Man, I LOVE what Xbox is doing. Making the transition to the next console as smooth as possible, and I won't lose all the games I've purchased and put a lot of time into. That payment plan for the series X is interesting, I'll have to look into that when the price is revealed.
I just love that they're are being open and listening to all the feedback from the Xbox One early days. The players and the games are coming first, and they have completely won me over.
Gears 5 multiplayer and have just started playing Anthem. I have been wanting to give it a try for myself. I have been playing solo, but so far it's pretty fun. The game looks really great, and I love the design of the world. The gameplay is also really fun, albeit a tad clunky at times. So far so good. Have a great weekend everyone.
@Odium yeah I was really let down with the campaign after that amazing teaser with Chief in the robes walking through the desert. The multiplayer is very fun, and I still play it to this day. I just hope Infinite is a return to form for the single player.
Gears 5 and Halo 5 multiplayer. I've also started playing Final Fantasy 15 on GamePass. I'm on chapter 3, and it's an interesting game so far. I like the characters a lot, but the combat is a little clunky and the story isn't really there. I'll keep on playing though. I have never really played much of the series before, and now that they're all coming to GamePass I'd like to give them all a try at least. Have a great weekend everyone!
Been going through the Gears of War series again with a friend who's playing some of them for the first time. We just finished replaying 4 and 5, so now it's back to the beginning with Gears of War ultimate edition! Besides that, it'll be the Master Chief Collection. Have a great weekend everyone!
Hard to answer because so many of my picks are on GamePass, but I guess I'll go with Lost Odyssey. I know it's been free before, but I always miss it. That's a game I've wanted to get into for a long time.
I finally bought myself an external hard drive for my 500gb Xbox One S, and can re download a lot of old games, and some new ones from GamePass. I'll be continuing to play Gears 5 multiplayer, but looking forward to replaying Halo Reach on the MCC. Will probably also continue playing through Mass effect 2 for the first time.
@Vincent294 Man, I was really looking forward to that game, I still am, but it's just been so long since the last bit of news. I don't think the game is coming out any time soon.
Awesome, been waiting for all these final fantasy games to finally hit gamepass. I just played through Final Fantasy 7 remake, and have been itching to go through through the series and play the ones I missed, which is pretty much all of them lol. Can't wait !
Been playing a lot of Modern Warfare and Gears 5 multiplayer lately. As for single player games, I just downloaded Nier Automata on Gamepass, so looking forward to starting that. Have a great and safe weekend everyone!
This is great news. I was about to buy this game recently, but it being such a massive game, I didn't think i'd be able to invest enough time in it to be worth a purchase. I'll definitely give this a try on gamepass, and won't feel any guilt if I don't have the time for it.
Halo 3 no question. One of the best games I've ever played. Packed full of so much content too. I have some great memories playing that game, and still do from time to time.
@ShaiHulud I agree. I love the game, but the shaky cam does give me headaches after playing the recent ones. Also, the new ones have a much more mature approach to the story telling and characters I really appreciate.
Just finished Jedi Fallen Order. I really enjoyed my time with it, and the ending was great. Just what I was looking for in a single player star wars game, so looking forward to what comes next. I'd like to finish up the Modern Warfare campaign before jumping into multiplayer. Maybe I'll also jump back into Gears 5 multiplayer again too. Might also give Halo Wars a shot to get ready for Gears Tactics soon.
@KelticDevil I completely agree with you. Especially on getting back to calling the series Gears of War. That also really bothers me lol. I've been playing Gears of War since the very beginning, and I think 4 and 5 are really great games. I'm happy it's moving past the dude bro thing, and getting into more mature story telling.
Looking to get back into Jedi Fallen Order. Maybe a little more than halfway through? I got stuck on a level that glitched out, so I just took a break from it. I also just got Mass Effect 2 and 3 from the Spring sale. I somehow missed those the first time around, so really looking forward to getting into those. Finally, hoping to finish off the Modern Warfare campaign. I like to finish the campaigns before jumping into the multiplayer. I think I'm pretty close to finishing that one up. Have a great and safe weekend everyone!
Dragon Ball Kakarot? Red Dead 2? I can't decide right now, but it will most likely be one of those. Pretty strong sale all around, even the 360 games. Maybe I'll finally play Mass Effect 2. Lost Odyssey also intrigues me too, so if anyone has played it before would love to hear. Have a great and safe weekend everyone.
Finally may start Modern Warfare. Really looking forward to getting into this one. Also, making some progress on Jedi Fallen Order. I'm really having a good time with this one so far. The gameplay, even though it's nothing new, is really fun, and the characters are great too. When I'm not playing those two, I'll be getting a few rounds of Gears 5 multiplayer in. Have a good weekend everybody, and stay safe.
@Gamer83 I agree. I love the series, and have really enjoyed 4 and 5. I don't mind at all if they want to play it a little safe at times and just stick with a classic Gears feel. You're right, it definitely has made the jump to Xbox One much cleaner than Halo. Hopefully the next one can get that series back on track.
I haven't been playing this game as much as i'd like to the last few months, but looks like i've been missing out. This looks really great. Canals has always been my favorite map, glad to see it return.

No Halo 3 or any Gears of War games?

Awesome! I've been waiting for this. Thanks for the heads up. I have all the previous Halo art books, and they do not disappoint.

@swagbag713 I agree. I think it was the best looking game showed, and the only one of the bunch I'm looking forward to.
Re: Rumour: Microsoft Planning A 'Big Blowout' Of First-Party Xbox Series X Games In July
Since Halo is already accounted for, and we just got a new Gears game, the game I want to see the most is a new Fable.

@ShaiHulud The original Gears of War is still so great. Probably my favorite game of all time. It still looks pretty good visually too

Blue Dragon a great hidden gem, and for a great price too

Dragon Ball Kakarot? Red Dead 2? I can't decide right now, but it will most likely be one of those. Pretty strong sale all around, even the 360 games. Maybe I'll finally play Mass Effect 2.
