There have been some network issues with Elden Ring on Xbox over the weekend, but it seems these issues have now been resolved. This information comes from Xbox's Brad Rossetti via an update over on Twitter - here are the full details:
Xbox Users - The network issue with Elden Ring has been resolved - no more "Network status check failed" message!
Apparently, this fix is in the form of a back-end update to Elden Ring, not an actual patch for the Xbox version. If we hear from Bandai Namco or From Software, we'll let you know.
Did you encounter any network issues with Elden Ring on Xbox? Is it all good now? Tell us down in the comments.

My Series X won’t connect to Live Gold. In settings i’m connected to internet but in game it won’t connect. Both Elden Ring an Forza H 5.
Nice been meaning to gang up on the npcs instead of getting ganged up on myself for once.
On the start screen the version and calibration numbers have changed to 1.2.1 and everything seems fine with online at the moment signed straight in this morning, loads of player ghosts and messages in my game earlier.
Great to see messages and bloodstains. Makes the place feel more alive
Great! I can see if I can get some help on these bosses now.
Actually it worked quite nicely not being able to get any help for the first couple of days though
Fantastic news! I had actually someone invade my game the other day, despite receiving this error message. No idea how they managed but I was very confused when it happened.
Just reached an area full of warrior class bloodstains and their ghostly deaths, so nice to blast things from a distance and not be a crimson puddle...different story with the giant bears though....ouch
I don't get people saying the game is unplayable....on the series X it runs completely fine.....either my game is running differently to others somehow or people are ridiculously self entitled ..to a confusing point because like I said it runs fine
Can't comment on other console and PC obviously
@Medic_Alert which game was the first?
@Medic_Alert Confused then because im not the kind to ignore issues if they are there.....my game runs literally buttery smooth....and I haven't got a TV that has vrr
I am playing on prioritize frame rate..which I assume you have tried and I also assume you are on the series x
Running buttery smooth in performance mode on my Series X as well, on my budget samsung 4k smart tv which has no vrr capability
@Medic_Alert VRR is absolutely required to this. It is absolutely ass without it.
@Microbius Digital foundry already broke it down and showed that on Series X it is indeed not buttery smooth. In fact, far from it with PS5 performing a good bit better.
I was gonna buy it, but glad I waited, because despite its stellar reviews, people are having serious performance issues ,especially on newer consoles, like the one x/ps4 pro versions run better than current gen versions like @Medic_Alert mentions, so I wait till there are some more patches out.
@InterceptorAlpha @Medic_Alert
Well it runs perfectly smooth for myself on prioritise frame rate and I am very sensitive to such things as frame rate issues makes me feel ill if something is off and I do know what I'm talking about and digital foundry's experience of the game does not reflect my own experience and many others out there and that's not because they don't know what they are talking about its because it simply is not happening for them either perhaps for myself its because I run a clean system only playing one game at a time with nothing else cluttering up the quick resume with a few hundred gigs of drive space free as well at all times my machine is fully shut down and not left on standby mode leaving a cluttered cache etc.
Like while many others had problems with a sluggish ui mine has been snappy and instant since day one perhaps another benefit of a clean system or perhaps I am one of the lucky ones who just have a series x build that just runs that little bit better than others
It's nice now having the bloodstains and messages left by other players. I've not done co-op yet but might give it a go this week
I played the first two day in offline mode i had a blast i really think it's the right way to play elden ring getting online mean create harder outcome with the ridicule amount of people who invade your session each 3 minutes and you get nerf alot online so coop isn't for me.
