if i was MS and i lost to the CMA i would tell them to F off and just not sell me ***** there, then once i got activision id flip sony off by making that third cod a remake and then make COD PC and XBOX exclusive whether its timed or full but id be very spiteful to both the CMA and SONY.....
@Grumblevolcano thats a likely course of action but that would totally hurt the xbox brand, more likely think they will just make the game for the xbox one, do a small tweak to get the game 60fps and call it a day, personally thats what i would do i wouldnt focus my money on the weaker system thats never gonna showcase my work, id make it playable enjoyable but i wouldnt be going crazy to try and squeeze the best out of it....
@UndyingInsurgent95 its not about its power its about its LACK of power compared to Series X and PS5 its significantly gimped in comparison and the One X is actually more powerful in a few ways over Series S... they essentially have to make the series X game then go into it and downgrade tweak and optimize ALOT to get it running well on series S it does have like less then half the graphical power of the series x and ps5.. series x has 52 CU cores running at 1.85ghz 12 tflops Series S has 20 cores running at 1.56ghz 4tflops One X had 40 cores running at 1.15ghz but had 6tflops
point is graphically its not much better the One X the cpu is better ssd is better but on the graphics side its seriously gimped.......thats why developers seem to hate it, its essentially making a game for a weak ass system...
The series S is a turd and as i said a two years ago it will hold develment back... dont be surpised if series S starts to just be xbox one games with small upgrades....been saying for a while the xbox one X was a more powerful system minus the SSD....
why do all the good reviews still have alot of negative crap in them, seems to me like the game is at best a 7 outta 10 but more like a 6 or a 5 based on even the good reviews... the good ones seem to give the game much slack;

30fps is fine for certain games, anything slower paced its fine for, the new golf game runs at 30 in graphic mode and 60 in performance and personally run it in graphic mode....their is no need in that game for 60 and the graphical increase is worth it.... but something like forza or a fighting game cod or anything like them needs 60fps min.....
@UltimateOtaku91 if you have ultimate fifa 23 would be on gamepass in about 8 months or so.... technically you bought a future gamepass game....only game i bought cause of gamepass was Forza 6 but thats right before it was taken off due to i bought addons so i wanted the game to keep playing time to time..

@Sol76 isnt worth their investment, your talking thousands upon thousands to renew licenses for just Ferrari nevemind the others it was reported somewhere way back in 2012 or 13 that a lamborgini license cost sony nearly 20k for just 1 of their cars to have damage done to it in game... the licenses are crazy they say everrything fom whether dmg can be shown on their car to how fast it will be to even banned colors and so on... the more prestige the car maker the more restrictions they want it seems from that article if i can find it i will....

Ghostwire wasnt a bad game but its by no means a must own....its not a skyrim or any other game that epic and worth a replay....hell its overall critic response was like a7 outa 10... not that, that determines if a game is good or not but my time with it was ok and fun till it wasnt....game kinda ran out of steam forr me and i never finished it.

@Phantasystar77 realize they are not the same game, reason Nintendo is getting online seems to be because they are adding it themselves(nintendo) they arent releasing the game as a seperate app it will be part of the N64 emulation lineup....which has you guessed it online play.....you can basically play any of the oldschool games online... even for the NES...so from what i can tell and admittidly its limited but seems the only reason switch is getting online for this game is cause it being added to the N64 lineup and the emulation app does the online handling.
no online no play....unless its a 100% remake ill pass on it the multiplayer is all i every played in the dorms.... its about the only feature i wanted. and i wont spend money on games on my switch unless made by nintendo or cant get anywhere else... splatoon 3 comes to mind.
if i was MS rright now i would call Nintendo up and say hey would you like CoD on the switch with exclusive content , then never make one for the playstation again....but then again im the Burn the damn bridge type of person
@Royalblues while i would agree about the hardware agnostic, the problem is data caps....here in the us most of us have them, and comcast one of the biggest providers is adding a 350gb data cap at the end of this year(was supposed to be here in 2020 but covid delayed that for them thankfully)but data caps is the biggest hinderence to game and basically any streaming...my last 3 months of usage without game streaming is 552gb, 694gb, 487gb thats my last 3 months of data usage, with that said comcast data cap is gonna cost me 15$ more to get around caps at the end of the year.
@Dezzy70 you say the lead is growing but the xbox outsold the ps5 again last month worldwide which would seem to say your wrong been that way since nealy april... and in japan they have outsold the ps5 2-1 some weeks
@GuyinPA75 while i agree the Series S is a s***box, if it wasnt for the SSD the One X is would be a better system...hell most games play and or look better on the one X over the Series S... but i digress those will defend it cause it what they got, and most wont talk ***** about what they have unless they truly hate it....but i dont agree that it holds anything back... if you look at pc gaming they make a game for multitude of hardware for this they just got to make it for 2 systems... my point is i think alot of the time when the Series S version is lacking its cause either they didnt put the time into that, or its cause its running the One S version and not the optimized One X or a Series vesion.....the system is gimped and spec wise the One X is arguably more poweful in many ways......which is why MS stop selling the One X a YEAR before the Series went on sale who would buy a Series S when the One X was outperforming it at launch....one x would have need a price drop as well making even more atractive.
@SpacemanJupiter my first playstation was the 3 and it was cuase of some of the esclusive deals they had at the time, i only got the ps4 cause of the cod timed exclusive *****.. but overall i hate ps gamers for a few reasons, mainly their mics suck... nobody on the PlayStation mutes their mics, to many kids im 40 i dont wanna hear a 13 yr old cussing and calling me trash even if i killed more and did more damage in the game....and lastly while it has improved their online service is not as good as xbox, from chat to friends list to everything. these are obviously my opinions about how i feel about it....
if i was MS i would be a ass, i would as soon as this is pushed through make EVERYTHING exclusive to PC and xbox and tell sony to pound salt... id do it to spite them hell id go one step further and put all activisions games on everything EXCEPT sonys systems, id go put it on gamepass, switch, steamdeck, steam, googles game streaming , i mean everything except sony hardware... But thats just me, id go for the jugular, and make it clear you will never play a activision game on sony hardware....maybe go as far as to make sure they never see a bethesda game either. then if they pissed me off enough id go and try to buy ea or ubisoft.... not like sony has the money to do anything that big...
@Broosh ive played much more of the game now and yea i saw one section so far that had a dip and the dip was kinda big but it was a pretty intense fight but thats been it almost done with it actually so yea not sure what all the hubub was about one scene is not enough to make a huge deal over in my book maybe .5 down on the scale cause of it at most.
@Kezelpaso its not it has the same power, just now more overhead, adding a stick of ram is INCREASING its power and performance.... your phyiscally making it more powerful, this is not, this is optimizing the overhead to give the devs more rersources they can use... it increased nothing......i know its a sammantics game but wording matters and NO THE SERIES S is NOT more powerful now then it was at launch....no matte how you wanna try and say it the system is a the weakest link and unless they do a revision they cant increase its power just make the os and eveyrthing more streamlined and thus giving devs overhead to work with....

@Blessed_Koz Witcher 3 is a great example, runs on One X at 60fps 4k series S 30fps and 1080p; point is Series S is gimped and if the game isnt made for it, instead of running the enhanced One X version it will run the One S version... making the One x a better system IMO.... especially mine as i upgrade to SSD on my One X either way they are both my backup systems on other tvs in the house...series X since day 1......
90% of people will always defend their purchase, so point im making is few who own just a Series S will say they arent happy with it, seen it before people will defend the decision to get the S as they wont admit the S is a crap system for this gen, lack of storage space, no disc drive, no 4k with 120fps no 4k gaming...its a gimped gaming system, and as a owner of both i can tell you the Series S isnt much better then a One X which i also have... outside of load times(which my one X is almost as fast upgraded drive to a SSD a while ago) the Series S isnt better then a One X for the most part... hell some games actually look and run better on a One X.. if the game isnt a x/s game they generally run better on One X then series S...
the headline here is technically wrong... should read Series S gets more mem headroom should increase performance....cause the Series S isnt getting faster, more powerful, or any other terms that mean better... all those would mean the system is getting a physical upgrade.. not just more memory headroom through optimization to the dev kit...
@uptownsoul i see one of two way this has happened either as you suggest they freed up OS mem space(which is slower physically and cannot match the speed of the other memorry everr) or and what im hoping is they optimized something that was using the other memory(i have no clue what) but that seems like the only way devs would be able to boost system performance to me..
@themightyant only two shooters may be able to rival call of duty not named halo or destiny(assuming you wanna say those compete) Medal of Honor(if they decided to give it some real chops and not throw have dice do it but maybe respawn, and give it sequels that are solid and even then it will take years... and the only real game is Battlefield but EA needs to kill off Dice as personally i think their style for the game sucks.....also hate the engine they use for those game frostbite engine kinda sucks, cant name a game that was made on it thats actually good...
personally hope evey game at 70$ price point bombs and the developer realize they are pushing the price point to far... personally i havent bnought Ubi game at release since R6S but i own most of their games 3 months after launch they drop to like half price....hell if you wait long enough you can get them next to nothing brand new at walmart watchdogs Legion was 9.99 for the xbox saw that today... personally i dont think Ubi games are worth a day 1 purchase but thats my own opinion...
@void5400 i kinda agree, but only due to price on expandable memory... the memory card is a much nicer way of doing it expecially if you wanna bring your games to a friends or family members house... i say this as im sitting her at my fatherrs for the 4th brought my memory expansion to his house plugged it in his series x and now me and family are all playing my games without waiting on downloads or having to open a system up to swap memory...but outside this very niche thing the price is just way to much for it..

@Broosh not sue where the problem is, runs fine with ray tracing on and vrr on, on my series x on a C1 personally this game doesnt need 120fps so i prefer the ray tracing....not noticing many if any huge framerate dips...and normally i can see them...

to those talking about Sniper Elite 5 selling way more on ps5, well seems about right consideing Elite 4 sold 2-3 times as much on ps and that wasnt a day 1 release on gamepass yet it still sold more then 2-1 on ps and was 80% of all physical sales were on ps....cant blame that on gamepass... Xbox users dont buy physical as much as ps users....also they announced elite 5 day 1 gamepass, so why in the hell would you buy a game you know is coming to gamepass.... ie last year i bought mlb the show this year i did not, cause i knew it was coming to gamepass....so i spent some money on stubs 1st time i ever spent money on stubs but cause the game was free i didnt care.
@PhhhCough my One X ran as good as the Series S, once i did the SSD upgrade to the HDD... its only really missing ray tracing dolby vision, 120hz for 4k, There is a reason why MS stop selling the One X before the Launch of the Series S mainly it more powerful then the S in the graphic department... in most games the One X holds better framerates and at a high res then the Series S.... i have a series X on my LG C1 and the One X is on my Sony 1080p tv now the series S i returned as it was a waste of space for me as the One X did the same thing but better(has a drive and plays better on a 1080p tv and can do 120hz on the 1080p tv)

@Phantasystar77 realize they are not the same game, reason Nintendo is getting online seems to be because they are adding it themselves(nintendo) they arent releasing the game as a seperate app it will be part of the N64 emulation lineup....which has you guessed it online play.....you can basically play any of the oldschool games online... even for the NES...so from what i can tell and admittidly its limited but seems the only reason switch is getting online for this game is cause it being added to the N64 lineup and the emulation app does the online handling.

no online no play....unless its a 100% remake ill pass on it the multiplayer is all i every played in the dorms.... its about the only feature i wanted. and i wont spend money on games on my switch unless made by nintendo or cant get anywhere else... splatoon 3 comes to mind.

@Royalblues while i would agree about the hardware agnostic, the problem is data caps....here in the us most of us have them, and comcast one of the biggest providers is adding a 350gb data cap at the end of this year(was supposed to be here in 2020 but covid delayed that for them thankfully)but data caps is the biggest hinderence to game and basically any streaming...my last 3 months of usage without game streaming is 552gb, 694gb, 487gb thats my last 3 months of data usage, with that said comcast data cap is gonna cost me 15$ more to get around caps at the end of the year.

@GuyinPA75 while i agree the Series S is a s***box, if it wasnt for the SSD the One X is would be a better system...hell most games play and or look better on the one X over the Series S... but i digress those will defend it cause it what they got, and most wont talk ***** about what they have unless they truly hate it....but i dont agree that it holds anything back... if you look at pc gaming they make a game for multitude of hardware for this they just got to make it for 2 systems... my point is i think alot of the time when the Series S version is lacking its cause either they didnt put the time into that, or its cause its running the One S version and not the optimized One X or a Series vesion.....the system is gimped and spec wise the One X is arguably more poweful in many ways......which is why MS stop selling the One X a YEAR before the Series went on sale who would buy a Series S when the One X was outperforming it at launch....one x would have need a price drop as well making even more atractive.

@SpacemanJupiter my first playstation was the 3 and it was cuase of some of the esclusive deals they had at the time, i only got the ps4 cause of the cod timed exclusive *****.. but overall i hate ps gamers for a few reasons, mainly their mics suck... nobody on the PlayStation mutes their mics, to many kids im 40 i dont wanna hear a 13 yr old cussing and calling me trash even if i killed more and did more damage in the game....and lastly while it has improved their online service is not as good as xbox, from chat to friends list to everything. these are obviously my opinions about how i feel about it....

if i was MS i would be a ass, i would as soon as this is pushed through make EVERYTHING exclusive to PC and xbox and tell sony to pound salt... id do it to spite them hell id go one step further and put all activisions games on everything EXCEPT sonys systems, id go put it on gamepass, switch, steamdeck, steam, googles game streaming , i mean everything except sony hardware... But thats just me, id go for the jugular, and make it clear you will never play a activision game on sony hardware....maybe go as far as to make sure they never see a bethesda game either. then if they pissed me off enough id go and try to buy ea or ubisoft.... not like sony has the money to do anything that big...

@Broosh ive played much more of the game now and yea i saw one section so far that had a dip and the dip was kinda big but it was a pretty intense fight but thats been it almost done with it actually so yea not sure what all the hubub was about one scene is not enough to make a huge deal over in my book maybe .5 down on the scale cause of it at most.

@Kezelpaso its not it has the same power, just now more overhead, adding a stick of ram is INCREASING its power and performance.... your phyiscally making it more powerful, this is not, this is optimizing the overhead to give the devs more rersources they can use... it increased nothing......i know its a sammantics game but wording matters and NO THE SERIES S is NOT more powerful now then it was at launch....no matte how you wanna try and say it the system is a the weakest link and unless they do a revision they cant increase its power just make the os and eveyrthing more streamlined and thus giving devs overhead to work with....

@Blessed_Koz Witcher 3 is a great example, runs on One X at 60fps 4k series S 30fps and 1080p; point is Series S is gimped and if the game isnt made for it, instead of running the enhanced One X version it will run the One S version... making the One x a better system IMO.... especially mine as i upgrade to SSD on my One X either way they are both my backup systems on other tvs in the house...series X since day 1......

90% of people will always defend their purchase, so point im making is few who own just a Series S will say they arent happy with it, seen it before people will defend the decision to get the S as they wont admit the S is a crap system for this gen, lack of storage space, no disc drive, no 4k with 120fps no 4k gaming...its a gimped gaming system, and as a owner of both i can tell you the Series S isnt much better then a One X which i also have... outside of load times(which my one X is almost as fast upgraded drive to a SSD a while ago) the Series S isnt better then a One X for the most part... hell some games actually look and run better on a One X.. if the game isnt a x/s game they generally run better on One X then series S...

the headline here is technically wrong... should read Series S gets more mem headroom should increase performance....cause the Series S isnt getting faster, more powerful, or any other terms that mean better... all those would mean the system is getting a physical upgrade.. not just more memory headroom through optimization to the dev kit...

@uptownsoul i see one of two way this has happened either as you suggest they freed up OS mem space(which is slower physically and cannot match the speed of the other memorry everr) or and what im hoping is they optimized something that was using the other memory(i have no clue what) but that seems like the only way devs would be able to boost system performance to me..

@themightyant only two shooters may be able to rival call of duty not named halo or destiny(assuming you wanna say those compete) Medal of Honor(if they decided to give it some real chops and not throw have dice do it but maybe respawn, and give it sequels that are solid and even then it will take years... and the only real game is Battlefield but EA needs to kill off Dice as personally i think their style for the game sucks.....also hate the engine they use for those game frostbite engine kinda sucks, cant name a game that was made on it thats actually good...

personally hope evey game at 70$ price point bombs and the developer realize they are pushing the price point to far... personally i havent bnought Ubi game at release since R6S but i own most of their games 3 months after launch they drop to like half price....hell if you wait long enough you can get them next to nothing brand new at walmart watchdogs Legion was 9.99 for the xbox saw that today... personally i dont think Ubi games are worth a day 1 purchase but thats my own opinion...

@void5400 i kinda agree, but only due to price on expandable memory... the memory card is a much nicer way of doing it expecially if you wanna bring your games to a friends or family members house... i say this as im sitting her at my fatherrs for the 4th brought my memory expansion to his house plugged it in his series x and now me and family are all playing my games without waiting on downloads or having to open a system up to swap memory...but outside this very niche thing the price is just way to much for it..

@Broosh not sue where the problem is, runs fine with ray tracing on and vrr on, on my series x on a C1 personally this game doesnt need 120fps so i prefer the ray tracing....not noticing many if any huge framerate dips...and normally i can see them...

to those talking about Sniper Elite 5 selling way more on ps5, well seems about right consideing Elite 4 sold 2-3 times as much on ps and that wasnt a day 1 release on gamepass yet it still sold more then 2-1 on ps and was 80% of all physical sales were on ps....cant blame that on gamepass... Xbox users dont buy physical as much as ps users....also they announced elite 5 day 1 gamepass, so why in the hell would you buy a game you know is coming to gamepass.... ie last year i bought mlb the show this year i did not, cause i knew it was coming to gamepass....so i spent some money on stubs 1st time i ever spent money on stubs but cause the game was free i didnt care.

@PhhhCough my One X ran as good as the Series S, once i did the SSD upgrade to the HDD... its only really missing ray tracing dolby vision, 120hz for 4k, There is a reason why MS stop selling the One X before the Launch of the Series S mainly it more powerful then the S in the graphic department... in most games the One X holds better framerates and at a high res then the Series S.... i have a series X on my LG C1 and the One X is on my Sony 1080p tv now the series S i returned as it was a waste of space for me as the One X did the same thing but better(has a drive and plays better on a 1080p tv and can do 120hz on the 1080p tv)
