@Kaloudz so Zero is the best place to start but it has the absolute worst opening hour or so. That tutorial bit is such a slog but once you’re through it and the story hits it’s so good.

It’s so much fun. Played 2 hours on Xbox then continued on my Legion Go until it crashed another 2 hours later.

Very addictive.

Got it for £15 from CDKeys so pretty happy with that. Looking forward to playing though got to re-learn the game.

@Weebleman nah no way did you seem argumentative man. If someone had asked me before I might have said 2nd party but I feel like thats a relic from back in the day where we used to say Rare was 2nd party to Nintendo. Or even the “Capcom five” in the Gamecube days.

But yea this isn’t Spiderman/God of War etc. but it does show Nixxes is sitting there with an Xbox dev kit, and that studio enjoys porting PS4 games.

@Weebleman my point is Playstation and Xbox see these games as first party. They own the IP and finance the game, so they see it as first party. They confirmed as much, whether you or I or @NishimuraX agree with it or not.

Xbox even took it a step further and said Ninja Gaiden 4 is first party. They don’t even own that IP.

Ultimately 1st or 3rd party is a matter of perspective. E.g. Forza Horizon 5 and Gears Reloaded are 1st party for Xbox. But from Sony’s perspective they are 3rd party.

@NishimuraX Helldivers II is as first party as MS Flight Simulator. Sony see it as First Party. This isn’t third party in the slightest bit.

Just buy it guys 🤦‍♂️. This could decide whether we get more from Playstation Publishing or not.

This sucks and I love the idea of them helping fund these studios (even experienced like Romero). Microsoft really went to town on Xbox.

If they could somehow assign Xbox achievements to Steam games that would be wild! Never see it happening but just saying.

(I know there are a few Steam games that unlock Xbox achievements but those are first party).

@themightyant I don’t think it’s a random time to announce it. Sony just officially put out a fireside chat where they talk about Xbox dropping the console altogether. Xbox probably thought they should address that - i’m glad they did!

@Questionable_Duck yea i’ve made that point before about Sony being able to increase their share of a game sale. Microsoft is putting itself in a position where it has relinquished control.

Having a console on the market surely is such an advantageous position in the industry EVEN if you are in third place. You can help steer the industry in whichever way you like.

But they would rather be at Sony’s mercy.

@Altaria_97 it means you can stream them if you own them (digitally surely) even if they aren’t on Gamepass. BUT I think you need to still have Gamepass to do so.

Oblivion is the best of them but if you ignore that since it’s a classic, and having not played Doom; I would rank the others:

Indiana Jones
Avowed
South of Midnight
Hellblade II

With the top 3 being great games. I think the metacritic is slightly too low for both Avowed and SoM.

@Frmknst urm.. yea I will enjoy what I enjoy. The last 5 games I rolled credits on are Avowed, Split Fiction, South of Midnight, Blue Prince and now Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. All great games. I also like Dynasty Warriors.

Very excited for this. 3 is one of my favourite games of all time and yet I didn’t play much of 4 back in the day.

@dreadful I play games for fun not because they have an impact. I think Xbox’s line up has been pretty awesome and has a lot of variety.

So whilst TrueTrophies is an embarrassingly small sample of Playstation players with trophies unlocked - I thought i’d compare the games between eachother in terms of # of players on PS5:

Honestly they are keeping the industry interesting and have been the last couple of years.

The daily conversation in gaming has been about Xbox. They have the biggest and best showcase annually plus multiple others throughout the year.

They have games coming to every platform. And they have both quality and quantity.

I don’t understand the industry’s love for Playstation. Xbox is becoming an incredible games publisher. I wonder how long they can keep this up.

@Nintendo4Sonic Sony haven’t even given Lego Horizon, Patapon or Hot Shots golf lol.

When Xbox went multiplatform I either wanted it to fail spectacularly or actually do amazingly well. Since it seems to be doing well the only real benefits are that -

1) yes more cash to fund gamepass and more games from these IPs we love

2) happy Devs since they get their games out to as many as possible

3) maybe, just maybe, Sony shareholders are looking at this like 👀 “we want some of that”. Though if anything it will be more Switch releases than Xbox.

I do wonder how many people will finish this on Playstation then try 2 and 3 on an actual Xbox instead of waiting for the Playstation versions.

@Lup another reason they’re the main target is because it’s a second remaster of this game. They love that kinda thing.

Excuse to release it on PS5 no doubt. But still should be great to revisit. Love this game so much.

Though interestingly the games going to $80 will affect more people on Playstation than Xbox due to not having the option of Gamepass.

The whole thing about looking at physical only uk only charts is that they just don’t tell us much.

But either way Switch copies quite often sell more than Playstation copies. That doesn’t mean Playstation isn’t viable. So same same for Xbox.

It makes sense for revenue of course but it’s just a shame they didn’t give their console much of a chance after the acquisitions. Imo Zenimax has been an incredible purchase and would have given Xbox almost a must have library single-handedly.

But it’s happening so whatever. Still think XGS should be exclusive and make ABK and Zenimax multiplat.

Do you not worry about your job? If everything is an Xbox and literally all the same games go everywhere then Xbox news is Playstation news etc.

Either way I think Sony is actually a scummy company and I will happily stick with the next Xbox instead.

I actually think this is one of the dumbest analysis. All it is saying is most people on Xbox are playing the game via their Gamepass subscription. Are these people getting paid for this? Fml

@IOI think you’re mistaking SIE for Playstation Studios. Bungie is a part of SIE, hence why I specified that. So no maybe not God of War or Spiderman, but maybe Patapon 🤣
