Seeing as how we'll never get this via backwards compatibility, I'm hoping that someone has the common sense to do a full HD remaster. Imagine this in 4k at 120fps with a Bacon Double Cheeseburger on the side. Xbox have been crying out for exclusives and this could be a serious game changer this gen.

People go way too far over things like this. It's a game. If you don't like it or you think it isn't good enough then don't buy it. Devs and others getting abuse is completely unnecessary.

I bought an original Xbox as my 2nd system alongside my GameCube and it blew me away. It was such an absolute game changer.

With China just reopening a ridiculous amount of coal fired power stations to pump crap into the atmosphere, I think this PR stunt is a tiny drop in the ocean when it comes to destroying our planet.

Got this physically today and find it pretty shocking that roughly 12GB of 114GB is actually on the disc. It's an awful practice that is clearly designed to force people towards digital distribution rather than owning a game you can play out of the box.

I have no issue with any studio purchases but this was a stupid thing to say. Maybe the Twitter account is run by a PlayStation fan.

I loved the original games but I had them on the original Xbox and they were already far superior versions compared to the PS2. I'm quite hopeful that these will turn out well and I'll definitely pick them up at some point.

I loved the original Xbox. Like others have said, it was a perfect companion console for my Nintendo systems. There's an interesting documentary on YouTube that's worth a watch. There used to be a longer version but I can't seem to find it now.

I never understood why the DOA games weren't some of the first games made backwards compatible. The games were key launch titles for both the original Xbox/360 and were huge showcases for the power of the systems.

I can wait for this on Xbox. Any potential sequel will likely be an Xbox console exclusive so I'd rather have both games on the same system.

This should have been an Xbox Series exclusive. I'm fairly sure that accommodating Xbox One consoles has slowed development and left us with a less impressive overall experience.

I was massively impressed by the overall strategy. Pretty much every game day one on GamePass is a powerful message. I wish I'd seen more gameplay at this point though.

Nintendo and Xbox delivered plenty of good things without either of them blowing my mind. E3 is only as good as the games on show and I think both Xbox and Nintendo have smash hit games that aren't quite ready to be shown fully yet. Next E3 should be amazing.

Has this been confirmed yet??? I spent most of lockdown designing my own fancy box art to make my 360 and OG Xbox games look like Xbox One games on my shelf. This change would really **** me off regardless of the layout.

Fastest growing region? That's not that too tricky coming off a generation that used to sell double digits in Japan per week.

As a multiplatform gamer, I'd love to see a massive power play like Capcom or Sega being snapped up. Something like that would shake up the entire industry forever. As huge as the Bethesda deal is, seeing things like Sonic or Resident Evil tied to one platform would change the entire gaming landscape.

Conker and Banjo blew me away on N64 and they still do today on Xbox. Surely now would be a great time for sequels. 3D platformers haven't been this popular in years.

This should definitely happen. I loved both of these games. The more Xbox exclusives the better.

I remember going into Game and playing Dead or Alive on their demo unit. I was blown away by the quality of the graphics and I'm genuinely still impressed by them today.

I hope this doesn't become a consistent thing with Series S. I really don't want to see the system phased out as it's a fantastic machine for the money.

Random question given the topic, but does anyone else who owns multiple consoles buy certain games for one machine over another? I find myself buying a game on Switch or Xbox or PlayStation because it feels right for that system. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I'm going to get this for Xbox so that I can have almost the complete selection of games on one machine. I'd like to see NG3 available via BC at some point to have to full list.

I love this series and I'm hoping for a comeback now that the deal has gone through.

@mousieone I love the Dreamcast controller. Even the cable being in the wrong place doesn't bother me. And I actually bought a Duke for my OG Xbox from eBay a couple of months ago.

The Dualshock 1, 2 and 3 are still my least favourite controllers ever. They were far too cramped and symmetrical for the sake of it. Poor triggers and sticks. I prefer my Atari Jaguar controller to those abominations.

I never understood the hate for the N64 controller and you certainly didn't need 3 hands to play it.

@NEStalgia Xbox Live brought online gaming to the mainstream console audience. Dreamcast pioneered this and Sony then followed the Xbox model with the PS3 generation.

@BlueOcean The Original NG3 only had one melee weapon but there were some darker moments and different alternate world scenes. I liked both versions.
