Yesterday, it was announced that Assassin's Creed Unity would be getting a free upgrade for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S along with the PS5, and we mentioned at the time how it probably wouldn't make a huge difference on Xbox.
Unity was already running at 60 frames per-second prior to the announcement (thanks to Xbox's FPS Boost program), and Ubisoft was only promoting this as a 60FPS upgrade — seemingly targeted more at PS5 owners.
Nevertheless, Assassin's Creed Unity is now running at a native 60FPS on Xbox Series X, and it still supports Auto HDR like it did before. The performance appears to be really smooth, but there's confusion over the resolution — Fuzion Xbox Testing suggests it's "seemingly been upgraded to a 4K resolution", while The Games Tester suggests it's still a base 900p resolution but with some upscaling in play.
For what it's worth, the update history on PS5 apparently says it runs at 4K, 60FPS now:
On Xbox Series S, the performance is once again superb at 60FPS, but we don't know for sure what the resolution is right now — we'll have to wait for the likes of Digital Foundry to give us a full analysis.

Alternatively, go and try it for yourself if you already own Unity, or you could wait until to the start of April when the game will be part of Xbox Free Play Days.
