Two Games Are Available Today Across Various Tiers Of Xbox Game Pass (August 4)

I may play Beast of Reincarnation, but I will have to see. It is currently sat at 73 on Metacritic, which is a little disappointing I guess, although the combat seems to be the highlight. I had hoped it was a 'must play now' title for me, but it seems more like a 'play if you get a chance' type of title with a score such as that. There are many better reviewed titles that have released recently, and I think probabilities are strong that there will be many better reviewed titles releasing later this month and then in August too.

The unfortunate thing about so many decent titles releasing in such a short period of time is that you have only so much time to play them, meaning you have to set priorities, and the lower the review score, the lower down the pecking order a game goes (unless I am already invested in it, in which case I disregard review scores completely). Long and short of it is that unless I have nothing better to play, this game may well pass me by. If Game Pass is your primary place to play games, then this sounds like a decent, if not stellar, offering...

Many of my favourite games are rated 7 or sometimes even lower. I've learnt over the decades that I like a lot of stuff which others don't, and conversely, lots of games given high scores I'm really disappointed in.
Beast of Reincarnation is an appealing enough title that I wish to try it no matter the meta score. I've not much room left on the series X, but I'll probably delete the new Halo to make room for it. Case in point - I'd rather that game had remained in my memory from the release where I loved it. I'm not loving the remake at all, so that gives me room! Theres always a silver lining...

I remember playing Hexen alot with my brother on the N64. I always preferred it over Doom but I think that might be because of the fantasy setting. Will definitely be checking that out.
