Fable e Forza Horizon 6.I've finished the year and there are still many awesome Xbox games to be released like Gears of War E-Day and the Halo 1 remake.
It's great that they keep adding more games to the cloud, after all, that's the future. Unfortunately, it's not possible to bring them all because that requires agreements with the companies, but Microsoft's ultimate goal is to bring them all by gradually convincing the companies. Microsoft's "play anywhere" proposition is better for the future of gaming. For those still stuck in the 90s and 2000s model, I'm sorry, you're becoming outdated.
@themightyant I think Fable will be released in September, the same month as the first one. Game companies like to do this kind of thing, releasing new games in the same month as the first one.
Use Microsoft's authenticator on your smartphones and rest assured about your account. Having multiple passwords or creating strong passwords is pointless because these things often leak from within the company. When you install Microsoft's authenticator, you'll see how many attempts are made to hack your accounts every day.
While journalists who support Sony fanboys are the ones who choose the Game of the Year, they don't get to choose. They could release the best game in the universe and it wouldn't win. In the case of Xbox, it's not just that they're Sony fanboys; the journalistic class has harbored a hatred for Microsoft for years. So, everything Microsoft does, they criticize.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this game, a game made in Unreal Engine 5 by masters of the engine. PIC could use this game to demonstrate that the problems with UE5 are the developers' fault.
And it's about time for a Gears game; the last one was Gears 5 in 2019 with a short DLC in 2020. Next year will mark 7 years without a new game in the franchise.
The impressive Black Ops 6, released in 2024, is still the 8th best-selling game of the year in November 2025. Black Ops 7, also recently released, is already appearing on the list as the 7th best-selling game of 2025.
I'm eagerly awaiting this show after my more than 500 hours in Starfield, and I still haven't done everything. The game has many awesome side missions besides the incredible faction missions.
The reason for Arkane Austin's closure wasn't Redfall. The reason, as many may not know, was the departure of several developers during Redfall's development. Some left even before the Bethesda acquisition because they didn't want to work on Redfall, which was a Bethesda requirement. The original game was intended to be a "game as a service," but after the Microsoft acquisition, it became a single-player cooperative game. After Redfall's release, the remaining developers lost confidence after receiving so much criticism and even threats. It was then decided to close the studio and send some of the developers to other Bethesda studios.
@Fiendish-Beaver But I'm talking about personal taste, and I'm talking about yours. DF made a technical decision. You only take into account the art direction of a game, which is purely personal taste. DF does a technical analysis taking into account the graphics of a game, which includes aspects like lighting, shadows, textures, etc. In all of that, the top 3 is far superior to Ghost of Yotei, which, by the way, is quite close to the PS5 version of Ghost of Tsushima graphically.
@Fiendish-Beaver You only consider the art direction, but Digital Founder really considers the graphics for this award, such as shadows, lighting, textures, vegetation, object quality, etc. In all of that, Doom easily stands out, as do the other two in the top three. And art direction is purely a matter of personal taste.
@Fiendish-Beaver How long after did you play those Sony games? Because at launch they were full of bugs, and you can easily find information about them online. Some of them still have bugs today.
Congratulations to the Id Tech engine and the incredible team that developed it for winning their second championship. With Indiana Jones last year and now with Doom Dark Age.
@Fiendish-Beaver Graphically, Wolverine isn't impressive; it's far behind the games they won this year and last year. As for games with bugs, Sony games are usually buggy when they come out. The difference is the level of media exposure. Spider-Man 2 was released full of bugs that required many updates to fix, Ghost of Tsushima is still buggy today, Horizon Forbidden West was released with many bugs, The Last of Us Part II was another one that had many bugs when it came out, and there are several other examples. The difference, as I said, is the media exposure to these bugs when it's from their favorite company, because yes, the gaming media has a side built on affective childhood memories. They idolize the PlayStation brand.
@OldGamer999 Yes. For the second year in a row, ID Tech is showing its power. Last year Indiana Jones came in first with Hellblade in second. And next year Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and Gears E-Day are very strong contenders to win.
This game shows how important art direction is in a game and how it can look better than absurd graphics. Graphically, E33 is weak, but it makes up for it with beautiful art direction.
We've never gone this long without a new Gears game; next year will mark six years. This is only possible because Microsoft now has a ton of studios, giving each studio time to develop their game. Until 2018, there were five studios; today there are more than 30 in development alone. Microsoft talks about more than 40 games between its own studios and partners. The downside is that franchises we love will have increasingly longer intervals between their releases. Another example is Forza Horizon, which next year will complete five years without a new game, when before it was every two years. Halo is another game that will complete five years without a new release next year. And now, in 2026, after years, we will again have Halo, Gears, and Forza in a single year, among other surprises, after all, the Xbox brand will be 25 years old in 2026. The Halo franchise will also be 25 years old, and Gears 20 years old.
The Game of the Year award is unnecessary; after all, the voters are a bunch of journalists who don't play at all. What I'm waiting for are the announcements.
@Chip-Douglas The main mission of the game is quite simple and gets better in the final parts; the game truly shines in the various side missions and faction missions. However, I recommend playing the campaign up to the NASA mission to unlock several powers that will greatly improve your gameplay.
@Chip-Douglas Starfield is very good, but you have to know how to play. Over 400 hours and counting. It's truly the game with the most hand-crafted content from Bethesda. The faction missions and various side quests are awesome.
Typical analysis to attract audience. Come see why I gave a bad rating to a good game. The guys who can't even give ratings to games are very shallow analyses. After the purchase by IGN it got worse. Xbox Pure is a small blog that uses these tactics to attract audience. This is not a real Xbox blog, but a blog of haters.

They will probably receive a demo. Unfortunately, there probably won't be a public demo.
As for the release month, I believe it will be in May, the release month of the first Forza game (Forza Motorsport).
