure they still hold up as good today. Unfortunately Chris Farley passed away some time ago but he was also on Saturday Night Live

Re: Xbox Game Pass Reportedly Drops To 30M Subscribers, But Has 'Started To Grow Again'

@Mr-Cage I think the fact MS forces everyone to have some form of gamepass on xbox if you want any sort of online functionality. Since they basically changed the name xbox live to gamepass to inflate numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of xbox users out there have it. Plus there are people that still just have Xbox Ones (never upgraded to xbox series) who also have it.

Ill be finishing up Resident Evil Village. Started it a few days ago and from what I can tell im already about 2/3 done, which is perfect. I prefer the shorter titles with around 10-20 hour playthroughs so I dont get bored and can move onto the next. Great game though, recommend if you havent played it yet.

Just finished Prince of Persia and the Lost Crown yesterday. Nearly 100% complete but didnt grab the last couple collectibles because I was over it.

Thinking between Resident Evil Village or Ninja Gaiden 4. Leaning more towards RE Village because ive played all the others and want to play it before I start Requiem.

Re: Xbox Creates New 'Exclusive' Label For Eligible Games On Console

@Fiendish-Beaver I never really think of Gears as live service. I think live service when I hear Fortnite, marathon, overwatch, Diablo etc. Gears is a single/co op campaign with competitive multiplayer attached. I think of live service as games that will be heavily supported for 20+ years (or some very long amount).

But I agree forza horizon should be multiplat and they really should have U turned fable, halo, and never said State of Decay was going multiplat. It just shows they still have no idea what they are doing. 2 games are going to do absolutely nothing. This gen is set in stone in my opinion and gears is not going to make $600 dollar consoles fly off the shelves. Anyone who was interested in gears already has an xbox and likely already subscribed. So this will do nothing really and then theyll complain we didn't support it and it didn't meet expectations.

I should be able to finish Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown this weekend. What a great game. I might be a little biased because I'm a huge metroidvania fan but this is one of the better ones I've played in a few years (even suprassing Silksong). Combat is fast, fun, and challenging.

Platforming is difficult but not overly where you want to throw your controller. That was one of my biggest gripes with silksong, platforming that almost seemed unfair.

Bosses are unique and varied, each one having a set of moves you must learn in order to survive. They also will have multiple phases, with each phase adding something new to the mix.

And lastly a great world design, with each section of the map connecting to multiple other sections. Also lots of secrets and optinional bosses to bump into as you explore.

Played a little forza this week. I need to accept the fact car games are just not my thing. I want to like them, and the first 8 or 9 races are always great. But after race 15, 16, etc I get bored. I've played every forza hoping for a different result, but they all go this way.

I started prince of Persia the lost crown which seems good. Will probably buy Mina the Hollower since I have $20 in rewards i can cash out

Re: Talking Point: Do You Think We'll See PS6 & Project Helix In Action This Summer?

FatGuyInLilCoat

@Fiendish-Beaver agreed. I dont think they will be hyping up something they are so unsure of themselves. With this change in leadership (and apparently direction of the xbox brand in general), i dont think other than a mere mention of it still being in the works is realistic. But I could be wrong and they could go all out with it this summer. There are still just so many questions about store fronts, cost, and exclusivity, that they must work out in order to have people even want it.

Started Ninja Gaiden 4 this week. Platinum Games always has nailed down action games with combat that looks crazy but still makes sense and is fluid. I loved the Bayonetta games back in the day (only played 1 and 2).

Even though its not really my thing or genre, I downloaded Mixtape to see what all the 10/10s are about. Looking forward to it.

Re: What's In The Box? Kojima Meets Asha Sharma And Receives Mysterious Xbox Gift

@Nakatomi_Uk ive been saying for a while the opposite of what many people on this site have been saying. They all say "Phil's hands were tied...he is forced to do this...etc".

You dont become the Head CEO with millions in salary and then have zero say what goes down. These were his decisions (well him and Bond). The latest news sort of proves i might be right when Asha comes in and basically starts reversing all his doings.

Phil is a gamer first so he wants everyone to be able to play everything and I get it...but unfortunately in the console space that just doesnt work, as we see Nintendo and Sony are not doing the same for good reason. Games are the selling points of consoles.

I will be continuing Doom the dark ages (fantastic so far) and Marathon runs (solo). Initially I thought they didn't have a dedicated solos mode but turns out they do, so that helps me at least cause I dont want to keep dodging teams of 3. Also in the game you can switch to 'console only' so you aren't playing against PC if you dont want to. I know some dont care about that but ive lost some reflexes over the years and need all the help I can get..
