@Xiovanni It was and still is fantastic. I still play it regularly. It's a shame they went backwards a little with Team Sonic Racing.

Such a shame. It looks wonderful and I've been after a genuine Mario Kart competitor for ages. Sonic All-Stars Transformed came closest.

I am really enjoying this so far. I actually prefer the slower pace of this compared to some of the more trigger happy FPS games out there.

I'm a big fan of Rick and Morty humour but even I was slightly surprised to be offered a big fat line of cocaine in the first 2 minutes. 🤣

@Would_you_kindly He doesn't do the exact opposite. Xbox exclusives are available in more ways and on more platforms than PlayStation exclusives. That's a simple fact.

I'm one of the only people in the world who loved Devil's Third. I really enjoyed the mixed gameplay mechanics and cannot wait for this game for the same reasons.

Including mobile and PC does massively skew those numbers.

I really wish that platform holders would create some kind of trade in programme though.

I ordered this on PS5 but didn't realise it only came in a steel book so I returned it. I really hate steel books. Hopefully this will be in a standard case.

I own consoles from all 3 platform holders so think of myself as platform agnostic. However, there's just something about Jim Ryan's pathetic, hypocritical, whining that makes me like PlayStation less as a brand. Nintendo isn't the biggest gaming brand in the world. Xbox isn't the biggest gaming brand in the world. It's PlayStation. Yet he acts like he's president of a tiny start-up being bullied in the playground by the older kids.

I've also said this before but, Sony bought EVERY single studio that makes their wonderful first party games. Just because Microsoft has the wallet to do so on a bigger scale, in one hit, doesn't mean it's not the same thing.

From my own experience, I've bought plenty of games I wouldn't have gone near if it wasn't for the ability of playing them first on Game Pass

Bizarrely, I could see Microsoft seizing this opportunity to reduce the price of the Series X. It would be a massive statement to have an £80 difference between both consoles.

This is an updated PS1 game. It should have maximum output on both X|S surely???

Luckily I also have both. I use my Series S solely as a Game Pass machine and any disc or digital games are stored on the HDD/SSD attached to my Series X. I wanted both and had to justify purchasing them to my wife.

I'd love to see this on console. I was gutted when it wasn't made available via backwards compatibility. The scene on the conveyor belt still haunts me.

I actually thought this looked bad. Yes, the cars were shiny, but I thought the trees and water looked terrible.

I do hope that Code Veronica gets the remake treatment at some point. Capcom seem to have completely forgotten that game exists.

The thing is that nobody is buying a PlayStation for PS+. Plenty of people are buying Xbox consoles for Game Pass.

@russbeer The Original Xbox wasn't up against the Wii. It was PS2, Dreamcast and GameCube that generation.

The Original Xbox for me. I worked in retail at the time and it really annoyed me how many customers would completely ignore the system in favour of the PS2. It didn't matter how impressive the first party games were or how much better multiplatform games looked and played, they just blindly wanted a PlayStation. To be fair, it was a masterclass in marketing from Sony, which is why the Dreamcast, despite having an amazing catalogue of exclusives, sadly never stood a chance either.

Thankfully things have changed since then.

@mousieone They didn't need to have anyone internally to work on it. They could have done exactly what Sony did and partner with Insomniac.

I could see this working if there was some kind of trade in centre. Maybe a retailer takes the games in and gives you codes for the games. Either that or sending them to Microsoft directly. I could be a good PR move from the point of view of removing plastic from the environment.

This really isn't important. Does anyone actually care about getting 100% achievements for games? Surely that's not the reason to play a particular game. Ubisoft should not be expected to pay to run servers for the few people who still play their legacy games.

I own both so I've definitely helped those figures.

I'm ashamed to say I probably have around 500 games across platforms that I have never played.

Anyway, fair play to Sony when they did this (although it pained me massively at the time). I think Microsoft would have done the same if the roles were reversed.
