Re: Among Us VR Devs Jokingly Ask If You Want An 'Xbox Moda' Version

As pretty much everyone else said, they should just let you use this party headsets; although, idk why this couldn’t work on series s. Obviously it would be a lesser experience but after having played vr with the Nintendo switch in breath of the wild, I would not mind if they bumped the resolution down a bunch to keep the framerate high. Most people wouldn’t care, but as someone who can’t afford a series x and would like to try out vr, I would at least like to be able to try it on my system.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Series S Owners, How's Your Storage Looking In 2022?

bobzbulder

I just have an external drive that I put an game that doesn’t require the faster storage. To find out if it requires the faster storage you just try and move it and if it says something then it won’t play off of it, but any pre series games work and surprisingly a few series enabled games work as well. For example master chief collection works off of the external drive

Re: Hypercharged: Unboxed Goes Viral As Fans Demand An Xbox Version

bobzbulder

It’s pretty fun, the only problem is that no one plays it online. Of course that could just be a switch issue. The bots were a nice addition but I just don’t find that alone enough to play without other people. There is single player but that gets too hard in some of the maps. I’m also not that good.

Re: Hardware Review: PowerA Duo Charging Station For Xbox Series X|S

Why didn’t Xbox just do what 8bitdo did with their switch controller? Removable, rechargeable battery that goes into a slot that can fit AAs. I feel like the worst part of it is how they still charge so 50-60$ for the controllers. Don’t say quality control cause my series s controller’s right stick started drifting after about two months of use. Granted I was playing halo infinite a lot and half of that game is the melee attack, but the controller should be able to handle being used.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Enjoying Guardians Of The Galaxy On Xbox Game Pass?

I haven’t played much more than an hour of this game but I found it pretty boring. The gameplay is pretty slow and the combat isn’t that great. It all feels the same. The only interesting thing is the story, but it’s so padded out by the boring gameplay spots that I don’t find it very interesting. Probably just not my type of game, but to me I have so many other games to play that are a lot more fun than this.

Re: Soapbox: Live Service Expectations Are The Issue, Not Halo Infinite

bobzbulder

The problem is that the core gameplay is great, but everything around it is terrible. They just told us how their matchmaking works and it’s so bad. Here’s the article https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/closer-look-halo-infinites-ranked-experience

The rundown is that there is a background matchmaking system that applies to everything (including ranked). This is largely dependent upon kills and once it gets high enough it just doesn’t go down. So if you played 30 matches of bot boot camp and did really well, then the game thinks that you’re a pro player and then you get matched with good players even in ranked. This will override your visible rank. On top of this at certain levels you will get matched with worse players because you should be able to care them according to the game. This is a huge, fundamental problem with the multiplayer. They are going to have to rework the whole system because of how bad it is.

Re: 8Bitdo 'Ultimate' Xbox Controller Revealed Featuring Elite-Style Extras

bobzbulder

It looks fine and since it’s 8bitdo I’m sure that it’ll be great; however, why in the world is this wired? The switch controller that they make is wired and it’s only 5$ extra. Couldn’t they have just made this one wireless and gone for $50. Cause does this even have gyro. From what I can tell it just looks like they have back buttons. Not much else special. Maybe I’m overlooking something.
Also yes, I know about their software, but the switch controller had that too

Re: Halo Infinite Season 1's Paid Cosmetics Could End Up Costing Over $1000 In Total

bobzbulder

I get all of the people brushing this off as “You don’t have to buy them all” and “It’s a first person shooter, why does it matter?” but the audacity of offering a color option for $20 is ridiculous. I think that 343 is doing a great job with this game. I’m enjoying my time with it, but how can anyone justify $20 to make your character’s armor white? That is just stealing money from people and everyone needs to stop making excuses for greedy practices like this.
