How about just create a decent app that I can use to buy games for my Xbox. The PlayStation app is really easy to use and browse.

I think they'll save it for the new model about to be announced at The Game Awards.

UE5 showed incredible potential when that "triangles, triangles, triangles" demo happened. Nothing has come close to that even 3 years into the generation. Disappointing.

That's actually a really strong line up.

I have the Definitive Edition because I loved the first two games on SNES and N64 but I've never really been able to get into it.

@StonyKL I'm absolutely baffled too. The Series X is an incredible machine with an ecosystem and controller that beats PlayStation.

The only thing I notice a LOT is PS5 advertising EVERYWHERE in the UK yet very little Xbox anywhere.

@Fiendish-Beaver It was the last model they made after the 360 'S' I think. It was made to look very similar to the Xbox One as I think they were announced at the same time. The two tone finish and everything.

I had the original, then Elite, then traded for the 360 S. I sold my S to a friend and paid the difference for the 'E'. I wanted the latest model manufactured so that it would last as long as possible and backwards compatibility was nowhere to be seen at the time.

@Mephisto2869 And yet I think it still holds the record for most successful console accessory in history when it was an add-on for the 360. I could be wrong.

Either way, it should have stayed as an optional accessory.

I always avoided Kinect like the plague and can't help but wonder how different last gen would have been with a £399 Xbox One and no Kinect. I know a lot of people who switched from 360 to PS4 because of the price difference and Kinect.

Xbox is still suffering a major hangover from the Xbox One and it's very concerning how far ahead the PS5 is at this point in the current gen.

Sony need to be kept on their toes to avoid the arrogance they had after the PS2 generation.

I sold my white Series S for a decent price on eBay and bought the 1tb carbon black model. It's still a nice machine but I actually miss the 2 tone of the original. The new one is kind of bland. I'd like to see a grey or silver model and for Microsoft to offer more colour varients for both X|S.

I can't get enough of this series. I really hope that Dead Souls is freed from its PS3 prison.

I've always had this in my 'play later' list on Game Pass but have never played it. I don't even think I'm sure what kind of game it is.

Does anyone know if this will include controller battery packs?

I also have a 16tb Seagate HDD attached to my Series X. It's not Xbox branded like some of the smaller ones but this better not stop working.

@Vipor007 I really want a remake of Quake 4. I'd even be happy with an updated port at this point.

It won't happen here obviously but hopefully sometime soon.

And people on Push Square are still begging for Starfield saying that it isn't fair. 🤣

@NintendoByNature The disc tray mechanism was initially very poor. It was literally a grey elastic band and flimsy as hell.

@Sifi The yellow light of death was a big issue but thankfully I was able to return faulty machines because PS3 was easily available compared to the Xbox 360.

The only other issue I had with PlayStation consoles was the shelf life. After 3 years or so they would really start to fail.

I had the Elite and then an S and finally an E so fortunately never experienced it personally.

I did, however, work as a manager at a games retailer before and during the 360's lifetime and I had nothing but trouble. Our demo unit failed over 10 times before the system even launched (the enclosed casing definitely didn't help). I had around an 80% return rate on launch systems and people threatening to punch me when I told them that I wasn't allowed to accept their faulty machines and that they had to go directly to Microsoft for a return/refurbishment.

Not my favourite career highlight.

My bank balance hurts already.

On a separate note, it's amazing how many times my comments on Push Square are removed compared to here or Nintendo Life. I'm constantly removed for "trolling" on Push Square when I mention anything even slightly resembling a negative about PlayStation.

I own all three systems and have no allegiance to any platform over the other. However it seems that over there people can't listen to facts.

I'm assuming that the CMA will block this.

I would have thought that Microsoft would have come up with a solution by now. I suggested some sort of trade in system of discs for codes to Phil on Twitter ages ago but he never got back to me.

I can imagine this happening with the already leaked Series X digital edition.

Hi-Fi Rush is still my favourite game of the year. Absolutely loved every minute of it and hope there's a sequel in the works.

R* really have become just like Valve. Barely develop games and milk fans through online purchases and subscriptions.

I would prefer it if games that leave Game Pass were just deleted or were shown in a separate tab. Showing disc games is useful but again it would be easier if it was another tab or filter option on the main list.

Seems like they've half arsed the implementation of this.

I hope that any design of a digital only Series X doesn't end up being a cylinder. Awkward looking and unnecessary.

People who jump on Phil are usually people who want every Xbox first party game to be on PlayStation with nothing in return.

Phil is giving gamers far more choice on where to play Xbox games compared to Sony. But that doesn't mean they need to give away the farm.

The Xbox HDMI adapter from Kaico works amazingly well for around £50. I've been using mine for well over 2 years and it's brilliant. Available easily on Amazon too.

@JakobU Well said Sir. I'm currently playing through Shadow Warrior. Decent enough and I know I don't have to give up my wife and pets for it.

I've really grown tired of games that demand hundreds of hours of gameplay as I've got older. Give me a nice, linear 10 hour game and I'm happy.

Every positive about this controller is cancelled out by a couple of negatives.

Something really needs to be done about game preservation.

How about you play some games instead of whining about a UI that works perfectly. If I want to play a game I either put in a disc and move my control stick to the right to select it OR move the control stick up to select a game from my library.

@Mauzuri I like the Switch dashboard as it's almost overly basic. Perfect for anyone who uses it in handheld mode. The PS5 dashboard is good but there are silly little things that annoy me. I also have no idea why they haven't introduced folders when it was there on PS4.

This new Xbox dashboard is the best of the 3 though in my opinion.

Mine arrived today and I have to say that I really like it. I guess if you use more than the home screen it's probably less fun to use but it's pretty perfect for me.
