40+ Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (October 1)

Oh cool one new game I want to play for just an extra $120/year.

Hogwarts Legacy is really good. ⚡

The truth is that right now the available game library is impressive, light years ahead of what other subscriptions can offer, I won't argue with that.

But they need to do something about the PC versions. Ubisoft doesn't even add Xbox achievements to the games, and that's unacceptable. Now more than ever, we have the right to complain and demand that they take care of these details.

I've bought it close to release to be honest. One of the two or three games I didn't mind paying top dollar for. Totally worth it imo.

So for someone who doesn't know about Ubi Classics, are these 40 games what that looks like (minus Hogwarts ofc)? Is Ubi Classics updated with Ubi games at regular intervals like EA Play? New games a year later?

All these games are available, but for a significant cost jump. I’m frustrated with Microsoft.

@Lup same, had lots of fun with it. Even though closer to an end felt a little tired wiping out all those Merlin's riddles across the map.

@Tomato_Goose it has the worst open world of any game I've ever played lol. Merlin doesn't think very highly of Hogwart's students.

@AverageJoseph quite generic in terms of open world, still pretty solid speaking of atmosphere and that one magical feeling.

@Medic_alert admittedly, I 100% the game in spite of myself. I'm not proud.

I mistakenly bought MS Rewards gift card for a pre order, having never done that before, and not realizing it would expire before the preorder was actually charged in June.

So I bought Hogwarts full price at launch and I absolutely loved the castle and Hogsmeade, but hated so much of the rest of it lol. Such a weird experience for me, but I felt I should get my Rewards points worth so I did it all.

I hope for the next game they refine the open world, or scrap it entirely, add quiditch, and either make it entirely action adventure, or make the rpg systems more meaningful and robust.

@Tomato_Goose yes, I don't want to be too harsh on it. I did like a lot about it, but it really missed the mark for me in some key areas. Not just open world, but the immersion into the student experience, and meaningful narrative choices was really lacking for me.

@RBRTMNZ they are only adding one extra game a year? thats odd outer worlds 2, ninja gaidan 4 and keeper are day one in oct alone

Will Hogwarts be on Premium tier GP? I'm probably going to downgrade from Ultimate in Dec when my sub runs out. Just spent over a month playing only AC Valhalla so Ultimate's not really making sense for me anymore

Well you’re defending Microsoft so literally by the definition of the word you’re being defensive. Furthermore, you’re coming in with in accurate information so you’re not pointing out facts. This is an article about the first October drop which does not include those games you listed and with the additional context that this “big” addition was supposed to be the start of justifying the new cost, which it absolutely does not justify, makes your comment, at least to me, come across as defensive.
