Re: Xbox Creates New 'Exclusive' Label For Eligible Games On Console

Shinato2024

@Millionski This is the most profitable generation for PlayStation only because the PS5 and its games are more expensive than PS4 games. However, net profit was better during the PS4 era. Another thing is that PlayStation released very few games from its studios exclusively for the PS5; most were ports from the PS4, and today they are all on PC. The Xbox division was more profitable than PlayStation even before ABK (Absorbing Keynes), I'm talking about net profit, which is what matters in the end. After ABK arrived, it became even more profitable until the pressure of the 30% net profit margin from Microsoft to invest in AI and the increase in hardware component prices. This increase in hardware costs was what ate into profits the most, since Microsoft outsources all console production. For every Series X sold, the loss was $200. The Series S wasn't mentioned, but they said the loss was even greater. Sony produces some PS5 components in-house, which is why it manages to somewhat offset the loss when selling its console.

@Millionski Avowed seems to have done well according to Microsoft's metrics, which don't just include sales, so it got the green light for a sequel. The Outer Worlds 2, which seems to have surpassed the one million sales mark, only didn't sell more because it was released in a complicated month, launching between two colossal titles last year, BF6 and ARC Raiders, which is Microsoft's fault for releasing on such a bad date. And they still have Grounded 2, which even in game preview is doing very well. It was even said by these Rumos people that Obsidian is not at any risk.

Re: Xbox Needs To 'Sweat Every Detail' In Winning Over 'Frustrated' Players, Says Asha Sharma

Shinato2024

So, they'll have to remove Xbox games from PlayStation and make more exclusivity deals. Because that's by far the biggest complaint from these people. I don't mind Xbox games on PlayStation, but there are some people who don't want them on PC either.

Another complaint from these people is being addressed gradually by focusing more on the console, which had been neglected. More frequent updates with real changes to the console's software.

What's missing now is increasing console production and finding a way to lower the price.

If you have any other complaints besides these, please share them.

Re: Talking Point: After Halo: Campaign Evolved, What Do You Want Xbox To Do With The Series?

Shinato2024

A sequel is definitely in order. Everything is ready for an awesome game. A new villain, a new race of ancient aliens, new mysteries to uncover, and a new Cortana. I just hope that this time they manage to do everything right in the development phase and don't have the problems of Infinite, which resulted in a large cut in content. I really liked Infinite, but the open-world part was weak.

Re: Here's A Breakdown Of The New Prices For Xbox Game Pass As Of April 2026

Shinato2024

It turned out great, and anyone who wants COD just needs to farm for about 4 months of rewards to get the vault version at launch.

For those who are afraid of other games being removed on day one, this doesn't even make sense since the service has existed since 2017 and day one arrived in 2018. The problem is that Call of Duty is very much an outlier because it's an expensive game to develop, with a marketing campaign, and it's released every year. Three Call of Duty games must cost the same as the development of GTA 6, just to give you an idea of the values we're talking about.

Re: Call Of Duty Titles Will No Longer Join Xbox Game Pass On Day One

Shinato2024

Call of Duty was way out of the ordinary in terms of development costs; the 2020 version cost $700 million, and those values have been rising year after year, and Call of Duty is an annual franchise. To give you a comparison, GTA 6 reportedly had a development and marketing cost of $3 billion. Three Call of Duty games already surpass that amount if you add marketing and the cost of maintaining online play and updates.

Re: Xbox Boss Wants A 'Chat' With Ex-PlayStation Exec Over Criticisms Of Game Pass

Shinato2024

Finally, someone called this guy for a chat, since this thing has been spouting a bunch of nonsense to himself for a while now, only talking about Xbox, which he's never worked for, instead of talking about Sony, which he knows very well and even has contacts there. I hope that after this, he'll stop talking about Xbox and things he doesn't know and start talking about Sony, which he knows so well.

Re: Starfield PS5 Sales Estimates Revealed & Compared To Other Xbox Ports

Shinato2024

This completely unreliable group uses store reviews to estimate game sales figures. Zero credibility. We'll only know the sales figures for Microsoft games on any platform the day Microsoft or the other companies where those games are distributed decide to release them. This group is a scam.

And yes, they themselves said that this is their method; it was so bad that they later deleted it. Great method, right?

Re: Preview: We've Played Forza Horizon 6, And It's Potentially The Best Entry To Date

Shinato2024

I've watched several videos from content creators and I can say that the game is amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. I won't say anything to avoid spoilers for those who don't want to see anything about the game and want to be surprised, but this has everything to be the best open-world racing game in history, I mean the best Forza Horizon, since when it comes to racing games, Forza has no competition. It will also be one of the games with the best graphics of the generation.
