Re: Forza Horizon 5 Officially Announced For PS5, Drifts Over In Spring 2025

@Isolte yea numbers should be better but Xbox is stacking the hell out of Playstation’s 2025 so much so that gamepass might cross PS players minds at some point;

At least: Indiana Jones, Forza Horizon 5, Doom TDA, COD whatever, The Outer Worlds 2, Ninja Gaiden 4.

Plus probably Halo MCC, Age of Empires 2 and Flight Sim.

It adds up for sure.

@Fiendish-Beaver it does matter 100%. But it’s basically done at this point. Every new release will be on Playstation (even after a small delay like we will see with Avowed and South of Midnight). We all just need to wrap our heads round it.

I personally don’t like it. It’s a privileged point of view but I love the idea of buying each of the big 3 and enjoying each of their exclusives. If all the games are on one console, that to me is - lot less exciting.

Going to be a sad day when PureXbox gets merged with TimeExtension.

Also I just want to say that I think what really is pissing me off is Phil’s attitude in those recent interviews. He is acting like they have always been multiplatform and people should be ashamed of questioning the approach (like Destin did with Starfield). But it’s their own comments that made people confused in the first place. “Don’t take this as a sign that everything is going, it’s not”. Etc. Now he is acting like this has always been their value.

For anyone who says they don’t care - just remember that when PureXbox shuts down because PushSquare and NintendoLife will be covering the same content for the same exact games.

All Destin or Parris needed to ask was “Will Xbox have any intentional exclusives going forward” and if the answer was No then there you go. But instead they frame it in a way that is so easy for Phil to answer, and gives us no information. At least Destin asked about Starfield specifically.

Re: Xbox Will Continue To Ship More Games On PlayStation And Nintendo

I think it’s a bad thing but i’m at a point now where it’s time to sit back and just enjoy (okay perhaps not enjoy) the craziness of what is about to happen. Xbox wants to self destruct then whatever - unless they know something we don’t.

Clearly more and more internal studios wanted to release Multiplatform. I wonder if Playstation Studios are going to see Xbox dominate the charts and wish they could be Multiplatform too. E.g. could Insomniac be unhappy if Sony always says no?

And now more and more spending on Playstation will actually be on Xbox games, how much consumer cash will be left over for things like Ghost of Yotei?

I really am interested in how Sony feels about all this. Like it’s good for them but there will definitely be some concerns. It’s more competition on their own platform.

Either way though I do think this should never have happened and people just want it for the drama and to have great games on their Playstation. Short term wins but massive damage to the industry (in my opinion).

Re: Xbox's South Of Midnight Brings Folklore Magic To Game Pass This April

K1LLEGAL

@HonestHick I agree with you (and I stick up for Xbox too!).

Imagine if Xbox wasn’t mentioned on PushSquare. It would actually be crickets. But it is. All of the industry conversation seems to involve Xbox. But if you mention Playstation out of place people get a little upset.

There has to be concern at Playstation (and its shareholders) looking at this green tidal wave heading towards them. Since every Playstation player seems to want to play Xbox games on their “Pro” that they all seem to have; will they have any money left for actual Playstation Studios games? Indiana Jones, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Doom The Dark Ages, COD, etc it all adds up.

Either way what an awesome showcase (as usual!). I’ve been so interested in South of Midnight since that first trailer. Can’t wait!

Re: Physical Game Sales 'Collapsed' In The UK Last Year, Says New Report

K1LLEGAL

As more and more handhelds (be it Playstation or Xbox) come out, the thing that won’t be compatible with them is your physical collection.

So whilst Xbox is by far the worst for physical; I do think they are preparing people to have a digital library ready for the handheld(s) when it hits.

That said I enjoy physical media too.

Re: All Of These Xbox Games Will Turn Off Their Servers In Early 2025

K1LLEGAL

@Jenkinss I haven’t played that game specifically. But this is the unsung hero of Gamepass - having access to the exact same library of multiplayer games as your friends.

For me i’ve always bought games but my friends don’t spend nearly as much. So a lot of the time I would have a game but no one to play multiplayer with. But Gamepass means we all have access. So good.

Re: It Might Be Old, But The Xbox 360 Is Still An Amazing Console In 2024

K1LLEGAL

@themightyant I actually have an amazing experience playing the games still this year on it. However, lack of dashboarding/quick resume obviously sucks.

And the actual dashboard of my 360 is the slowest thing in the world. Does anyone else have this? Like it’s so slow, and then it finally gets to the game you want and then it’s absolutely fine.

Re: Phil Spencer Explains Why 'This Is An Xbox' Will Be Beneficial To Console Owners

K1LLEGAL

@TeiGekiLord yea MS aren’t saints but you’re missing my point. They are doing that themselves and earning the money themselves. The revenue from Xbox ports on Playstation is basically Xbox handing Playstation funding to screw over Xbox. It’s a different thing. I’m saying they should stop encouraging that.

Playstation are scummy but their own success is their own success.

Re: Phil Spencer Explains Why 'This Is An Xbox' Will Be Beneficial To Console Owners

K1LLEGAL

I don’t have an issue with the play anywhere marketing. I think it’s actually good. I don’t even have an issue with porting to Nintendo.

My issue is specifically with Playstation and here is why:

Phil Spencer already acknowledged that Playstation would use revenue from games on their system, such as Sea of Thieves or Indiana Jones, to fund more timed and permanent exclusives.

It’s as simple as that.

Making games available to more people isn’t spitting on Xbox fans. But knowing that Playstation will do the above, and then continuing to give them ports to help fund that, is pretty disrespectful.

If Halo goes to Playstation and sells really well. What do you think PlayStation is going to do with that money?
