Well I managed to blow a few hours by getting caught up in tennis (Miami Open), then set up a new Ipad while simultaneously screwing up a Windows update (by delaying them).

The best moment of irony arrived when I spent even more time trying to apply an expiring Best Buy credit to a cheap game but couldn’t find anything. After midnight had passed I saw that the Nier Replicant remake was on sale, and of course that would have paired well with that now-expired Best Buy reward. I bought it anyway, but proceeded to mentally grumble.

So what did I play today? The game of Life. I’m starting another session tomorrow.

Hogwarts Legacy is the easy day 1 purchase for me!!!

Single player is perfect for me, although local co-op would have been nice. The last time I got this crazy for a game was Dragon Quest XI!

I’m definitely buying Hogwarts day 1, may wait a bit on Starfield. I’ve been waiting for this type of Harry Potter game for a very long time!

This weekend I’ll be playing (reading?) more Disco Elysium, plus Fallout 4.

Well ladies there’s a whole lot of whining in this gaming mosh pit, straighten your knickers and put on your Sunday best, but most of all chill out.

I have a copy of Cyberpunk on ice that I’ll defrost after another patch or two... I’m currently playing Disco Elysium and Fallout 4. And yes, both are fun.

I’ll definitely pick up HFW in the future, after that sees a few patches and price drops.

In the meantime enjoy your games and behave, otherwise it’s no supper and straight to bed!

I’m wary of what is to come but optimistic until proven otherwise lol.

In the meantime I need a remastered Fable 2 GOTY, the current version looks awful on a large TV!

I love Mad Max, it’s the easy #1 game on a short list that I wish would get an immediate sequel.

Interested to play but recently started Fallout 4 GOTY after having it as a dust collector for years — love it!

Looks like I’ll be playing this after another patch or two. And yes, I already picked this up on the cheaps, lol.

Fable 2 looks terrible on XSX and I’ve been really keen on playing it, so make it happen lol.

Someone at Techland must be walking out of the building right now while holding a cardboard box full of their office stuff.

I had a Series S controller that constantly disconnected, so I traded the Xbox in for the amount I originally paid.

I’d go with Psychonauts.

The internet hive mind often screws things up royally, but the pushback against MS in this instance was beautifully correct.

I do think Guardians has a great narrative so it’s understandable that Psychonauts missed in that category. Maybe should have won art direction!

The Home Screen style looks horribly dated and I hate it. Please give us a new look!

I played a chunk of it, liked it, but fun found combat to be really unrewarding. I’ll go back to it someday, but I’m not in a rush.

Mad Max weekend for me. The publicity for the Fury Road car auction pulled me back into the game after a hiatus of a few years. Lots of bone-crunching fun!

Question is whether interest is high enough to provoke an outcry like the one that happened for Horizon.

So far, I’m hearing crickets!

My XSX is in cool down this weekend as I wrap up watching US Open tennis. I’ll resume next week.

Last and not least I must honor the heroes and victims of 9/11. My heart goes out to survivors and their families.

Playing Psychonauts 2 on XSX while trying to convince one of my cats not to stick his paw into my PS5. Also watching the US Open Tennis tournament. Multitasking at it’s finest!
