StarCraft, Wolfenstein 3 & Fallout New Vegas Remake Could All Be In The Works Over At Xbox

As we shared earlier today in relation to Developer Direct, well-known Xbox reporter Jez Corden has put out a huge report/predictions piece on the future of Xbox in 2026 and beyond — and it namedrops some absolutely massive releases, even if they're still to be confirmed by their respective Microsoft development teams.

In the extensive Windows Central article, Corden mentions Blizzard working on a third-person StarCraft shooter, MachineGames crafting Wolfenstein 3 to coincide with the upcoming TV show, and Bethesda remaking Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, amongst other bits and pieces that could be in the Xbox pipeline for 2026 and beyond.

As mentioned, this report is kind of a rough overview of what could be coming from Microsoft, but we're going to share a quick quote on each of these projects down below to give you some context on how Corden is reporting on them:

"The headline for Blizzcon 2026 is most likely going to be StarCraft. It was previously reported that StarCraft is getting the third-person shooter treatment, and I confirmed these rumors true via my own sources a while back."

"I've heard that Wolfenstein III is also on the cards to coincide with the upcoming Wolfenstein Amazon TV show."

"We are eventually getting a Fallout 3 remake in the vein of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as well as Fallout New Vegas on top."

Again, this isn't concrete information and all worth taking with a pinch of salt, but it's not the first time we've heard about any of these, and even if just one comes true, it'd make for a pretty huge Xbox release. If all three are in the works, it shows just how much Microsoft has under wraps alongside its already-announced lineup.

Elsewhere in the article, Corden mentions Fallout 5, Project: Mara, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and more, alongside those Xbox Developer Direct predictions we mentioned right at the start. You can check those out down below, and we'll leave the link to the full Windows Central piece underneath as well.

Which of these games would you be most excited to see? Talk to us about these reports & predictions down in the comments.
